Bloodborne's Best Chalice Dungeon For Fastest XP Farming Discovered

It has been almost six years since Bloodborne launched for the PlayStation 4 and dedicated players are still finding new content, most of it in the game's chalice dungeons. One discovery made in August 2020 allows players to farm hundreds of thousands of blood echoes, the game's currency, in under a minute.

Bloodborne's chalice dungeons are an optional part of the game and are divided into two categories: standard and procedurally generated. Both types can be played offline, but online gamers with an active PlayStation Plus account can experience procedurally generated dungeons from other players' games as well. These specific creations are called shared chalice dungeons and some of them have been manipulated via save editing into what the community calls false-depth dungeons. Hunters who dare enter a false-depth dungeon will be met by late-game enemies, usually much earlier than if played the traditional way, but those who triumph will reap late game rewards.

YouTuber Xtrin shared a video showing off a uniquely easy false-depth dungeon that has developed a rather suggestive name in the Bloodborne community. The glyph code required to enter it is "cummmfpk" (the code alone hints at the dungeon's unfortunate name among players) and, according to Xtrin, only requires the chalice from the Blood-Starved Beast boss fight. Once players arrive, they can be treated to 83,000 blood echoes every 20 seconds without having to kill a single enemy. All a good hunter has to do is take a few steps outside of the chamber of the seal, wait for an offscreen enemy to die via environmental hazard, and then use a bold hunters mark to do it all over again.

For something like Bloodborne, this is impressively stress-free, but it is not the only one dedicated fans have found of late. In recent years, data miners have poured through the game's files and found some unused bosses and enemies that modders have then managed to resurrect. These provide new challenges for veteran players as well as give insight into some of the ideas FromSoftware left on the cutting room floor.

At the time of Bloodborne's release, many fans thought that the chalice dungeons should have been one of those scrapped ideas, especially the procedurally generated ones. They seemed like lazy content that was only added to extend the game's length. Over time, however, the chalice dungeons have proven their legitimacy by actually giving some form of new content long after release. It turns out that that there is still plenty left to discover in those terrifying labyrinths beneath Yharnam.
