Bachelor: Biggest News Stories From Franchise Cast This Week (Oct. 4)

Bachelor In Paradise season 7 is one week away from its climactic conclusion, and the cast and media alike finally went a week without a single mention of the Brendan Morais, Pieper James, and Natasha Parker drama that has haunted this season. At this point on BIP season 7, the cast is settling into different couples and thinking deeper into the possibility of an engagement at the end of this process. Though the beach may be filled with sunsets and rainbows, a day never goes by without a little drama. This time, the heat was at the hands of contestant Ivan Hall, who broke production protocols and ended up being labeled as a "liar" by the rest of the cast.

As the cast prepared for eliminations, franchise bartender and master of ceremonies Wells Adams addressed the group to pull Ivan aside. Later in the conversation, Ivan admitted that despite being sequestered in his hotel room when the cast were sheltered from the tropical storm the night before, he left and found Alexa Caves from Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor. She was supposed to arrive the beach later that week. Ivan continued to reveal that he found her hotel room number on a producer's phone and proceeded to spend the night together on her balcony. He later told his co-stars that he blamed his headspace for that impulsive decision. He then left the show.

While new cast members are shaking things up, ABC has also made several announcements this week. For starters, just after Wells put his hat in the ring to replace Chris Harrison as the long-term host of the franchise, the network announced a different alum to take on the role. Secondly, ABC finally revealed the names, ages, and occupations of the men who'll be competing for Michelle Young's heart on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette.

Jesse Palmer will host The Bachelor season 26 following longtime host Chris Harrison's controversial exit from the series. The 42-year-old former football player holds the franchise near and dear to his heart given that he once led his own season of The Bachelor back in 2004. Although he gave his final rose to Jessica Bowlin, the couple broke up shortly after the show aired. Jesse is now engaged to model Emely Fardo and has amassed plenty of experience hosting shows such as The Proposal, Holiday Baking Championship, and The Ultimate Surfer. In a new statement, Jesse expressed his excitement to play a small role in another man's journey to falling in love. "For more than 20 years, The Bachelor has brought the world dozens of unforgettable love stories, including at one time, my own," Jesse said. "Falling in love is one of life's greatest gifts, and I am humbled by the opportunity to return to the show as host this season to offer the newest Bachelor advice gained from firsthand experience and I am grateful to play a small part in his journey." Following his statement, Jesse posted a snazzy picture of himself dressed to impress and standing in front of the iconic The Bachelor mansion.

ABC has finally revealed the 30 men who will be fighting to win Michelle Young's heart in the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. It seems like the 28-year-old elementary school teacher is serious about her role. In fact, she ensured that all of this season's contestants are over the age of 25 and ready for a lifetime commitment. Among the men are Alec (29), Clayton (28), Brandon J. (26), Brandon K (29), Bryan (31), Casey (36), Chris G. (28), Chris S. (28), Daniel (26), Edward (27), Garrett (33), Jack (30), Jamie (32), Joe (28), JoMarri (26), Leroy (27), LT (38), Martin (29), Mollique (36), Nayte (27), Olumide (27), Pardeep (30), Peter (26), PJ (30), Rick (32), Rodney (29), Romeo (32), Ryan (30), Spencer (25), and Will (28). The contestants' occupations range everywhere from a biotech CEO to an NFL player to a "pizzapreneur." ABC also shared a video of the men to showcase how beloved the new Bachelorette lead will be. "She's got the whole package," Chris G said. Rick gushed over Michelle's smile, while Casey adored that she is "sweet and down to earth." In the video, there were multiple clips of Michelle kissing the men. "I am looking for someone to take my breath away. Bring on the men," she said.

Though Michael Allio was a fan favorite from Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette, the reality star was left puzzled by the producers choosing a fresh face to lead the next installment of the beloved series. While the reality star was answering fan questions on his Instagram story last Sunday, Michael hinted he wanted to be the lead of The Bachelor season 26, but when a fan asked why it didn't pan out, he react with, "Hm. I don't know." In a classy format, Michael followed up his response by reassuring fans that the person chosen to become The Bachelor "is going to be a really good one." Michael was never shy about discussing his difficult past, especially when it came to the passing of his late wife Laura Ritter-Allio, who died from cancer at the age of 33. Despite his loss, Michael felt ready to explore another path of love. Alas, he ultimately quit the show so he could reunite with his 4-year-old son.

Clare Crawley and Dale Moss called off their engagement again nearly two months after their initial reunion. The couple has had a rollercoaster relationship since the moment Clare shut down production on her season of The Bachelorette two weeks into filming in order to leave as an engaged woman. Though the pair have called it quits before due to disagreements on kids and living locations, a source told Page Six that "this time, it's for good." The source added that their last fight "didn't end well." The news serves as a confirmation after break-up rumors started circulating around Bachelor Nation. Fans caught on to the possible split when they noticed Clare last posted her former boo two weeks ago when they attended the US Open in New York together. Meanwhile, Dale has been seen attending multiple public events either solo or with his male friends, sans Clare.

