There is something special about Ramona's eyes that make viewers wonder if they have a brain of their own. She takes eye-rolling to a whole other level. They pop, they flutter, they bulge, they wince — her eyes have personalities and fans can't get enough.
There are countless memes online of Ramona's eyes saying everything we wish we could say, and they're not wrong. Ramona's eyes may as well be counted as an additional housewife.
9 When She's Gotta Go, She's Gotta Go
When it comes to the ladies of Real Housewives of New York, they have no shame. They own everything they do — even if it's pooping on the floor. Yup. Viewers have all seen Ramona and Sonja's bathroom troubles over the years but Ramona's moments shine bright.
While on vacation in season 12, Sonja saw a "turd" on the ground and it was revealed that Ramona pooped herself and didn't realize it. And this isn't the first time either. There was also a rumor that was started by castmates Leah McSweeney and Elyse Slaine that Ramona also defecates during intimacy. Regardless of the truth, those moments will follow Ramona for a lifetime.
8 Her Catwalk
The most iconic Ramona Singer moment has to be her epic catwalk in season three. Ramona was asked to walk in Brooklyn's Fashion Week on behalf of Loris Diran. To be fair to Ramona, she was nervous. She had never modeled before and had never been on a catwalk surrounded by professional models. She tried her best but her best was... meme-worthy.
As her friends sat in the front row, they couldn't help but say what everyone else was thinking: her eyes were popping. Former castmate Jill Zarin even said, "When Ramona walked out, she looked like an alien invaded her body."
7 Her Iconic Dating Scene
It was devastating when Ramona found out her husband of 20+ years was cheating on her with a younger woman in their own home. It was a months-long affair. Ramona and Mario's marriage couldn't survive that betrayal, so the two went their separate ways. As hilarious and strange as Ramona can be, she didn't deserve that heartbreak.
Single Ramona is like a whole new Ramona on RHONY. She's been dating half of Manhattan and has even been with some of her friends' exes. In the most recent season of RHONY (season 12), Ramona left her friends on numerous occasions to scope out an eligible bachelor.
6 When She Didn't Know The Name Of The Woman In Charge Of The Charity She Was Promoting
Andy Cohen once said that this moment on RHONY was the most cringe-worthy moment in Housewives history. Ramona, Sonja, and Dorinda went out of their way to raise awareness and funds for The New York Loves Kids event. The woman they were working with was named Bridie, and she was in charge of the organization and spoke her piece about abuse.
When Ramona started her speech (while standing next to Dorinda and Bridie), she called Bridie "birdie" and went off on a tangent. Sonja and Dorinda got involved and it was all very embarrassing.
5 "Who Are You To Get Me Wet!?"
Ramona doesn't do well when there's new blood in the cast. She gets jealous of beautiful newcomers and tends to take it out on them. This happened when Kristen Taekman joined the series. The former model was stunning, personable, and fun to be around. But for whatever reason, she and Ramona never saw eye-to-eye on anything.
While at former castmate Heather's house, Kristen splashed some lake water towards Ramona's canoe. In retaliation, Ramona threw her wine glass at her and even made her bleed. Later, Ramona apologizes to Kristen but takes it back when an argument is reignited. Without realizing how bad it sounded, Ramona screamed, "Who are you to get me wet!?".
4 Reggae
It doesn't matter how many times Ramona says the word, hears the word or likes the music, Ramona cannot say the word reggae. While out to lunch with Carole, she pronounced reggae as ruh-gae and ree-gae. But it didn't stop there.
Andy Cohen had Ramona on as a guest for Watch What Happens Live where he quizzed her on how to pronounce various words. Along with reggae, she couldn't pronounce kudos, hyperbole, Munchausen, and more.
3 Ramona's PTSD
There is absolutely nothing funny about PTSD. It's something to take seriously and commands attention and help. But leave it to Ramona to take something as serious as PTSD and make it laughable.
While staying at Heather's home in the Berkshires with the girls, Ramona did not want to be there. There was no air conditioning and she was feuding with a few of the ladies. She suddenly burst into tears while walking in the woods with Carole and claimed the woods set off her PTSD from her hard childhood. As serious as that moment should have been, Ramona tends to use PTSD often as a way to get her out of hard situations... She did this again in season 12 when she was trying to get out of an argument with Leah Sweeney.
2 Wow, Bethenny, Wow!
Ramona and Bethenny have been friends for years. And it's because of their history that tensions are heightened when they fight. In one scene, Bethenny told Ramona that she didn't think she was being a good friend to her. This struck a chord with Ramona.
"Wow. Wow, Bethenny. Wow. Are you kidding me, Bethenny? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?" Meanwhile, Bethenny is staring at her with a blank expression on her face while Ramona continues to say "Wow, Bethenny, Wow" again and again.
1 She Has 60 Close Girlfriends
At one time Ramona told the cameras that she had more than 30 close girlfriends. In season 12, she added 30 more women to that list and told everyone she had 60 close girlfriends. She kept telling everyone she had exactly 60 close friends. She spoke to these 60 friends every week and considered them all best friends of hers.
Sonja, of course, had an issue with this. Sonja considered her to be Ramona's best friend and didn't believe Ramona was as close to them as she was to her. But for Ramona's birthday party in season 12, you better believe she invited 60 of her closest gal pals.
