6 The Princess Diaries 2
Yes, this is just the sequel to the last movie, but The Princess Diaries 2 gives off a very different vibe than its predecessor. Set in Genovia years later, the now-adult Princess Mia is poised to take over the charming, pan-European country of Genovia, but she runs into a few snags along the way.
A fantasy movie about a clumsy, relatable princess caught between the man she is supposed to marry and the one she wants to be with and duty to her country and herself is a fun mixture of girl power and steamy romance that is pure, unadulterated, classic girls' night material. You need look no further than the slumber party scene right in the middle of the movie to know what kind of night will result.
5 Legally Blonde
If you're feeling the girl power and don't need romance to feature prominently in the movie you put on, Legally Blonde is a no-brainer. Watching an underestimated young woman pull herself out of a bad breakup and surpass everybody's expectations of her? Yes, please.
Elle Woods is exactly the hero a girl needs for the post-breakup blues, too, so if one of your friends is going through some stuff right now, this movie is double perfect.
4 Mean Girls
This is the perfect movie for if you're missing high school, but not so much the romance part of it. Mean Girls is a movie about high school politics - romance is just a subplot.

3 Enchanted
If you and your crew are the type who dream of a girls' trip to Disney World and can appreciate a good singalong, Enchanted with Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, and James Marsden is a no-brainer. It's like watching one of those classic Disney Princess movies, but a little more grown-up. It leans into all the Disney stereotypes, all the while poking fun at itself for doing so.

2 The Notebook
If you and your girls need a good, cathartic cry, look no further than The Notebook. The whole movie itself is like an extended girls' night on a beach, so if you and your ladies are looking for a night of pure fun, singing, and dancing along to your screen, give Mamma Mia a try.
