Kim Zolciak-Biermann revealed to The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans that she still has some major health issues she has been dealing with since her last stroke. Kim may be best known for wearing her famous wig while fighting Shereé Whitfield by fans on the popular franchise. The mother of six had a good run with her spin-off, Don't Be Tardy, but now she is once again concentrating on her health.
Kim first became a Bravolebrity after joining The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 1 alongside NeNe Leakes, Shereé, Lisa Wu, and DeShawn Snow. She was made for reality TV as many found her to be a bit obnoxious, but she was always able to stand up for herself when she went up against NeNe. After The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 5 ended, Kim decided to leave the show, but she did return as a "friend of" for season 10. After leaving the show, Kim did well for herself, especially after marrying footballer Kroy Biermann.
Kim's first major health issue occurred back in 2015 after a flight back from Los Angeles, where she was filming Dancing With the Stars. On her flight, she developed a blood clot which caused her to have a stroke upon returning home. At the time, she shared that she had knelt down to hug her son, KJ, and lost feeling in her left arm. In 2015, Kim had surgery to repair a hole that the doctor found in her heart. The blonde shared a picture of her X-ray, which showed the life-saving device that was implanted. Check out the post below:
Six years after her stroke, Kim is happy and healthy, but she is still suffering from some side effects. She recently shared a post marking her sixth anniversary, saying she would always remember the day. She shared she had a horrific headache at the time and felt off within her body. Kim also shared that she often still struggles with memory loss saying she sometimes can't find the right word and loses her train of thought.
Thankfully, Kim caught the stroke before it was too late to reverse the effects. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum often posts medical information and warning signs to look out for in hopes of helping others. Recently, Kim announced that Don't Be Tardy wasn't coming back for another season but revealed she had high hopes of working with Bravo in the future. For now, Kim is taking time to hang out with her family, and the "Littles" get ready for back to school.
