The Loudest Voice in the Room First Look Reveals Russell Crowe As Roger Ailes

The Loudest Voice in the Room First Look Reveals Russell Crowe As Roger Ailes

The Loudest Voice in the Room first look reveals Russell Crowe as Roger Ailes

Following the Showtime TCA panel, Blumhouse shared a first look photo of Russell Crowe as Roger Ailes in the upcoming limited series The Loudest Voice in the Room. Check out the full photo below of Crowe’s mind-blowing transformation!

Based on extensive reporting by Gabriel Sherman for his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room, the series stars Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe (GladiatorA Beautiful Mind) in the title role and Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts as Gretchen Carlson. Sienna Miller (Layer Cake) will play former NBC news producer Elizabeth “Beth” Ailes. Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy) will portray Brian Lewis, with Simon McBurney (The Theory of Everything) as Rupert Murdoch, and Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders) as Laurie Luhn.

In today’s politically charged media landscape, no figure looms larger, even after his passing, than Roger Ailes, molding Fox News into a force that irrevocably changed the conversation about the highest levels of government. To understand the events that led to the rise of Donald Trump, one must understand Ailes. The upcoming limited series takes on that challenge, focusing primarily on the past decade in which Ailes arguably became the Republican Party’s de facto leader, while also touching on defining events in Ailes’ life, including an initial meeting with Richard Nixon on the set of The Mike Douglas Show that gave birth to Ailes’ political career and including the sexual harassment accusations and settlements that brought his Fox News reign to an end.

Told through multiple points of view, the limited series aims to shed light on the psychology that drives the political process from the top down. Sherman co-wrote the initial episode of the limited series with Oscar winner Tom McCarthy (Spotlight). For the primary source material, The Loudest Voice in the Room, Sherman interviewed more than 600 people.

Crowe also serves as an executive producer on the series. Emmy nominee Kari Skogland (The Handmaid’s Tale) will direct the first two episodes.

The project is a co-production from Showtime and independent studio Blumhouse Television (Sharp ObjectsThe Normal Heart). In addition to Crowe, McCarthy will executive produce with Emmy winner Jason Blum and Alex Metcalf, as well as Marci Wiseman and Jeremy Gold for Blumhouse Television and Liza Chasin (Darkest Hour) of 3dot Productions.

The 10-episode limited series, coming from The Good Fight creators Robert and Michelle King and showrunner Peter Moffat (The Night Of), was originally ordered by the network in October 2017 and is set to explore the various levels of New Orleans society. Cranston is set to play a respected judge who engages in a game of lies, deceit and impossible choices following his son’s involvement in a hit-and-run.

“Peter, Michelle and Robert have crafted an original thriller with gut-wrenching suspense, raw emotion and moral complexity,” Showtime entertainment president Gary Levine said. “And we are simply ecstatic that Bryan Cranston, one of the planet’s finest actors, shares our enthusiasm and has agreed to play the lead. I can’t wait to shoot Your Honor and show it to the world!”

Cranston has made a name for himself in television for over two decades with minor roles on Seinfeld and The King of Queens before making it big with the acclaimed 2000 sitcom Malcolm in the Middle and returning with the 2008 crime drama Breaking Bad, which earned him four Emmys for his lead performance and is considered by most to be one of the greatest shows of all time.

Stoner Joke. Three Men Died and Went to Hell Where They Met the Devil. (Warning! Long one)

Three men died and went to hell where they met the Devil. The Devil told them that they had sinned in life and therefore had to spend the next 666 years in hell to atone for their sins. However, since the Devil wasn't entirely merciless, he would let them choose for themselves how they were going to spend those 666 years. And so the Devil let the men to three doors.

Going through the first door, they entered what looked to be a normal bar. Although, if you were there for more than an hour, you would notice that no matter how much you tried to drink another bottle would appear on the shelf. And even better, the bar always had the exact drink you wanted available. An unlimited supply of every alcoholic beverage in existence. It was, in short, a drunkard's paradise.

When they entered the second door, they were greeted by a myriad of women all ready to satisfy every sexual desire they could possible have. There were multiple women of every shape, size and ethnicity imaginable. Looking closer you would notice that there were even celebrity and work crushes from your life in the crowd. Every single one of them ready to please you. It was, in short, a pervert's paradise

Finally, when they entered the third door, they found themselves in a forest made of cannabis. The ground was made of kief, all the bushes wore beatiful buds and even the trees were 20 feet tall cannabis plants. There were every strain it has or ever will be possible to grow. You could even find rocks of hashish laying around the forest floor if you looked closely. It was, in short, a stoner's paradise.

