<img src="https://https://ift.tt/2xglTov" /><p><a href="https://ift.tt/2sW8a14 2018</em> </strong></a>co-writer Danny McBride reveals he and David Gordon Green almost pitched two sequels to be shot back-to-back – but decided better of it. The new <em>Halloween</em> will wipe the slate clean for the franchise, ignoring the events of every other movie bar the<a href="https://ift.tt/2sJler7"> 1978 original</a>. The 2018 film will act as a direct sequel, and will bring back Jamie Lee Curtis as iconic final girl Laurie Strode. Series creator John Carpenter will also return to compose the score, while original Michael Myers performer Nick Castle will reprise the role for <a href="https://ift.tt/2JwqMM5 couple of scenes</a>.</p><p>This won't be the first time the <a href="https://ift.tt/2sIwKmu> series has hit the reset button. The franchise has around four separate timelines already, including Rob Zombie's remakes. The series has become so tangled it would be near impossible to tie it all together at this point; in fact, Curtis' Laurie Strode has already died twice across the differing timelines.
