The latest Arrowverse crossover dates confirm The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl's premiere dates. Connected universes are the goal of almost all Hollywood studios, but The CW has found a way to do it on the small screen too. The network has brought together DC characters from all across time and space to form the Arrowverse, and over the last two years, they've built in an epic crossover event. Instead of just brief cameos here and there, all of the shows tell one mega story across every series.
This year's crossover will be a bit different for a number of reasons. The first is that Legends of Tomorrow is sitting out the event this time around. Even though that knocks out nearly a dozen characters from being included, The CW is making up for it by debuting Ruby Rose's Batwoman. Now fans know exactly when she will debut.

The CW announced today that this year's crossover will begin on Sunday, December 9 at 8 pm with The Flash. It will then continue on Monday, December 10 with Arrow, and conclude with Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11. The three night event's release schedule does move The Flash to Supergirl's time slot and vise versa, as Supergirl will regularly air on Sunday nights and The Flash on Tuesday nights. They also released the following promo image:

Now that fans know when exactly these episodes will be dropping, it finally gives some concrete information on the crossover. Why The Flash and Supergirl swapped slots remains to be seen, but it does give the latter show the big finale, which is a nice change. Many felt that Supergirl got the short end of the stick in prior crossovers, so The CW may be looking to not have that criticism remain. It could also signal that Melissa Benoist's Supergirl plays an even larger role in the crossover to begin with, which is why her show gets to tell the conclusion.
As of right now, there's hardly any information on what the crossover will entail. Stephen Amell teased a smaller, more character focused story this year after going so big the year before. With Batwoman and Gotham City in the mix, what threat arises that brings them all together remains a mystery. Don't expect it to be another alien takeover, but a threat tied to the world of Batman could be in play. Those details will hopefully come soon, as all three series gear up for production on the crossover in the coming months.
