Micrashell Is The Virus-Proof Suit Designed For Nightlife Partying

Coronavirus is resulting in many changes to the way society works, and it is likely that will continue long after the pandemic is over. Which is why products like the futuristic Microshell party suit is now a plausible reality.

The greatest change to the way people live right now is social distancing. While the lockdown orders that are in place in different countries naturally lead to social distancing, as cities and countries gradually start to reopen again, the emphasis will be on the continuation of social distancing guidelines. Although feasible in restaurants that opt to reduce covers and seat people further apart, nightlife and live events are less easy to regulate. That is, unless you are wearing a Micrashell party suit.

From Production Club, the new suit looks to be the answer no one wants to a question that needs to be asked. It is touted as a virus-proof suit, that in theory, allows the wearer to attend even the busiest of venues without fear of breaching social distancing guidelines. In fact, beyond its expected features - such as an air filtration system with N95 filter - it even comes with a number of improvements to ensure a strangely, close-to-reality experience, including personal speakers and LED lights, as well as a canister-based “supply system.” The latter of which simply means the wearer can hook up drinks (or their vape) and consume them without removing the suit. Most of the suit’s “features'' are controlled by a smartphone app, with the phone also getting its own pouch with data and power support.

Although the suit might seem like overkill for any other time, 2020 is not like most times, and solutions like this do need to be considered if some sense of normality is to resume. What is clear, is that while some places of business will reopen with changes designed to limit the spread of the virus, others will have to remain closed unless a viable close contact solution is found. That’s what makes this particular suit an actual, and viable solution, in spite of how over-the-top it appears on first glance.

While clubs and venues could probably reopen sooner if they were to adopt the same changes as restaurants, they are totally different markets. These venues thrive on, and often only survive due to the atmosphere created by the attendees, and it stands to reason that a reduced capacity venue won't offer that same experience. Even with the obvious need for more personal protection at these events, the question then becomes what is the likelihood of people actually wearing such suits? With the answer probably being "no" from most people at first, unless they are willing to wear something similar, it remains to be seen if large public events or late-night entertainment venues can return to anything near what they were, before a vaccine is found. Again, although seeming extreme, a suit like this is a solution and for those wondering, the Micrashell party suit adopts a “top only” design. This makes it possible for wearers to easily go to the toilet and/or engage in other activities, while still ensuring they are not “exposed to respiratory risks” associated with coronavirus.
