One day, Joseph was caught in an accident at work and injured his eye. He had to have a cotton patch over it for a few weeks while it healed.
It was during this time that the man's fiance began spending less and less time at home, and much more at friend's houses, or so she said. It was also noted that she became much more interested in Joseph, feeling sorry for him.
Weeks went by and the wedding day of the man and his fiance finally came around. He waited at the altar for the entire day, but his fiance did not show up.
Shocked and disappointed, he walked back to his apartment, where he found a note from his fiance. It said that she was leaving him for Joseph, and that this was goodbye forever. He sat glumly on the bed and said to himself:
"If it hadn't been for cotton eye Joe, I'd have been married a long time ago. Where did you come from, where did you go? Where did you come from, cotton eye Joe?"

According to Tom Holland, Spider-Manbelongs in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the biggest news stories of last year was the supposed crumbling of Disney and Sony's deal to allow Spider-Man, whom Sony has owned the rights to for years, to be a part of the MCU. Reports emerged last summer saying the two studios had reached a stalemate during negotiations, and that Holland's Peter Parker would no longer appear within the MCU. Fans were understandably shocked and disappointed by this development, but had reason to celebrate when later Disney and Sony reached a new agreement (partially aided by a drunken phone call from Holland himself) allowing Spider-Man to stay in the MCU for the time being.
Spider-Man's introduction to the MCU was considered a high point for the mega-franchise when he first appeared in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. Since then, Holland has appeared in five MCU films total, two of which are solo Spider-Man adventures. The new Disney-Sony deal currently allows Holland to appear in one more solo film, as well as an additional MCU-set movie. However, Sony's chairman Tom Rothman recently said he hopes to continue the deal beyond those terms.
Following this whole chain of events, Holland has been open about his feelings regarding Spider-Man's near-exit from the MCU. Recently, Holland revealed his Onward co-star Chris Pratt supported him during that confusing time, and now Holland has continued to share his happiness that Spider-Man gets to stay in the MCU. While promoting Onward with MTV International, Holland was asked how excited he is to remain in the MCU, and he was quick to say he is "super excited." He also added that Spider-Man truly does belong in the MCU, saying this:
You know, the future for Spider-Man was still very bright with Sony, and we had a really, really wonderful idea of how we could sort of transition into a Spider-Man without the MCU, and Tom Rothman and Amy Pascal were really confident they were gonna do justice and make a film of the caliber Spider-Man requires. But that said, I'm really glad to be back in the MCU and to have the team back together because I kind of feel like it's where he belongs now.
Spider-Man: Homecoming 3(which has yet to receive an official name) is expected to go into production later this year, with its current release date set for July 16, 2021. In the meantime, there are rumors suggesting Holland's Spider-Man could cameo in some of Sony's Spider-Man-adjacent films, like Venom 2. This is another result of the renewed Disney-Sony deal, as Sony has the power to set their spin-offs within the MCU. The next Marvel film from Sony will be Morbius, which is already confirmed to be set in the MCU thanks to an appearance by Michael Keaton's Vulture in the film's trailer.
Holland's performance as Spider-Man has been widely praised, and his solo films have added a fresh young adult element to the MCU. Since last summer's Spider-Man: Far From Homeended on a cliffhanger, it would have been incredibly disappointing to not receive a follow-up. Thankfully, Holland will remain with the MCU for at least a while longer, though it sounds like if he has anything to do with it (and clearly he does, based on the drunken phone call), Spidey might stick around for more adventures than initially assumed.
Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer is leaving Legends of Tomorrow this season, but writing him out is a bad idea. Legends of Tomorrow has certainly come a long way since its first season, and many of the changes can be attributed to the show's rotating cast structure. Unlike other Arrowverse shows, such as Supergirland The Flash, an integral part of Legends of Tomorrow is the interchanging cast.
Since season 1, Legends have come and gone and the roster has fluctuated, which has allowed different personality combinations and superhero abilities to be showcased onboard. For the most part, the shifting cast has worked to the show's advantage - when characters fall flat, it's easy to phase them out. On the other side of the equation, it also makes it easier to integrate new characters and test them out - characters like Zari Tomaz and Nate Heywood didn't start right away, but they're still some of the most well-loved and integral figures. Unfortunately, however, the creative team behind Legends of Tomorrow has decided to give Ray Palmer the boot - and that's a mistake.