Wells Adams is still gunning for a big wedding ceremony with his bride-to-be Sarah Hyland despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Since Wells got down on one knee in 2019, the couple has tried to solidify their relationship twice, but they haven't yet been able to make their marriage official. Due to health concerns and the unpredictability of the COVID-19 pandemic, wedding plans were put on hold, leaving the two eagerly awaiting the date when they could finally walk down the aisle. Now that there's a little glimmer of light at the end of this dark COVID-19 tunnel, Wells told ET that he and Sarah are standing their ground in throwing a large celebration and don't feel the need to rush into something that won't reflect the beautiful fairytale they've planned. "We're kind of so committed that we're like, 'Well, we got to have the big wedding.' And so, it's coming," he teased. Wells explained that he and Sarah want to have a big wedding partly because the couple has "a lot of rich friends" and will be expecting impressive gifts from each of them when the day comes.

Wells also made headlines this week when he told the media he hopes ABC producers will promote him to host of The Bachelor full-time following Chris Harrison's exit. It seems as though the beloved former contestant was definitely in the running as he returned to the franchise as the Bachelor In Paradise bartender and most recently got promoted to be this season's master of ceremonies. Unfortunately for him and many other fans within Bachelor Nation, Jesse Palmer was chosen to take the role just a few days later.

Doom Patrol: Who Are The Sisterhood of Dada (Comics Origin & History)

Warning: Contains spoilers for Doom Patrol episode 4.

In Doom Patrol season 3 episode 4, “Undead Patrol,” the show gave the first confirmation of the Sisterhood of Dada, a group that has a complex origin and history in the comics. The name of the group had previously been teased, along with the Brotherhood of Evil, in the Doom Patrol season 3 trailer. However, this was the first use of the name in the show and the episode also named one of their key members from the comics.

Michelle Gomez’s character was announced before the show aired as Madame Rouge, an important member of the Brotherhood of Evil who led to the group's downfall as well as the deaths of the original Doom Patrol. In the series itself, the character has amnesia and has only just remembered her name. She discovered an old film in Doom Manor that showed two members of the Sisterhood of Dada, Shelley Byron and herself, providing her with her real name: Laura De Mille.

Related: Doom Patrol Theory: Why The Brotherhood Of Evil Don't Want To Kill Rita

Given that Laura De Mille/Madame Rouge has time-traveled from the past, it is unclear how the rest of the Sisterhood of Dada, who would have been her contemporaries, might appear in the present-day Doom Patrol. However, the show has played fast and loose with time (previously having introduced Doctor Tyme) and the longevity of many characters. Here’s everything to know about the origins of the Sisterhood of Dada, their powers, and what it could mean for Doom Patrol.

In the comics, the Sisterhood of Dada is called the Brotherhood of Dada with the name being a deliberate play on the Brotherhood of Evil. They first appeared in “Doom Patrol” issue #26 and were created by Grant Morrison. The group was formed by Eric Morden, AKA Mr. Nobody who was the main antagonist for Doom Patrol season 1, played by Alan Tudyk. Originally a member of the Brotherhood of Evil, Morden attempted to betray the group but was forced to flee to Paraguay where, as part of an experiment at the hands of a Nazi scientist, he was turned into Mr. Nobody.

With his new power, Mr. Nobody decides to start a new Brotherhood of his own but instead of focusing on evil, a concept Mr. Nobody views as overplayed, he focuses on celebrating the absurdity of life. The name of the Brotherhood of Dada draws on the avant-garde art movement from early-20th century Europe, which - to give a simplified description - rejected logic and reason as a response to the incomprehensible atrocities of World War 1. Mr. Nobody traveled the world and collected members for his new group which includes The Fog, The Quiz, Frenzy, and Sleepwalk.

The original Brotherhood of Dada executed a plot where they used a painting that they took from a collector called Eismann. The painting could absorb anything and swallowed up Paris, the Brotherhood of Dada, and the Doom Patrol. While Paris and the Doom Patrol were able to escape, the Brotherhood made a new home in the painting. Mr. Nobody was later able to escape and formed a new version of the Brotherhood of Dada.

Related: Doom Patrol Season 3, Episode 4 Credits Scene & Monster Setup Explained

For Doom Patrol, it seems likely that they are changing the origin story drastically. Mr. Nobody embodied many of the traits of his Dada-esque comics portrayal but never mentioned his own supergroup. The painting that swallowed Paris appeared in both Doom Patrol season 1 and 2 and has captured Mr. Nobody (aside from the possible fourth wall breaking of Alan Tudyk getting another DC gig on Harley Quinn). With Mr. Nobody and the painting already used, it is likely that the series will invent an entirely new origin for the group.

The Brotherhood of Dada consisted of both men and women, with both Sleepwalk and The Quiz being female. The series is switching it to the Sisterhood of Dada, helping it to be a more obvious dichotomy to the Brotherhood of Evil, and including more female members. The Fog’s name in the comic drew on two Romantic era poets, Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley, to be Byron Shelley. In Doom Patrol season 3, the series seems to be having the character present as female and has switched their name to be Shelley Byron.

Laura De Mille’s Madame Rouge has also been added to be a part of the Sisterhood of Dada as well. As Laura De Mille is a shapeshifter and might have been the true target of the Brotherhood of Evil’s assassination, not Rita Farr, it is possible that Madame Rouge was still a member of the Brotherhood of Evil. This would suggest that the show is taking Madame Rouge’s betrayal of the Brotherhood of Evil and using it as the spark for her to take over Mr. Nobody’s storyline as the origin of the Sisterhood of Dada.

