90 Day Fiance: Andrew Kenton’s Mental Stability Questioned After Online Comments

Andrew Kenton is no stranger to criticism from fans, but based off his string of recent problematic online behavior, the 90 Day FiancĂ© star is garnering a new level of concern about his mental stability. He’s gotten hate from the past for the way he treated his French fiancĂ© Amira Lollysa, and many fans were quick to label him a villain. If Andrew gave the wrong impression on the show, he’s hit the gas on social media, engaging in more and more aggressive and controversial actions that has fans questioning his overall mental stability.

On season 8, Andrew gained a bad reputation for being manipulative and gaslighting Amira to get what he wanted. After a disastrous trip to Mexico and Amira being detained for several days, Andrew quickly pushed and prodded her to go to Serbia as a way to get her into the United States. Amira eventually stood her ground and was bombarded with hateful texts from Andrew. Since then, Andrew has gone off the rails online, threatening violence against other 90 Day Fiancé alum, posting creepy selfies, and grasping at straws to explain away his behavior on the show.

Fans have tried to find explanations for Andrew’s conduct, and their theories run the gamut of personality deficiencies and disorders. After he threatened franchise alum David Toborowsky with violence, the discussion about Andrew’s mental state gained traction. Some fans called him “emotionally dysregulated” and compared him to an “incredibly angry and unmanageable little kid.” Others saw his behavior as an indication of low self esteem, saying he self sabotages so he can paint himself as the victim and not take accountability or ownership for his actions.

Another popular interpretation of his personality and behavior is that he’s nothing more than a full-blown narcissist. Andrew has blamed production for the way he appears on the show and has also popped up on message boards under several aliases to defend his actions to fans. Many interpret this as a need to control the narrative about himself, while others think he revels in the criticism because he enjoys being talked about, no matter the context. Some fans even think Andrew craves degradation and humiliation and is enjoying the criticism and hate he receives.

There are many theories flying about why Andrew is the way he is and does the things he does, but narcissism seems to be the obvious answer. Despite the united fan opinion that he is in the wrong, Andrew appears to be enjoying the notoriety. He’s even rebranded himself “D-Bag Drew” and is looking to capitalize on his “bad boy” image with merchandise. It’s unclear if Andrew is really at peace with his decisions and actions, but he outwardly seems to be reveling in the negative attention.

Andrew’s time on 90 Day FiancĂ© may not have gone the way he imagined, but it does appear that he’s taking to his villain role with gusto. His reaction to the hate he gets from fans is questionable and it’s not surprising that viewers have real concerns about his behavior. Whether it’s narcissism, low self-esteem, being a glutton for punishment, or just immaturity is hard to say, though that doesn’t stop fans from speculating. If Andrew is looking to change fans’ minds, he’s certainly going about it the wrong way, but it doesn’t seem that he cares.
