Olivia Jade Giannulli is revealing the hardest part about being on Dancing with the Stars. Olivia is the daughter of Full House actress Lori Loughlin and designer Mossimo Giannulli, who recently served jail time for their part in the college admissions scandal. This garnered Olivia a lot of negative attention, but she's hoping fans will see her true personality on DWTS, outside of what her parents did. The 21-year-old hopes that pushing herself out of her comfort zone will lead to people giving her another chance.
Olivia also spoke about how supportive her mother has been during this new journey. According to Olivia, Lori wants to make sure she stays healthy while going to rehearsal every week. Her older sister, Bella Giannulli, has also shown her support to Olivia and wants to attend every live show if possible. It's rumored that Olivia will be dancing with DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy, although partners will be officially announced during the premiere. Maybe Bella and the rest of the DWTS fanbase will be seeing the two on the dance floor together soon. Whoever Olivia's partner is, at least she has Lori's support during the show.
While Olivia wouldn't "consider [herself] a dancer," she's admitting to the work being a lot tougher than she initially thought it would be. "The pros make it look so effortless and easy, but once you get in there and they're really teaching you the steps, it's way harder than I ever thought. But what I will say is the pros do such a good job," Olivia told People. She also said the hardest part of dancing is the panic that comes along with not being able to nail a move, but the coaches are a great help at getting her through it.
Olivia also spoke to People about the scandal she and her family went through. While she said she's "not proud of the past," she also wants "to keep evolving as a person." Hopefully, her turn on DWTS will showcase a different side of her personality for those who only know her from the scandal. Even though she was a part of a bad situation, she believes sometimes people have to go through tough things and make mistakes to grow. "Obviously I wish I could go back in time and kind of do a lot of stuff, but I think it's kind of important to me now to just keep learning and see where the world takes me," Olivia said.
While Olivia probably isn't the person fans of Dancing with the Stars are most excited to see, a redemption arc could be interesting for fans to watch. It seems like she wants to show how much she's changed and evolved since the college admissions scandal, and this will be one of the first times people get to see what she's like now. Whether or not Olivia takes home the DWTS Mirrorball Trophy, season 30 is sure to be a fascinating watch.