The Devil asked the men which room they each wanted. The words had barely left the Devil's mouth before the first man ran directly to the room with a myriad of women. The second man then went to the room with the bar, thinking that if he was going to spend 666 years in hell, he might as well be drunk for most of it. Lastly, the third man, thinking he had won the lottery, gladly went towards the room with the forest of cannabis.

666 years later, the Devil returned to see if the men had atoned for their sins.

When he opened the first door, bottles slowly rolled out and you could immediately smell piss and puke coming from the room. It took the Devil a while, but he finally found the man nestled between the bottles, smeared in his own shit and puke, and with arguably the worst hangover in history. The Devil agreed it was punishment enough and let him out.

When he opened the second door, he was overwhelmed with the sound of hundreds of crying children and angry women. Not ten seconds after the door opened, the man came running, pleading for the Devil to please let him out. There were kids of every age running around screaming and all the women were angry at each other, while everyone, children and mothers alike, were angry at the man. The Devil agreed it was punishment enough and let him out.

When the Devil opened the third door, he immediately saw the man sitting cross legged in a giant pool of his own tears. The Devil had not expected this. Confused, he went to ask the man what was wrong. The man, tears still running down his face, looked up at the Devil and said:

"I don't have a lighter"

Edit: a word

Sneak note: ITT a lot of people who wants to ruin the joke :(

A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered.

Upon their arrival, the doctor said he had invented a new machine that would transfer a portion of the mother's labor pain to the father. He asked if they were willing to try it out. They were both very much in favor of it.

The doctor set the pain transfer to 10% for starters, explaining that even 10% was probably more pain than the father had ever experienced before. But as the labor progressed, the husband felt fine and asked the doctor to go ahead and kick it up a notch. The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20% pain transfer. The husband was still feeling fine.

The doctor checked the husband's blood pressure and was amazed at how well he was doing. At this point they decided to try for 50%. The husband continued to feel quite well. Since the pain transfer was obviously helping out the wife considerably, the husband encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to him. The wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain. She and her husband were ecstatic.

When they got home, the mailman was dead on the porch.

Two ladies in heaven

1st woman: Hi Wanda!

2nd woman: Ohmigod, Sylvia! How did you die?

1st woman: I froze to death.

2nd woman: How horrible!

1st woman: It wasn't so bad. After I quit shaking from the cold, I began to get warm and sleepy and finally died a peaceful death. What about you?

2nd woman: I had a massive heart attack. I suspected my husband was cheating, so I came home early to catch him. But instead I found him all by himself in the den watching TV.

1st woman: So then what happened?

2nd woman: I was so sure there was another woman in the house that I started running all over the house looking, I ran up into the attic to search and then down into the basement. Then I went through every closet and checked under the beds. I kept this up until I had looked everywhere in the house. Finally I became so exhausted that I just keeled over with a heart attack and died,.

1st woman: Too bad you didn't look in the freezer. We'd both still be alive.

A five-year-old and a four-year-old are upstairs in their bedroom.

The mother walks into the kitchen and asks the five-year-old what he wants for breakfast, "Aw hell Mom, I guess I'll have some Cheerios."

.....WHACK!

He flies out of his chair, tumbles across the kitchen floor, gets up, and runs upstairs bawling.

The mom looks at the four-year-old and asks with a stern voice, "And what do YOU want for breakfast, young man?" "I'm not sure," he says, "but you can bet your ass it won't be Cheerios."

“I’m sure my wife won’t like this”

While riding my motorbike, I swerved to avoid hitting a deer, lost control and landed in a ditch, severely banging my head.

Dazed and confused I crawled out of the ditch to the edge of the road when a shiny new convertible pulled up with a very beautiful woman who asked, "Are you okay?"

As I looked up, I noticed she was wearing a low-cut blouse with cleavage to die for...

"I'm okay I think," I replied as I pulled myself up to the side of the car to get a closer look.

She said, “Get in and I’ll take you home, so I can clean and bandage that nasty scrape on your head.”