Aside from Madame Rouge, the only member of the Sisterhood of Dada that has been confirmed within Doom Patrol itself is Shelley Byron’s The Fog (played by Wynn Everett who portrayed Whitney Frost in Agent Carter). In the comics, The Fog can turn into a sentient haze that will absorb the souls of anyone it touches. The minds of those devoured remain trapped inside The Fog’s head and become a part of them in a similar way to Marvel’s Legion.

Related: Doom Patrol Season 3 Trailer Teases A Powerful DC Superhero Could Appear

The Doom Patrol season 3 trailer, as well as showing The Fog, also teased versions of all the other members of the original Sisterhood of Dada. In the comics, Sleepwalk/Holly McKenzie (Anita Kalathara) has prophetic abilities along with extreme strength and endurance, but only when she is asleep. Frenzy/Lloyd Malcolm Jefferson (Miles Mussenden) was born with bicycle wheels protruding from his back and had the power to turn into a living cyclone. Finally, Doom Patrol is introducing The Quiz (Gina Hiraizumi) has one of the most powerful abilities of all: she has any power that her opponents have not thought of. There has been no hint of any of the second iteration of the Brotherhood of Dada, but if Michelle Gomez’s Madame Rouge survives Doom Patrol season 3, she could easily return with a whole new team in season 4.

Why Hydra Is Still Defining The MCU (7 Years After Winter Soldier)

Seven years after Captain America: The Winter Soldier revealed that HYDRA had been secretly revived inside of S.H.I.E.L.D. and 6 years after Avengers: Age of Ultron weeded out most of its key members, HYDRA still seems to have its talons buried in the storylines of the MCU. Recent storylines from Phase 4 like Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Marvel’s What If…? have alluded to the parasitic terrorist organization, even though it has been largely wiped out.

After the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, HYDRA was essentially a threat defeated (though, of course, many have thought that before). The Avengers were called together at the beginning of Age of Ultron to seek out and destroy any hidden HYDRA agents, namely Baron Von Strucker. Ultron kills Strucker, and when Phase 3 shifts to more severe alien threats, HYDRA is pushed to the backburner. However, “if a head is cut off, two more shall take its place,” and with HYDRA references starting to make their way back into the MCU after the defeat of Thanos, there is every chance that the organization still slumbers.

Related: Shang-Chi's Red Skull Easter Egg Sets Up Hydra's Return - Theory Explained

Why does HYDRA still have such an influence on the MCU? Much like Captain America was the first Avenger, HYDRA was the first overarching threat to the MCU. HYDRA’s thread ran through many movies from Phases 1 and 2, tying together characters and motivations that drove the storylines forward. Though it appears to be defeated, there is every chance that HYDRA will resurface as an enemy entity again; it is the organization’s nature to persevere, biding its time in the shadows.

Phase 4 pursuits such as the Disney+MCU TV shows Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Marvel’s What If…? have built storylines around key HYDRA characters and events. What If…?’s debut episode imagined a super-soldier Peggy Carter instead of Steve Rogers, thus beginning the show much like the MCU began: with HYDRA as the primary threat. In Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson learns about HYDRA and Dr. Wilfred Nagel’s attempts to create a super serum after the failure of the Winter Soldier Program. Sam Wilson will officially take on the role of Captain America in future films and - since Cap is, first and foremost, HYDRA’s greatest threat no matter who is wearing the stars and stripes, HYDRA could return in Captain America 4.

Some theories have also placed Xu Xialing and Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine at the forefront of a new HYDRA organization. Fans noticed that Shang Chi’s sister had a poster of the Red Skull in her office in Macao, leading many to believe that she could have been influenced by his beliefs and may become part of a new strand of HYDRA. Even more interesting is Contessa de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who has appeared in Black Widow and Falcon and the Winter Soldier to recruit John Walker and Yelena Belova to an unknown organization. In Marvel Comics, de Fontaine claims the role of Madame Hydra, making her presence in multiple Phase 4 storylines an indication of how she could be a major threat in the future.

Whether or not HYDRA will actually return to MCU’s Phase 4 as a serious threat, it is clear that the organization continues to define storylines in the MCU. Perhaps, as such a large threat to S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers, it simply has had lasting repercussions on the events and characters. But more than likely, these easter eggs and references scattered throughout Phase 4 are not inconsequential, and more than 7 years after their supposed defeat in Captain America: Winter Soldier, HYDRA will rise again.

The Eternals Are Fighting the Avengers of One Million BC

Warning: contains a preview of Eternals: Celestia #1

One of the Marvel Universe’s oldest teams, the Eternals are set to take on another ancient team, the Avengers of One Million BC, and Marvel has offered a special preview for Eternals: Celestia #1, on sale in print and digital October 6.

The Eternals were created by the mysterious Celestials millions of years in Earth’s past. They live apart from humanity, but occasionally involve themselves in human matters and some Eternals would even inspire Earth’s myths and legends. In the modern era, the Eternals work more openly, and a few, including the Forgotten One and Sersi, even served as Avengers. Coexisting for a while with the Eternals were the Avengers of One Million BC, created by Jason Aaron and appearing in his Avengers run. The team, led by Odin, consists of the first Black Panther, the first Starbrand, the first Phoenix Force Host, and more. This team has fought off a number of menaces to Earth—including the Celestials, and it was only a matter of time before they crossed paths with the Eternals. And that time has come. Eternals: Celestia #1 is written by Kieron Gillen, with art by Kei Zama, inks by Zama and John Livesay, colors by Matthew Wilson and letters by Clayton Cowles.

