Hearts Of Wulin, another "Powered By The Apocalypse" RPG published by The Gauntlet tabletop gaming website, is a narrative RPG system for re-creating the gravity-defying martial arts battles, forbidden romances, and quandaries of loyalty iconic to the Chinese Wuxia genre of literature. Unlike the Greek and Japanese-influenced elements of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the character attributes on the Playbooks for Hearts Of Wulin are based on the Chinese elements of Earth, Wood, Fire, Water, and Metal. Mechanical features called "Entanglements" simulate the tempestuous relationships between sworn friends, enemies, and lovers in Wuxia fiction.