For starters, Ray is one of the few original legends left on the Waverider - other than Sara Lance, Mick Rory, and the ship's AI Gideon, every other main cast member has left the show. As such, Ray has become a core part of what makes Legends of Tomorrow what it is. It was Ray's charm, innocence, and kind spirit that made the show stand out in the early seasons when it was having difficulty finding its footing. Instead of focusing on broody heroes and "realistic" action like on Arrow, embracing Ray's childlike spirit helped the show to grow and become what it is now - a colorful, bombastic joyride through time and space.
By getting rid of Ray, Legends of Tomorrow loses one of the "founding fathers" of the team - he's a beloved character and has chemistry with everyone on board. So from a writing perspective, it's odd that the show would choose to ax somebody who can fit into virtually any storyline. Ray's aforementioned childlike personality is another central part of why he should stay - he is the only eternal optimist on the ship in the current roster, and getting rid of him could drag the tone down. While Behrad seems to be shaping up to fill the "easygoing, cheerful" persona this season, everybody else on the Waverider is fairly intense and has their own personal baggage to deal with. They're sarcastic, moody, and troubled - so they need someone bright and bubbly to balance them out so things never get too dark. Typically that character would be Ray; his genuine heart and kind spirit have softened the harsh edges of characters like Nora, Mick, and even Captain Cold back when he was on the show.
Additionally, by cutting Ray, Legends of Tomorrow also loses Nora. The duo comes as a package deal (considering that Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford are together in real life, it's no surprise), so Legends will be down not one but two unique characters in just a few short episodes. With Nora and Ray gone, that will rid the show of one of the few steady relationships - and while Ava and Sara are great, there's nowhere near as much depth to their romance as Nora and Ray have. Sadly, Brandon Routh has also made it clear that Ray leaving wasn't his decision, which makes the character's exit that much more tragic. While Legends of Tomorrowmay not plummet initially, in the long run, the writers may be kicking themselves for deciding to get rid of a unique, well-loved character out of nowhere.
Brahms: The Boy II adds to the mysterious story that was built in 2016’s The Boy, but when it comes to scares and gore the new sequel doesn’t bring very much to the table.
William Brent Bell’s The Boy was a moderate success upon its release and its recent sequel caught many people by surprise. The film provided an interesting take on the “evil doll” sub-genre of horror and it’s a fun movie that contains some real surprises. Brahms: The Boy II continues in the tradition of its predecessor when the creepy doll, Brahms, begins to slowly torment a new family. However, this sequel takes many deviations from the first Boy movie and it attempts to add an interesting new layer to Brahms’ mythology.
One of the most unique aspects of The Boy II is in how it responds to the events of the first film, but it also attempts to be a standalone sequel that doesn’t require any knowledge of what came before it. This creates a schism in the movie that it doesn’t exactly reconcile. Brahms: The Boy II brings many creative ideas to the table, but it also often seems to be fighting against its predecessor. Even though the sequel’s story is a bit of a mess, movies like this can still be satisfying if they deliver in the scares department. Unfortunately, The Boy II struggles to be memorable in most of the crucial areas of a horror film.
Brahms: The Boy II is fairly tame as far as horror films go. Some horror movies that are rated PG-13 can still really push the envelope, but The Boy II consistently plays it safe. Even people that are prone to getting frightened will be able to handle this movie. The most terrifying elements of the film understandably revolve around Brahms and his connection with Jude, but they’re never that intense. Minor paranormal events occur in the house, Brahms appears to move on his own, and Jude sketches some upsetting drawings of his family being killed. The film’s finale also features some demonic activity and it’s unnerving when Jude sports the real Brahms’ porcelain mask. However, the film continually leans into the possessed doll angle, which just isn’t as frightening as the idea of a person who lives in the walls, which is what fuels the first film.