Related: Kang's Greatest Enemy is Ultron (Not the Avengers)

The preview opens with Ajax, the sole Eternal who can understand the Celestials, sitting on an empty throne, revealing that the Celestials created the Eternals and then abandoned them. Millions of years prior, Ajax is communing with one, and she tells it she “understands” and that she and the rest are “ready to act.” Ajax then asks a machine how she might find “them.” As if on cue, the machine teleports her to the desert, where she comes face to face with the Avengers of One Million BC—who look ready for a fight.

Given the Eternals have been on Earth since prehistory, it makes perfect sense they would meet the Avengers of One Million BC. As mentioned earlier, this team of Avengers fought and defeated a Celestial—how might Ajax and the rest of the Eternals react to this news? Ajax was clearly seeking the team out—was she instructed to do so by the Celestial? For what purpose? Will they have to fight another Celestial? Or conversely, do the Celestials, and the Eternals, need their help?

The Eternals are riding high as of late, receiving a new, critically acclaimed title as well as a feature film debuting later this year. Now, fans will get to see what happens when two of Marvel’s oldest teams, the Eternals and the Avengers of One Million BC, meet for the first time.

Cars 4 Becomes R-Rated in Hilarious Owen Wilson SNL Skit

Saturday Night Live started off season 47 strong with a Cars sketch featuring Owen Wilson as an R-rated version of Lightning McQueen. SNL's premiere episode starred Loki's Wilson as its guest host and Kasey Musgraves as its musical guest. The hosts for the next three episodes have also been revealed, with Kim Kardashian West and Halsey on deck for guest host and musical guest for episode 2. They will be followed by Rami Malek and Young Thug, and Ted Lasso's Jason Sudeikis and Brandi Carlile. Most of the central SNL cast has remained the same, however, Beck Bennett and Lauren Holt will not be back for this season. New cast members Sarah Sherman and James Austin Johnson have joined in their place.

Cars 4 hasn't been announced by Disney, but it wouldn't be a surprise to many viewers if it were to be confirmed soon. The Cars saga follows the little red car that could, Lightning McQueen, as he competes in major races and makes friends along the way. The Cars franchise has been hugely successful for Pixar. Not only has the studio created film projects Cars, Cars 2 and Cars 3, but the franchise is getting a Disney+ series titled Cars: The Series. Another one of Pixar's big hits, Toy Story, has been stretched across four movies so far, so it's certainly possible for Cars.

Related: SNL Has To Stop Picking Non-Actors To Host

SNL uploaded its recent Cars 4 sketch from the October 2 episode to YouTube. In the video, Wilson thinks he's coming in for a regular recording session for another family-friendly Disney sequel. He is greeted by the animation team, played by Mikey Day and Punkie Johnson, who inform him that they don't know too much about the film because they were only sent small segments. Aside from the overabundant use of "Kachow!" the script appears to be standard. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, McQueen becomes "the bad guy" when he starts, as Wilson puts it, "creeping on girl cars and then arguing with their dads and husbands." Watch this strange new version of Lightning McQueen in the clip below:

After Wilson insists that Lightning McQueen seems very off in this script, the team send in Larry the Cable guy, played by James Austin Johnson. McQueen's character only gets worse as he continues to say highly inappropriate things to his fellow characters. Just when Wilson is about to walk away from the bizarre scene, however, he reads the hefty salary on his contract and agrees to compromise his morals for the role, saying "this thing isn't gonna record itself!" Most fans will remember that Wilson actually voiced Lightning McQueen in the first three Cars movies, so his delivery of these new, far from child-friendly lines (including the accidental "back off, j**k-off!") make the sketch particularly hilarious.

SNL has plenty to live up to for season 47, as the last season came in hot. The season 46 premiere had the highest ratings that SNL had in four years. This made sense given that 2020 was an election year. The show has always thrived during political events, given it isn't afraid to go for the jugular with its satire and poke fun at both sides of the political spectrum. However, 2021 has brought in plenty of material, and there's certainly more than enough in 2020 for years of backlog. The Cars sketch shows that season 47 a lot of potential if the writers continue to push the creative envelope in future episodes.

Animal Crossing Player Recreates Zelda: Link's Awakening Witch's Hut

A player of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has recreated the witch's hut from another Nintendo classic, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Zelda: Link's Awakening originally released in 1993 for the Game Boy, but was given an overhaul and re-release in 2019. The newer version offers updated 3D visuals, though keeps the original's top-down perspective.

Animal Crossing lets players design their perfect island getaway however they may choose, offering a range of design tools and a vast catalog of decorative items for fans to make use of. As one of the biggest games on Nintendo Switch, many players have decided to recreate other Nintendo releases within ACNH. Nintendo has helped make this possible with official in-game items based on the Super Mario series, but crafty players have also recreated lots of other Nintendo games, making Zelda's Hyrule in Animal Crossing and more.

