The Stranger: Every Main Character On The Netflix Miniseries, Ranked By Their Worst Deeds

Based on the fantastic Harlan Coben book of the same title, this British TV show has hit the entertainment industry by storm. The Netflix miniseries is eight episodes of pure drama and thrill along with some surprisingly horrible characters!

The show itself is all about revealing normal people's darkest secrets and worst fears, and it explores just how these characters would react when being told their nightmares are coming true. Many of them react in catastrophic ways, causing this drama to be both shocking and gripping throughout. Major Spoilers To Follow!

10 Corinne Price: Faked Her Pregnancy

Uncovered by The Stranger in the first episode, Corinne Price faked her pregnancy to convince her husband to stay with her. Although when brought up to her, she never denies it and insists "there's more to this" than both the audience and Adam realize. It's omething that is only really brought up at the end of the show, although her reasoning is only lightly touched upon.

What makes this the worst deed is that, not only did she fake her pregnancy, but she continued with the lie until the time came to pretend she had a miscarriage, ultimately breaking her husband's heart.

9 Adam Price: Murder

Throughout the show, it is believed that the worst thing Adam has done was cheat on his wife with a coworker, which then prompted Corinne to fake her pregnancy to convince him to stay with her. However, this is blown out of the water in the last episode when he finds out the truth behind Corinne's disappearance. She was murdered by his trusted friend, Doug Tripp. In a fit of bereavement and anger, he shoots his friend, killing him in the middle of the woods where Corinne is buried.

8 Ed Price: Adultery

Although not as bad as his son, Ed is revealed to have been a serial cheat his whole life, even going as far as leaving his wife and his son, Adam, after finding out that his wife is sick. He leaves her, ultimately forcing Adam to care for her and watch her die alone. Similar to Corinne, this secret is uncovered to the audience by The Stranger, and it is revealed that his cheating past is no secret to anyone who knows him.

His adultery is not the only bad thing he has done in his life, as he's also never seen nor spoken to his grandkids on Adam's side, prioritizing his other grandchildren over them.

7 Johanna Griffin: Hiding A Murder

Johanna is inherently a good character. So, when she hears the gunshots coming from Adam's gun, many think she is going to bring him into the station and arrest him. However, she begins wiping the gun of fingerprints and sets up Patrick Katz for Doug Tripp's murder.

Although it is a bad act, it is completely understandable, and many viewers have no problem in allowing it to happen. After hiding the murder, she allows Adam to look after his two kids while also framing a murderer that is already going to be convicted.

6 Doug Tripp: Murder

This reveal is most certainly a shock. In the last episode, Adam's beloved and trusted friend reveals that he killed Corinne. Although it is shocking, what makes this reveal more horrific is the reasoning behind this murder. He kills her to essentially keep his luxurious lifestyle. He stole some money from the football club and was found out by Corinne. So, when she said he needed to pay it back now, he lashed out, killing her in her own garage.

To make it worse, as Adam is standing over his wife's uncovered body, Doug decides to try to convince Adam to cover the murder up, explaining that he will frame Adam if he refuses.

5 Mike Tripp: Beheaded An Alpaca

The first crime of the show, and potentially the push that started this snowball of drama, Mike Tripp beheads an Alpaca during a party. Although it is revealed that he was drugged and incredibly drunk, it doesn't excuse the fact that he violently beheaded an innocent creature.

This act is shocking and unexpected, but it is hard to fully blame him after finding out that his joint was spiked with a horrendous drug that forced him to lose all control of his actions. After hiding it with friends, Daisy and Thomas, they end up uncovering a whirlwind of problems and reveal just why he did what he did.

4 Daisy Hoy: Spiked Mikes Joint

Drugging someone is a horrible and unspeakable thing to do in any situation. However, Daisy spiked Mike Tripp with a drug called PCP, a potentially lethal and extremely unpredictable substance that is incredibly dangerous to take, especially if you don't know you are taking it.

To make it worse, she did it for revenge; she drugged Mike for sending inappropriate photos of Daisy's 14-year-old sister. When her suspicions proved false, it only made her actions worse and more malicious—especially when it is shown to be affecting Mike long after the party ends.

3 Martin Killane: Murder

This character seems to be good throughout this show, simply fighting to keep the beloved home that he brought his child up in and filled with so many memories. After his legal battle fails and his house begins being demolished, a body falls out of the wall.

When it is explained, Adam finds out that Martin's wife was cheating on him and tried to leave him with his only child. Terrified of losing his child, he lashes out and ends up accidentally killing her. However, instead of turning himself in, he buries her in the wall of his home, bringing up his child with the body of their mother in the walls.

2 The Stranger: Blackmail

This woman started it all, every heartbreak, murder, and betrayal was started by her. Her actions in itself are her worst deeds, everything she does is to uncover the truth for the better but only uncovers pain and death.

After finding out about Heidi Doyle's daughter being on a Sugar Baby website, she blackmails Heidi for £10,000, threatening to post all her daughter's content to the world, meaning any search when she tries to find a job will come up with this website. This has a ripple effect and resulted in Heidi's murder.

1 Patrick Katz: Murder

This man is by far the most malicious character in the show. If he had his way, he would have been responsible for over six murders. Luckily, he is ultimately only responsible for one, but that doesn't make any of his actions any better.

He kills Heidi after the man he is working for finds out that a Sugar Baby he has relations with has been threatened and may have her account go public. This would mean that his illegal activities would be revealed and his life would be ruined. Katz, using his status as a policeman, attempts to frame Corinne for the murder, initiating a spiral of murder and violence. As the show develops, he ends up shooting Ingrid Prisby just to get someone to talk and attempts to kill Adam for trying to stop him, accidentally shooting The Stranger, who jumps in front of Adam. This corrupt policeman was the worst of the worst.