Brahms: The Boy II isn’t a bloodbath by any means, but there’s almost a shocking lack of death and gore in this film. A lot of this has to do with the film’s tiny cast and how none of Jude and his family are going to die. The bloodiest act involves Liam, Jude’s problematic relative, who gets impaled on a broken croquet mallet. That being said, this is hardly a gory display and it doesn't kill him. It's just another demonstration of Brahms' eerie powers.
Furthermore, during the film’s final act when Joseph meets his end, he's consumed by the exaggerated flames of a furnace due to Brahm’s evil magic. However, the death is so mired in CG effects that it's not that scary or gory on either front. It's just a flashy display. Arguably the most violent act of the film is when Joseph smashes the Brahms' doll's head open with a croquet mallet. It's an explosive act, but it's to a doll, not a real person.
Sometimes the other descriptors in a horror film’s rating can create some trepidation towards the movie, but there’s nothing that intimidating with The Boy II. The strong language in the picture is referred to as “brief strong language,” and there’s really nothing explicit. “Thematic elements” and “terror” are also loose ideas to use as warnings. A home invasion kicks off the movie, which definitely applies to that. The idea of losing a son to a curse is also an inherently dark topic, as is the concept of children who are possessed to kill their parents. Both ideas are presented in very careful, safe ways, which keeps Brahms: The Boy II from ever getting too dark.
Donald Glover left Community during the show's fifth season, but the decision goes deeper than an opportunity to explore other gigs. The actor starred in the series as Troy Barnes, a former high school quarterback who went to Greendale Community College where he learned to embrace a different side of himself. The series was created by Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty), and it aired for five seasons before Yahoo! Screen saved it for a sixth installment in 2015.
Glover was one of the main characters in Community alongside Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, and Chevy Chase. The series premiered in 2009 and introduced the core set of characters as a study group who quickly grew into a close group of friends. Troy was meant to go to a big university but lost his scholarship, forcing him to enroll in Greendale. Troy and Abed (Pudi) became best friends as Troy finally learned to embrace his nerdy and creative side.
The beginning of Community season 5 featured a one-year time jump, meaning that every member of the study group had since moved on from Greendale. They re-enroll after Jeff (McHale) joined the college as the law professor as part of a special mission. The group then learned that Pierce (Chase) passed away, and Troy inherited 14 million dollars. There was a caveat to his inheritance that stated that Troy must sail around the world to obtain the money. He did so but was believed to have been captured by pirates on his journey. Glover only appeared in five episodes in the season before officially exiting.
It was initially believed that Glover left the series to further focus on his rap career under the stage name, Childish Gambino. In reality, Glover was dealing with some personal issues at the time and needed to regroup with his creativity.
Following the news of Glover's departure, the actor took to social media and shared a series of handwritten notes that explained that he was overcoming a few personal struggles. It was clear that he was suffering through some emotional stress, and he needed time to focus on his own well-being and his own projects. Glover, who just turned 30 at the time, stated that he needed independence but worried that he was letting down the fans of Community as well as Harmon. His exit didn't burn any bridges since Harmon invited Glover back for season 6, but the actor declined, explaining that he was comfortable with the ending for him and his character. Harmon later admitted that Glover's exit was the "death" of Community.
In the years that followed, Glover found himself and proved to be a jack of all trades. Not only did he release new music, but he also appeared in movies like Magic Mike XXL, The Martian, and Spider-Man: Homecoming. Glover also developed and starred in the award-winning drama series, Atlanta, which is gearing up to air its third and fourth seasons in 2021. The actor also cast as Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story and voiced Simba in the 2020 remake of The Lion King. Fans might have been upset by his early exit as Troy on Community, but Glover continues making a name for himself with other avenues.

In Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 is introducing players to a plethora of new player skins to unlock throughout the new season. From a character that turns weapons and vehicles gold to the "Merc with a Mouth" himself, Deadpool. Another great new addition to the lineup is Maya. A new player skin with unique customizable options. Each particular option is unlocked through completing a specific challenge week to week.
From shirt and pant colors to accessories and face paint there are multiple ways to make your Maya unique. To access Maya's looks a player will need to own this season's Battle Pass, then from the new Headquarters click the "Upgrade Vault" option in the upper right-hand section. This will lead you directly into Maya's upgrade room.