Related: Animal Crossing Player Turns Island Into BOTW's Kakariko Village

Redditor moni_acnh has faithfully recreated the witch's hut from Link's Awakening using Animal Crossing's various design options. The witch's hut, located in Koholint Island's Mysterious Forest, has been rebuilt in the game inside a player home, and uses a number of the release's spookiest items, including bug models, a fossil skull, and the Kettle Bathtub in place of a cauldron. The completed look is an incredibly accurate alternative take on the witch's hut, with the player's creativity praised on Reddit.

See the post on Reddit here, or follow the creator on Instagram for more design ideas.

Anyone looking to make a similar build to this in time for Animal Crossing's Halloween celebrations will need a number of the build's main items. The Magic Circle Rug is the perfect replacement for the Link's Awakening purple rug, while no Zelda recreation is complete without a few crafted Pots to smash. Natural craftables like Campfires are used to emulate the witch's burning sconces, and a Stone Table is used to house the skull fossil, spellbook, and plasma ball. The purple hue of the creation is helped by the use of purple Starry Garlands on the walls, with the full look being aided by plenty of plants.

The charming and spooky build comes just in time for the Halloween season, which is expected to be a big one in Animal Crossing. Along with the usual trick-or-treating and events centered around the NPC Jack, players can also expect new details on the next game update. Nintendo has confirmed an Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct is coming this October, giving lots for fans to looking forward to.

Sopranos Creator Was Barely Talking to James Gandolfini By Season 6

The Sopranos creator David Chase says that he was barely talking to the late James Gandolfini by the time they reached season 6; the final season of the show. Chase created The Sopranos in 1995 and it aired for six seasons from 1999 to 2007, winning a number of Emmy's throughout its run. The series was the first cable network show to win a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. It became a cultural phenomenon, instantly recognized by Gandolfini's cigar-chomping protagonist and opening theme song, "Woke Up This Morning" by Alabama 3.

Gandolfini passed away in 2013, leaving behind a long legacy of film work, but he was best known for his role as Tony Soprano. Chase worked again with Gandolfini for his film Not Fade Away in 2012, but the two did not have any other projects on the docket prior to his death. Chase has returned to the world of The Sopranos this month with the prequel film The Many Saints of Newark, which stars Gandolfini's son, Michael Gandolfini, as Tony.

Related: Many Saints of Newark: Every Scene Christopher Narrates (& Why)

While on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Chase discussed his relationship with Gandolfini on the show, saying that by the time they got to season 6, the two were barely talking. Gandolfini had a reputation for being difficult or combative on set and there are a multitude of stories from his The Sopranos era that continue to come to light. Now, Chase has added to that, saying that he got to a point at which he "hated" the actor. Here's his full quote:

“We were barely talking. I remember at the last party or screening or Emmy's, it was the last time we’d all be together, and we’re sitting at a table, [Gandolfini] went by with his food and my wife said ‘Jim, come sit over here,’ and he just ignored her and sat someplace else. He started that kind of stuff, for my wife I was infuriated. I suddenly said to myself, ‘I really hate that motherf***er, I hate that guy.’ That’s what it had come to.'"

Chase would later make up with Gandolfini when they worked together on his film Not Fade Away, saying that they "got along very well" while making it. The creator even asked Gandolfini at one point if he'd ever do a The Sopranos movie and the actor nonchalantly said, "Well, I'd have to read a script." Sadly, that would never come to be, as the actor passed away before it could ever happen. However, his legacy lives on with the prequel film, both in character and family, with his son carrying the torch of Tony Soprano. Chase said that he has "contemplated" continuing with the characters of The Many Saints of Newark, but says no one has approached him about continuing with it since they began shooting the film.

Gandolfini will forever be remembered as Tony Soprano, and the stories that pop up about him during the making of the show The Sopranos continue to be revealing, shocking and compelling. Ultimately, the actor seemed to embody the character in many ways. The world of The Sopranos feels ripe for exploration now that the tracks have been laid with The Many Saints of Newark and, given the interest and reception to the film, it would be a shame if the story didn't continue from there. Michael Gandolfini has said that he'd return to the role of Tony Soprano, but would only be interested in playing the character as it naturally led into the show. Hopefully, the folks at HBO see the potential to explore The Sopranos in another era, as Chase has lit the fuse on something that could reinvigorate the network just as it did with the original run of the show.

The King’s Man Star Thinks His Character Could Appear in Future Sequels

Daniel Brühl, who is finally set to appear in The King’s Man this December, has hinted his character may appear again in potential sequels. A prequel to the hit Kingsman films helmed by X-Men: First Class director Matthew VaughnThe King’s Man was originally slated to be released in November 2019. Since then, the film has experienced a several delays, first owing to release date reshuffling after Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, and then later due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, more than two years after its original release slot, the film is finally set to hit theaters on December 22.

Based on the comic-book series created by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service film was an unequivocal box office success, pulling in over $414 million worldwide against an original budget of $81 million. Meanwhile, both critics and audiences alike openly praised the film for its comedic take on the spy genre, a stark contrast to the far more serious tones adopted by contemporary spy films like the James Bond and Jason Bourne franchises. In 2018, one year after the release of the movie's sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Vaughn announced that a prequel starring Ralph Fiennes and Harris Dickinson would be set during the early 20th century and depict the formation of the Kingsman intelligence agency.

