New photos from Iron Fist season 2 fully reveal Alice Eve's Typhoid Mary. The first season of Iron Fist may have disappointed many, but the character has continued to gain favor despite that. Finn Jones' appearances in The Defenders and season 2 of Luke Cage showed that corrections are being made. Marvel and Netflix look to continue that in season 2 of his solo series under the guidance of new showrunner Raven Metzner. They're diving deeper into the mythos and martial arts, as well as bringing in some more Marvel characters that fans of the comics will recognize.
One of the only major casting additions Iron Fist got for season 2 was Eve. Her role was kept a mystery throughout production, and for good reason. It was only at San Diego Comic-Con back in July where where it was revealed that she would be playing Typhoid Mary.

The official Iron Fist Instagram account finally revealed full looks at Typhoid Mary today, teasing the multiple personalities that lie within. One image features Eve in nice, business-like attire, smiling at whoever is off-frame. The other image is almost the complete opposite, with Eve in a black hoodie, sword drawn, and ready for action. As the caption reads (and Danny Rand is sure to find out), "You never really know someone until you see both sides."
Eve's portrayal of Typhoid Mary has only been barely glimpsed so far. She can briefly be seen in the newest trailer fighting Danny Rand. There was also a picture of her with Davos (Sacha Dhawan), and the meeting doesn't look to be going the way she wanted. Now with these new photos though, there's finally a chance to show the different version of Mary Walker (her real name), teasing the complexity of the character that Eve gets the chance to bring to life.
Walker traditionally has three personalities in Marvel comics. There's Mary, the nicest and most normal of the bunch; Typhoid Mary, a more ambitious and lustful version of herself; and Bloody Mary, the deadliest of the personalities. With the caption only mentioning "both sides" of a person, it will be fascinating to see how Iron Fist handles the three personalities. The first image is surely the regular Mary, but the second photo could be either Typhoid or Bloody. The caption could even allude to the possibility that only two of the personalities will be heavily featured, maybe even making the revelation of a third version a later addition. Thankfully, fans don't have to wait too much longer to see exactly how she is handled.
