Rumor: Ben Affleck Wants to Keep Playing Batman in the DCEU

<img src="https://https://ift.tt/2rIPQIV" /><p>Ben Affleck's involvement in <a href="https://ift.tt/2KCe7ai Batman</em></strong></a> solo movie remains uncertain, but a new rumor suggests that the actor wants to continue appearing in the DC Extended Universe, which would ease any concerns that DCEU fans currently have about the situation. Affleck made his debut appearance as the Caped Crusader in Zack Snyder's <a href="https://ift.tt/2IityYR V Superman: Dawn of Justice</em></a> in 2016, and then reprised his role in David Ayer's <em>Suicide Squad</em> later that year and again in <a href="https://ift.tt/2rEUp78 League</em></a> last fall, but his future remains in doubt.</p><p>Affleck was originally supposed to write, direct, and star in <em>The Batman</em> solo movie, but he ended up stepping down from the director's chair in early 2017. While it was believed, at the time, that Affleck would still play Bruce Wayne aka Batman in the DCEU movie, several reports surfaced prior to <em>Justice League</em>'s release suggesting that Affleck wanted to leave the shared universe altogether. That was later confirmed when the actor himself stated that he was looking for a way <a href="https://ift.tt/2JrMAMa "segue" out of the Batman role</a>.