Related: Kingsman: The Golden Circle - Why Roxy's Death Was A Big Mistake

Brühl, who is best known for his role as Baron Helmut Zemo in the MCU’s Captain America: Civil War and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, is slated to play Erik Jan Hanussen, a stage clairvoyant who is rumored to have advised Adolf Hitler. Recently speaking with Variety, Brühl described his role in the prequel as “not big” but “pivotal,” and foresees the potential for him to return to the franchise again in the future. Check out his full comments below:

"I’ve had a lot of fun with Matthew and the cast. It was a bit of a strategic choice because it’s a pivotal part. It’s not big, but I saw the potential for it to reappear later on, hopefully. That’s the first thing you check: Will they kill me? When will they kill me? How am I going to die?!"

With another Kingsman sequel and spinoff project focusing on the US-based Statesman organization introduced in The Golden Circle already in the pipeline, there of course many opportunities for Brühl to return to the Kingsman universe. One thing that the filmmakers may need to overcome, however, is the hundred-year time gap between the events of The King’s Man and the other planned films in the franchise. Yet, with a tongue-in-cheek series which that has already managed to resurrect Colin Firth’s character, Harry Hart, with minimal explanation, there would sure to be plenty of ways for writers to bring Brühl’s clairvoyant into the 21st century.

Of course, if the prequel also seems to garner the same level of success as the previous two films, it may also be just as likely that Disney (as the new franchise owners) may simply seek to green-light another prequel set within the same 20th century period. Either way, audiences will be keen to see what Brühl has to offer the Kingsman franchise after already becoming a certified fan-favorite following his appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. After two years of eagerly awaiting The King’s Man’s theatrical release, the final countdown is now for fans to finally see it hit screens.

Animal Crossing Design Ideas For Players On A Bell Budget

There are a host of creative design possibilities available for players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but some can become very costly very quickly, especially given all the furniture items available in Nook's Cranny. Fortunately, there are also plenty of opportunities for those who might be on a Bell budget. Here are some design ideas for players looking for cheap ways to get creative in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

New Horizons arguably has more potential than just about any other game in the series when it comes to town customization. Right from the start of the game, players are allowed to choose the overall layout of their island, which can then be customized further on into the game as they create new rivers, inlets, and mountains across the face of the island. They can then collect design inspiration from other players thanks to the game's active online presence.

Related: Forget Brewster, Animal Crossing's Ideal Update Would Be New Jokes

Further possibilities may be opening up in the future, as earlier this year a leak was revealed that seems to hint towards a potential island expansion coming to New Horizons. This could allow for even more room for customization, but thus far nothing has been officially announced regarding the rumors. A wide range of new content will be revealed this October, however, according to September's Nintendo Direct. It remains to be seen what new and inexpensive design ideas will be added in the coming months.

Even finding new clothing options in Animal Crossing: New Horizons doesn't have to be an expensive venture. Players can unlock the ability to create custom fabrics to utilize both in their outfits and certain DIY designs through the Able Sisters' tailor shop. These designs can be uploaded and imported from other online players as well, which effectively creates a large library of nearly endless possibilities.

One way to use these custom designs is on signs and stands outside, creating unique buildings or shop facades without actually having to dish out Bells to customize an area. Animal Crossing player abie22 utilizes such a method to create an outdoor cafe, adding in custom pathways to provide the appearance of a cute plaza all without using many Bells or even taking up much space on the island.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons includes several gameplay mechanics that are a first for the series, among which are DIY recipes, craftable furniture items that make use of the island's natural resources such as shells, rocks, and wood. Players can collect these without spending any Bells, even traveling to other items with the use of Nook miles in case their home island runs out of supplies. There are dozens of recipes to collect and build, many of which can be further customized with unique colors and even custom fabrics to make for a more unique display.

Both indoor and outdoor furniture items are available to craft, from the popular ironwood kitchen set to outside hammocks and lounge chairs for the beach. It's also possible to trade most of the game's DIY recipes with friends and other Animal Crossing fans in New Horizons' online community, allowing for a more expansive collection without having to spend many - if any - Bells at all. New Horizons player awlames on Reddit utilizes the bamboo DIY recipes in particular to create a serene grove, all without breaking the Bell bank.

Island terraforming is another new feature introduced with the release of New Horizons, allowing players to create waterfalls, mountains, lakes, and more with just the use of their own two hands. Terraforming is unlocked once the early stages of the game have been completed and players have reached a 3-star island. Although more expansive options, including different paths, can be unlocked and purchased gradually, there's plenty to do without spending many Bells.

Reddit user syzygy14 shows off an impressive display of terraforming techniques, crafting multi-leveled waterfalls accented with DIY items such as giant mushrooms, log furniture, and signposts. It's an effective way to demonstrate that there are plenty of customization opportunities in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, even for players without many Bells to spend on large-scale projects.

Homer Simpson Backs Into Bushes Meme Recreated by Bart & Milhouse

The famous meme from The Simpsons that shows Homer Simpson disappearing into the bushes has been recreated by Bart and his friends. The animated sitcom has just begun airing its milestone season 33, becoming the longest primetime scripted television show in history. Since its debut in 1989, The Simpsons has become a pop culture phenomenon, pushing the boundaries of humor and cementing its status as an all-time classic series. The show's characters have all become widely known, far beyond the five Simpson family members themselves.