"That's nice of you," I answered, "but I don't think my wife will like me doing that!"

"Oh, come now, I’m a nurse," she insisted. "I need to see if you have any more scrapes and then treat them properly."

Well, she was pretty and very persuasive. Being sort of shaken and weak, I agreed, but repeated, "I'm sure my wife won't like this."

We arrived at her place which was just few miles away and, after a couple of cold beers and the bandaging, I thanked her and said, "I feel a lot better, but I know my wife is going to be really upset so I'd better go now."

"Don't be silly!" she said with a smile. "Stay for a while. She won't know anything. By the way, where is she?"

"Still in the ditch with the motorbike, I guess."

When Beethoven passed away, he was buried in a churchyard.

A couple days later, the town drunk was walking through the cemetery and heard some strange noise coming from the area where Beethoven was buried. Terrified, the drunk ran and got the priest to come and listen to it. The priest bent close to the grave and heard some faint, unrecognizable music coming from the grave. Frightened, the priest ran and got the town magistrate.

When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave, listened for a moment, and said, "Ah, yes, that's Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, being played backwards."

He listened a while longer, and said, "There's the Eighth Symphony, and it's backwards, too. Most puzzling." So the magistrate kept listening; "There's the Seventh... the Sixth... the Fifth..."

Suddenly the realization of what was happening dawned on the magistrate; he stood up and announced to the crowd that had gathered in the cemetery, "My fellow citizens, there's nothing to worry about. It's just Beethoven decomposing."

David Bowie Movie In the Works Starring Actor-Singer Johnny Flynn

You just knew it was coming this year... because Hollywood just can't help itself. A David Bowie movie titled Stardust is in the works starring Johnny Flynn, the singer-turned-actor who recently starred in the indie drama Beast and played a young Albert Einstein on the National Geographic series Genius. He also starred opposite Anne Hathaway in the indie movie Song One. Gabriel Range will direct from a script by Christopher Bell, and the film will follow a young Bowie during his first visit to America in 1971 -- a trip that inspired Bowie to create his iconic alter …

‘Alita: Battle Angel’ Review – Big Eyes, Full Heart, Can’t Lose

I've just met a girl named Alita, and suddenly that name—thanks to director Robert Rodriguez and some downright dazzling visual effects work from the folks at Weta Digital—will never be the same. Alita: Battle Angel is a whole heck of a lot of movie, a two-hour dive into a dense cyber-punk dystopia filled with cyborg bounty hunters, deadly roller-skate-based extreme sports, and the remnants of a catastrophic war between the Earth and Mars. The storytelling can be a bit of a catastrophe, too; there's more explanation in the dialogue here than there …

‘Cold Pursuit’ Review: A Hilarious, Darkly Comic Joyride

Cold Pursuit is not Taken. It’s not any of Liam Neeson’s action-thrillers, and it’s not trying to be. If anything, Cold Pursuit, Hans Petter Moland’s adaptation of his 2014 Norwegian film In Order of Disappearance, is a parody of the revenge film that has little patience for characterization or relationships. Rather than dive into the interior lives of its characters, Cold Pusuit relishes the thinnest of motivations to rack up a body count. Moland and screenwriter Frank Baldwin revel in the absurdity of the revenge movie, and they make the most of poking fun at …

I mean, if you don't like Woody Harrelson, do you even like movies? ‘Wounds’ Review: An Armie Hammer Showcase with a Swing and Miss Ending | Sundance 2019

Just because a movie doesn't end the way you hope, doesn't mean the entire thing is an utter failure, but sometimes that big finish is such an outrageous swing and egregious miss, that it completely changes the way you look at the entire experience. The Best Musicals on Netflix Right Now

Music is the universal language, and when combined with the visual medium, it can often create something quite special. The musical genre has certainly had its ups and downs over the years following its heyday throughout the 1950s and 60s, but you can always count on a resurgence following a fallow period. And of course Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Second Golden Age throughout the 1990s was defined by adding a musical element back into its films. So if you’re looking for something to sing along to, tap your feet to, or maybe just something to make you feel happy, …

First ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ Poster Arrives Ahead of the Highly Anticipated Movie’s Debut Trailer

It looks like Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, the stars of Universal's upcoming epic action movie Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, may have simultaneously punched and/or roundhouse kicked the Atlantic Ocean out of existence in order to make the film's first poster.
