Who is the real flip-flopper on The Real Housewives of Potomac: Candiace Dillard Basset or Monique Samuels? Both women are having a bit of trouble staying on their sides of the fence, and it is all about to come to a head.
The main drama on this season of RHOP so far has revolved around a fight between Monique and Candiace. These past few episodes have shown the two women play tit for tat with one another. Recently, Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, and Monique tried to defuse a heightened situation that led to a huge falling out regarding how the women should act on the show. Gizelle has been at the root of most of the pot- stirring, which has never helped to deescalate an issue. The all-new August 16 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac featured Candiace doing what she does best: running away from an uncomfortable situation. Viewers also caught a glimpse of Monique acting a bit two-faced when the cameras stopped rolling. Luckily, the women were still mic’d up.
Towards the end of the hour-long episode, Ashley had a sip-and-see for her new baby boy. Fans watched as Wendy was given complete shade by Karen, who turned her back on the new girl in the buffet line. The other women sat politely and quickly fell silent once Candiace entered the apartment. Ashley tried being honest and direct by telling the newlywed that most of the women felt she was a “flip-flopper.” Immediately the housewife felt attacked.
The root of the women's beliefs stems from the fact that Candiace befriended Charisse Jordan very quickly after her falling out with Monique. To many viewers, it looked sketchy. Monique, on the other hand, passive-aggressively made snide comments, which obviously all could hear. Even Wendy questioned if Monique was a real friend to Candiace. Many feel Candiace is the true flip-flopper in the situation since she speaks out of both sides of her mouth.
Even though their current feud is low-key, fans know how to drill goes. The cameras have already caught a defensive blowout between these women that involved the police. Bravo fans got a sneak peek of how their friendship went down the tube, but viewers can tune in each Sunday to see how the women are getting along now.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 9 pm EST on Bravo.