Inside the Upgrade Vault, players can browse each specific unlockable option and see what works best for their Maya's taste. Even if the challenge is not available, players will have access to all of the options available. One very important note is that once a specific challenge is completed and a style chosen, it will be permanently locked onto Maya. There is no option to switch things around once the choice is made. Be sure that the style you choose is the style you plan to keep.
The week 1 challenge unlocks Maya's hairstyle customizations.
Challenge: Achieve AR Specialist by dealing 250 damage with Assault Rifles in a single match (5)
To achieve this challenge a player is going to want to simply focus on using the Assault Rifles. Standard or Burst ARs will count towards the challenge. Once a player has gone 5 matches with at least 250 points worth of damage with an AR, they will have access to Maya's multiple hairdos.
The week 2 challenge unlocks Maya's tattoo customizations.
Challenge: Place top 20 in a match (5)
Another fairly straight forward challenge, simply stay alive and place in the top 20 for 5 full matches. This can be done in a variety of ways. The first and easiest way is to find a hideout and stay there. This is called "camping" and is generally looked down upon in multiplayer games but it is an effective way to last longer in a game. Many houses have attics that are good places to camp out due to the lack of windows, this creates a single entry point that a player needs to keep an eye on. If the storm circle moves simply gather yourself and find another spot to hide. Once completed, players will have access to multiple tattoo designs to adorn Maya's arms.
The week 3 challenge unlocks Maya's sleeve customizations.

Completing this challenge will give players access to three different sleeve styles for Maya.
The week 4 challenge unlocks Maya's boots customization.

Sonic the Hedgehog's release date of February 28 in China is officially delayed by Paramount, due to the mounting concerns over the coronavirus. The 2020 film is based on the extremely popular video game franchise produced by Sega. Sony Pictures tried to develop a film adaptation back in 2014 but was unsuccessful, and Paramount acquired the rights in 2017. The film stars Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as the voice of Sonic, along with James Marsden (Westworld) and Jim Carrey (Bruce Almighty) as the villainous Dr. Ivo Robotnik/Dr. Eggman, Sonic's arch nemesis.
The film got off to a rocky start after the first trailer received supremely negative reactions to Sonic's design, and the film was delayed three months in order to fully redesign the character. It was supposed to be released in November 2019, but they moved it back to February 2020 to allow plenty of time for the alterations. The original co-creator of the character, Yuji Naka, took to Twitter to thank fans for rebelling against the studio's design. The new version of Sonic the Hedgehog was well-received and one of the reasons the film exceeded expectations at the box office.
Paramount's decision to delay releasing the film in China was reported by Variety. China has closed their cinemas indefinitely because of the growing epidemic. They have reported 77,150 cases of the virus in their country as of Monday. Paramount released a statement about the delay, saying "Due to the current coronavirus situation, the China release date of the film Sonic the Hedgehog will be postponed, and we will re-announce the new release date at a later time." Many other films have delayed release dates, stopped productions, and canceled premieres because of the coronavirus, such as the upcoming James Bond film No Time To Die.
Paramount's statement continued on, taking a moment to thank everyone involved with efforts to halt the spread of the coronavirus and care for those affected by it:
As the whole country and world unite together to fight the outbreak of coronavirus, we would like to express our gratitude and respect to all the medical staff, the rescue personnel, and people in service who provide us with much-needed assistance and support during this time.
Their sincere comments display the rising severity surrounding the epidemic. The coronavirus has had more than 79,000 cases worldwide according to the World Health Organization, having spread to over 30 countries already. Many other markets are also being affected by its spread, such as the smartphone and gaming industries. Themes parks, like Shanghai Disneyland, have also closed.
Though Sonic the Hedgehog is delayed indefinitely in China, Paramount clearly plans to release the film there sometime in the future. Hopefully, the studio can announce a new release date soon, though with the ending of the coronavirus unclear, it might be awhile. The film has been quite successful so far, as it had the biggest opening box office weekend for a video game adaptation, beating the recent Detective Pikachufilm. Fans can rest assured that once China reopens their cinemas, Paramount will release Sonic the Hedgehogjust as expected.
