A potential sequel for Spider-Man PS4 will likely include Venom and the Symbiote suit. Peter Parker is once again the star of the latest Spider-Man video game, and it has been a huge hit. The game received plenty of rave reviews and fans are digging deep into it to go through the story, complete every side-mission, and collect every backpack. Doing all of these various tasks allows for players to unlock the dozens of suits that Peter can wear.
Spider-Man PS4 features some major suits from Spider-Man lore, and even some that shout out the big screen versions. However, there is one suit that Spidey fans have found to be completely absent from the game. Spider-Man's famous black suit, also known as his Symbiote suit, is not featured, but that may just be due to Insomniac's larger plans.

Kinda Funny Games spoke to Bryan Intihar, the Creative Director at Insomniac Games, as part of a deep, spoiler-filled dive about the game. During the discussion, Intihar was asked about not including the symbiote suit in Spider-Man PS4. The reason being, he wants to do the story behind the suit justice - and makes it sound like it will be part of a potential sequel game.
"I think something like that suit (symbiote suit) deserves its day in the spotlight. I think just making it an unlockable suit wouldn't be doing it justice. It's one of the best stories for Spider-Man. I think it's a complex story. And I think it's a story that needs to be told, and it needs to be told the way Insomniac would tell it."

Spider-Man's black Symbiote suit debuted in the 1984 Marvel Comics event "Secret Wars." After damaging his suit, Peter finds the black symbiote substance that transformed itself into the black suit. However, the symbiote only wanted to bond further with Peter as its host. It is only once Peter managed to rid himself of the symbiote that it would then find Eddie Brock, and start the origin of Venom.
It isn't yet clear when exactly Venom and the Symbiote suit will come to Spider-Man PS4's universe, but Intihar certainly makes it sound like it is on the way. A sequel has yet to be announced by Sony, Marvel, and Insomniac, but it's largely viewed as an inevitable announcement at this point. Intihar and his team laid seeds for future installments in this first installment, so, hopefully, they get the chance to pay off those teases in the future. If they do, it sure sounds like Venom and the black Symbiote suit will be part of a Spider-Man PS4 sequel.
