HBO's Watchmen: First Set Photos Reveal Don Johnson & Hint at Story Details

<img src="https://https://ift.tt/2kPoGMJ" /><p>The first photos from the set of HBO's upcoming <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/watchmen/"><strong><em>Watchmen</em></strong></a> have imparted some small details regarding the story of the series. They have also revealed something of the role to be played by Don Johnson, whose casting had already been <a href="https://ift.tt/2szj5xa by earlier reports</a>.</p><p>The original 1986 <em>Watchmen</em> mini-series redefined comic books as an art-form, pushing the idea that illustrated literature could be used to tell sophisticated stories for adults, even as it deconstructed the tropes of the superhero genre. Controversial for its use of adult themes even today, <em>Watchmen</em> has remained in print since its 12 issues were first collected in a single trade-paperback volume. It was also named one of the 100 greatest novels written in the English language by Time Magazine.