From its premiere, The Simpsons was well known for its running jokes, such as Bart's prank calls to Moe, Homer strangling Bart, and the couch and chalkboard gags during the opening credits. As with many popular and long-running comedies, the series has generated countless iconic moments throughout its time on air, and many fans and other shows have created parodies of those Simpsons classics. What's more, the show has also made its way into plenty of merchandise and is often used by fans on social media in the form of Simpsons GIFs. Now, The Simpsons itself has joined in on these many references.

Related: The Simpsons' Most Impressive Gag (Is One You Probably Missed)

In celebration of The Simpsons season 32 becoming available to stream on Disney+, the service took to their official Twitter account to post a GIF of Bart Simpson and his friends backing away into the bushes. The clip is a parody of the same moment made famous by Homer Simpson in the season 5 episode, "Homer Loves Flanders," which has since been blended into pop culture as a meme. The updated version of the GIF includes Bart, Millhouse, Nelson, Martin, and Ralph. Check it out below:

The original scene occurs when Homer is rejected by Ned Flanders, after his neighbor becomes annoyed by Homer's new-found and unexpected obsession with him. Fans have appropriated the image on social media as a funny reaction to awkward and embarrassing situations. While The Simpsons has always been a show that reflected current affairs, smaller, light-hearted and satirical moments like the "Homer in the bushes" meme are often what stick with loyal fans the most.

The series continues to pull in impressive ratings across all platforms, still raking in millions of viewers with each new episode. With the show now available on Disney+, a new generation is discovering The Simpsons, while others simply re-watch the show out of nostalgia. Even though many changes have been made to The Simpsons both in front of and behind the camera since it first aired, its classic moments are still beloved in fans' minds. And with The Simpsons officially renewed for season 34, there are plenty of opportunities for the show to continue creating unforgettable moments just like this GIF.

Bachelorette: Clare Crawley Says Dale Moss Helped Her Through Past Abuse

Bachelorette alum Clare Crawley has opened up about how Dale Moss helped her to deal with her child abuse before their recent split. Clare appeared on an emotion-laden new episode of Red Table Table Talk: The Estefans and revealed a Catholic priest sexually abused her in first grade. Clare detailed how the experience continues to affect her relationships. She explained she dated men who didn't value her because she never felt good enough.

During the Facebook Watch series, Clare said she hated the word "victim" for a long time because she never felt like it. Hence, she never shared her experience with anyone she went through and hid it from her friends because she didn't want them to see her as a victim. However, she changed that mindset after realizing she wasn't a victim but a survivor. After meeting Dale in ABC's dating series, Bachelorette, Clare's new mindset became strengthened.

While speaking to Red Table Talk: The Estefans hosts, Gloria Estefan, Emily Estefan, and Lili Estefan, Clare credited Dale for helping her through her childhood abuse. She said, "I went in, having true love for myself, loving myself wholly, and not only walked away with my self-love but I walked away with a man that loves me just as deeply." Clare and Dale got engaged after 12 days of meeting each other as she cut short her time on Bachelorette to move on with him. However, she has no regrets about doing so and said, "We got engaged after 12 days. I tell everybody if I would have waited and seen it through to the very end, it still would have been him."

Moss also appeared on the episode and spoke about how he helped Clare after she told him about her childhood abuse. He said the biggest thing for him after he found out was having a level of understanding. He explained, "And it's so important to feel comfortable that you can really open up and share your story, your family story, everything that brought you to this point." Dale said the experience helped him grow as a man and revealed Clare told him he did not need to fix every problem.

Gloria asked the couple if Clare's past abuse affected their intimacy. Clare said she felt instantly safe and connected with Dale. She explained that healing from childhood abuse had its ups and downs and affects one's life differently. When Dale was asked how he helped Clare go through her trauma, he said he always wanted her to feel safe, secure and protected. The 33-year-old said he never wanted her to feel pressured or think he was too aggressive. Clare also revealed it was Dale who encouraged her to share some of her past experiences publicly.

Since their surprise engagement, Clare and Dale's relationship has been filled with ups and downs. The lovebirds have called it quits and even gone out of the spotlight. The time away seemed to work magic for them as they reconciled and celebrated their first anniversary. Last month, rumors spread that Clare and Dale were married, but they recently broke up again when all thought they were going to last. While their relationship seems complicated, their revelations on The Red Table Talk: The Estefans prove they have nothing but love for each other. Bachelorette fans will be pleased to know the couple has each other's backs and will be there for one another. So, even after things didn't ultimately work out between them, they will still have some fond memories of themselves.

90 Day Fiancé: Rose Vega’s Biggest Achievements In 2021

Former 90 Day Fiancé star Rosemarie Vega is only in her mid-20s, and she has already achieved quite a few milestones this year. She has unquestionably become one of the biggest success stories of the franchise. Rose first gained popularity when she first featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4 with the San Diego native Big Ed. At first, many fans felt pity for Rose because she lived in a windowless one-bedroom house.

However, she became an inspiration for the fans after she dealt with Ed's disrespectful comments about her appearance. She got even more influential after she dumped him and stood up for herself. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans were delighted to see that Rose didn't settle for less. Rose is a single mother who was living with her family in a small home. She didn't seek any help from Ed and instead began making a name for herself.

