10 Guest Stars We Want To See Return On Curb Your Enthusiasm

Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm has been on the air since 2000. The on-site comedy returned to HBO for Season 10 in January of 2020 and was–as many expected–a tremendous success. Season 11 has been officially confirmed by HBO, according to Variety, but it is still unclear whether fans will see it released next year or later. By looking at the staggered releases of the first ten seasons, it is entirely possible that fans could wait years before seeing Season 11.

There has been a formidable lineup of guest stars featured on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Throughout the first ten seasons, David invited celebs who were massively famous, hysterically funny, or both. Here are ten guest stars we hope will return to Curb Your Enthusiasm.

10 George Lopez

George Lopez had a relatively brief appearance on Curb Your Enthusiasm in "The Ski Lift" episode from Season 5. Lopez, who famously had a kidney donated to him by his wife, meets Larry in the hospital as he contemplates giving Richard Lewis a kidney. The exchange between the two veteran comedians is a fun little treat.

People don't see much of George Lopez on television anymore. He's done a few stand-up comedy specials since his sitcom days, as well as guest-starred on several shows, but that's about it. It would be nice to see Lopez return to Curb Your Enthusiasm for Season 11, but it is very unlikely.

9 Meg Ryan

In "The Reunion" from Season 7, Larry tries to win back Cheryl by getting her hired to play George Costanza's ex-wife in a Seinfeld anniversary reboot. The only problem is, Jerry Seinfeld has found another actress for the role, Meg Ryan. Her appearance in the show is relatively brief, but she has to be one of the most famous guest stars to ever be on the show.

From Sleepless in Seatle to the highly-quotable Top Gun, Ryan has some pretty memorable work in her catalog. Fans would be thrilled if David were able to reintegrate Ryan into the show while giving her a more expanded role.

8 Stephen Colbert

Stephen Colbert played an irritable tourist back in Season 4, who asks Larry to take a picture of him and his wife. What starts off as a simple gesture, turns into Colbert hilariously lashing out at both David and his wife. The ordeal concludes with Colbert wishing "failure" on Larry, as he is performing in Mel Brooks' play that night, and Colbert's comment sinks deep into the psyche of Larry.

Colbert has found great success as a talk show host and has had David and other cast members from Curb Your Enthusiasm on his show. Whether he returns as the tourist again or as himself, fans would like to see Colbert return to the show.

7 Rob Corddry

Famous for his roles in Hot Tub Time Machine and Ballers, Rob Corddry is undeniably funny and brings laughs to most anything he touches. Prior to the success of the two titles above, Corddry guest-starred on Curb Your Enthusiasm for Season 5 all the way back in 2005. He played a sex offender who has just moved into Larry's neighborhood.

Corddry's character befriends Larry as a result of their mutual interest in golf. After a fun afternoon together, Larry invites the sex offender to Seder. The resulting gathering is a laugh-worthy fiasco. David indeed stretched the line of political correctness in this one. It would be wild to see Corddry's character revisit in Season 11.

6 Nick Kroll

Nick Kroll played a host in Season 10, who would allegedly, according to Larry, split guests into the 'attractive' section and the 'ugly' section. Kroll's performance in Episode 97 of the series is funny but is still a little too brief for what fans should expect. Kroll and David's interactions are somewhat concealed behind false politeness throughout the episode, and tension never really brought to the forefront.

Kroll should get a second shot at Curb Your Enthusiasm and play a character that has a larger role in the show. A full-out verbal standoff between David and Kroll would make for fantastic TV.

5 Sean Penn

Penn's guest appearance in "The Spite Store" is one of the most memorable moments in Season 10. Penn is depicted as himself, owning a bird shop to get back at another bird shop located next store, because they wrongfully sold Sean a mute bird. Jonah Hill is also included in this 100th episode of the series, opening up a competing deli because he found a hair in his sandwich at his old deli.

Penn's wacky persona in Season 10 is drop-dead hilarious with his ruggedness mixed with bird worship. David could do far worse than inviting Penn back and giving him his own episode even.

4 Elizabeth Banks

Elizabeth Banks entered the world of Larry as his love interest in "A Disturbance in the Kitchen" from Season 9. Banks is a multitalented actress who can kill it in comedy as well as perform well in drama and horror roles. In Curb Your Enthusiasm, she plays herself and is bubbly, fun, and gorgeous as ever. She is eventually forced to tell a hysterically bad cover story to a police officer, played by Damon Wayans Jr.

Salman Rushdie is also weaved into this episode, and his historical significance and esteem as a writer are indicative of the wide-reaching powers of Larry David; he can get anyone on Curb Your Enthusiasm. We wish Banks would've just gotten hitched up with Larry on the show, but hopefully, she can return at some point.

3 Bob Odenkirk

Playing Porno Gil in Season 1, Bob Odenkirk was one of the first guest stars who ever appeared on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Before his superb execution of "Saul" in the world of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Odenkirk played a retired pornstar who invites Larry and Cheryl to what they come to find is a dinner party.

Gil's stories upset Cheryl, and tension at the party erupts when Larry upsets Porno Gil's wife after spilling wine. After a brief seating, Larry and Cheryl are forced to leave, but on their way out, they realize they have forgotten Larry's watch, and Larry has to battle through cringeworthy awkwardness to retrieve it. Porno Gil is a signature character in Curb Your Enthusiasm and should be redeemed.

2 Sacha Baron Cohen

Sacha Baron Cohen had such a brief and forgettable appearance as Larry's guide to heaven in the Season 5 finale. Cohen is accompanied by Dustin Hoffman as they wear bright white robes and beards and lead Larry to his resting place. However, as you can guess, Larry does not end up dying in Season 5.

We wouldn't want the Borat actor to return to Curb in the same role, even though it was pretty silly, but instead, give him his own episode as Larry's adversary of some kind. Cohen's improvisation and impersonation abilities as a comedian would be a goldmine for Season 11.

1 Ben Stiller

Ben Stiller had a rather extensive run on Curb Your Enthusiasm, as he appeared in three episodes back in Season 4. Larry and Ben experience highs and lows as they prepare to co-star in an upcoming musical. Stiller plays himself and the chemistry he and David share during the three show stint make for boisterous arguments and lethal wisecracks.

Stiller should return to the show and reconcile things with Larry after their fallout (in the show), but then again, that wouldn't be a very Larry David thing to do. Regardless, fans surely want to see these two together on screen again.