The 25-year-old beauty Rose took every bit of advantage from her brief run on 90 Day Fiancé and took her fame to new heights. She grabbed opportunities like creating a YouTube channel and taking her subscriber count to over 700k. Other than this, she upped her social media game by continually delivering engaging content to her fans over Instagram, TikTok, and Cameo.

When it comes to Rose's achievements, she has done a lot more than just building her social media brand. Ed questioned Rose's beauty and general hygiene during the show, insinuating that she wasn't camera-ready. Well, joke's on Ed because Rose is now a model in her country, and she is working with popular photographers and makeup artists. In the last few months, she had a complete beauty transformation and went to become a model for several beauty brands. Recently, she did a modeling gig for a smartphone brand, and it is safe to say she nailed it perfectly. Rose is now making heads turn with her bold and confident personality.

Rose's second-biggest achievement is a little more personal. Most 90 Day Fiancé fans may remember that she didn't come from an affluent family or had a fancy house. But this year, she went from living at the back of her sister's store to building her own two-story house. The former 90 Day Fiancé star also bought a farm, which became her another achievement. In one of the YouTube videos, Rose gave fans a tour of the new 5-hectare land she purchased.

Rose's achievements aren't just limited to social media or modeling. She made sure her cash inflow stayed strong by opening a grocery store in her hometown. The start of this grocery store shows that Big Ed's ex-girlfriend is smart enough to invest in side-businesses. Rose has lived a portion of her life without luxuries and understands that multiple businesses will help her build a better future for herself and her 6-year-old son, Prince. 90 Day Fiancé viewers showered her with several congratulatory messages when she posted a photo with her son holding the grocery store's banner.

Batman isn’t Gotham’s Most Important Hero, and Fear State Proves It

Warning! Spoilers for Batman #113 and "Fear State" ahead!

Most DC Comics fans tend to think Batman is the most important hero in Gotham City and probably wouldn't even think of Oracle as a candidate. However, since Joker paralyzed her in Batman: The Killing Joke, Barbara Gordon has proven her worth as a new kind of hero. Although she has regained the use of her legs via an implant, Barbara has decided to return to her role as Oracle. Oracle does half of the work for several vigilantes at a time, all from the Gotham Clock Tower. She is a member of the Bat-Family, a founder of the Birds of Prey, and even helps the Justice League from time to time. Oracle has a photographic memory and genius-level intellect, but she most importantly proves that not all heroes wear capes.

During the events of James Tynion IV and Jorge Jimenez's Batman: Joker War, Oracle spread vital information to Gotham, ensuring safety throughout the whole city. Now, Batman: Fear State (also by Tynion IV, Jimenez, plus Riccardo Federici) has brought back Scarecrow, and he's not playing around. The city is in fear and believes Batman to be dead. Not only is Jonathan Crane back, but his plan also unfolded a brand new threat to Gotham known as "Anti-Oracle," who subtly proves why Oracle is the most important of Gotham's heroes.

Related: Batgirl Shows Why She's A Better Hero As 'Oracle'

Batman #113 has just shown how detrimental an "Anti-Oracle" can be, as this mysterious character spreads false information to the entire city. In the previous issue, the "Anti-Oracle" hijacked Barbara's signal and is broadcasting, claiming to be the true Oracle. Now, this issue begins with a spreading signal stating Batman is dead, that bodies are piling up in the streets, and that the citizens should make weapons to defend themselves. Some characters, like Renee Montoya and Batman, recognize that this voice is definitely not Barbara. However, these lies will potentially spread panic among the city and make the situation worse, highlighting the important service that Barbara provides for Gotham and its heroes. Barbara doesn't go down without a fight. Oracle has proven herself several times in the past, perhaps more so than her Batgirl persona.

In the past Oracle has rarely received any credit from the public when she saves lives. This is hard for her, especially since Barbara's childhood dream was to be a superhero. It's safe to say Oracle saves the lives of countless superheroes more times than anyone. For example, in Batman #609 by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee, Batman falls off a building and lands in Crime Alley.  Oracle sends the distress call to nearby heroes, saying: "The Blackbird is down." Huntress arrives within minutes, saving Batman's life. Joker shooting her spine wasn't enough to slow Oracle down, and she decides to continue fighting crime in both an innovative and helpful way.

At the climax of the recent Joker War, Barbara decides that her role as Oracle is more helpful to the heroes than her role as Batgirl. After all, Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain are already prepared to do anything a Batgirl can. Barbara displays a message throughout the city, revealing Joker's entire scheme. Oracle ultimately helps Batman take Joker out in the end, which proves just how useful she is. But more significantly, Oracle speaks to the citizens of Gotham and tells them what to do. This means that she is now a trusted figure in the eyes of the city.

Oracle does not only have the trust of everyone in Gotham; she is also a valued confidant for big-name DC superheroes like Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern. Thanks to Barbara's expertise in technology and secure networks, Oracle can also safely communicate confidential data to the Bat-Family. She refers to Batman as "Bruce" regularly since she knows the identities of practically every hero in Gotham City, maybe even every hero in the DC Universe. Although this knowledge means an "Anti-Oracle" could obtain sensitive information, it likely won't be long until the real Oracle regains control of her hacked network.
