Ash Williams is here to make Dead by Daylight groovy
A little over a week after debuting the latest downloadable content and a day after the start of the PAX East festival in Boston, Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that Evil Dead character Ashley J. Williams is heading to its hit survival horror game Dead by Daylight with a confirmation video featuring the man himself, Bruce Campbell, which can be viewed in the player below!

Released on March 19, the new DLC features a new map entitled the Temple of Purgation, also known as the Red Forest, a new killer named The Plague and a new hero named Jane Romero, but the most notable new additions are perks entitled “Mettle of Man,” “Buckle Up” and “Flip-Flop,” all of which are rare to achieve in game.
In addition to be references to the franchise itself, the perks are all labelled as the “Ashley J. Williams” perk for the protagonist of the acclaimed horror franchise Evil Dead, in which the chainsaw-wielding hero was portrayed by Campbell (Burn Notice). The perks have so far only appeared in the PlayStation 4 version of the DLC and Behaviour has now confirmed the character as a playable survivor in the game.

Ash’s appearance in the game is not the first licensed character Behaviour has added as DLC to the game, as previous additions have included Halloween‘s Michael Meyers and Laurie Strode, Left 4 Dead‘s William “Bill” Overbeck, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘s Leatherface, A Nightmare on Elm Street‘s Freddy Kruger and Quentin Smith and Saw‘s Jigsaw pig costume and David Tapp.
Dead by Daylight was first released in June 2016 on Windows to generally positive reviews before being ported to the PS4 and XBOX One the following June and to the Nintendo Switch last month.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix will bring back much of the cast of the new films, which also includes Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), and Evan Peters (Quicksilver). Lamar Johnson of The Next Step has joined the cast in a mystery role and the mutant Dazzler will reportedly play a part in the film.
Simon Kinberg is writing and directing the film, marking his directorial debut. He will also produce alongside Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to open in theaters on June 7.

Tabitha Shick, MGM’s Executive Director, Worldwide Motion Pictures is overseeing the project on behalf of the studio. CG Animation and digital visual effects production is underway in Vancouver at Cinesite Studios, one of the world’s most highly respected independent digital entertainment companies.
Based on the famous New Yorker creations of Charles Addams, this animated action-comedy will follow the Addams family whose lives begin to unravel when they face-off against a crafty reality-TV host while also preparing for their extended family to arrive for a major celebration, Addams-style.
Morticia, devilishly devoted to her husband and children, is the pale glue that holds her clan together. Gomez, debonair, sinister and passionately in love with his wife, is enthusiastic about whatever dreadful scheme he’s cooked up. Wednesday is a brilliant and sinister teenage girl with long braids and deadpan wit. Pugsley, a menacing 10-year-old on over-drive, enjoys getting into any kind of dreadful mischief he can find. Mad Uncle Fester is good-natured, merry and likes to create mayhem any way he can. Grandmama is smitten with her grandchildren who enjoy her cookies shaped like bats and skulls. Margaux Needler, the reality TV makeover queen, is consumed with a desire for absolute suburban, pastel perfection.
The Addams Family will be distributed theatrically in the U.S. by MGM on October 11, 2019.

Kinberg: Disney Is Evaluating Fox’s In-Development X-Men Movies
Now that Disney’s acquisition of Fox is complete, the X-Men can finally part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The mutants and Marvel’s First Family will be under the direction of Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios, but it’s still unclear what will happen with the in-development movies that were in the works at 20th Century Fox.
Speaking with Variety, producer Simon Kinberg revealed that Disney is taking a look at what had been done before making any final decisions.
“All of the movies at Fox are being evaluated,” Kinberg said. “I love the idea of Channing playing Gambit. I think we have a great script for it and I think it’s a role he was born to play. It’s a character I grew up loving and I know the fans love. So I suspect, I hope it will happen. There will be a lot of mixing and merging now and I’m all for it and excited to see.”

Kinberg expressed his enthusiasm for the crossover that fans can expect in the MCU.

Written by Josh Zetumer, Gambit saw directors Gore Verbinski, Rupert Wyatt, and Doug Liman alternate behind the camera before they all left the project.

Anticipation has been high for the upcoming James Gunn-produced superhero sci-fi film Brightburn and the legendary mind behind Guardians o the Galaxy took to Twitter today to debut a new extended trailer and the first poster for the film written by his brother and his cousin, both of which can be viewed below!

A new take on the Superman origin story, BrightBurn asks, what if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? With Brightburn, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and Slither presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror.
BrightBurn is directed by David Yarovesky (The Hive) and written by Mark Gunn & Brian Gunn. Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games, Pitch Perfect) stars alongside David Denman (13 Hours, Power Rangers), Jackson A. Dunn (Shameless), Matt Jones (Mom, Home) and Meredith Hagner (Younger, Set it Up).

James Gunn produces, with executive producers Mark Gunn, Brian Gunn, Dan Clifton, Simon Hatt, and Nic Crawley. Screen Gems will release the film wide theatrically in the U.S over Memorial Day Weekend, on May 24 as well as most international territories.

An up-and-coming dramatic actor who burst onto the scene back in the early 2010s with a couple of roles in big teen movies like the Footloose remake and 2012’s Project X, Teller easily moved on from these lesser performances to bigger and better things. One of a few men considered fro the role of Han Solo in the 2018 Star Wars Story prequel, Teller is just waiting for the next big role to shoot him even further into stardom. Star of enigmatic filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn’s upcoming television series Too Old to Die Young, Teller is clearly not afraid to take creative risks. Most of the time, this works out for the best for him. Ultimately, the actor has some really impressive credits that he’s gathered since becoming an actor in the mid-2000s. These are by far his best.
Whiplash
The movie that put Damien Chazelle on the map, 2014’s Whiplash stars Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons in the story about a young drummer who enrolls at a music conservatory where an instructor pushes him to his limits. The movie was immediately praised as genius and cathartic, and it’s hard to imagine anyone but Teller and Simmons in the two leading roles. Of everything he’s done, Whiplash is peak Teller.
Only the Brave
One of two movies Teller did in 2017, Only the Brave is an incredible true story about a group of firefighters tasked with protecting a town from the biggest fire in Arizona history at the time. Costarring some incredible actors like Josh Brolin, Jeff Bridges, Jennifer Connelly, and Andie MacDowell, the film gives teller the chance to take part in a gripping and heroic story. It’s straightforward and surreal at the same time, with director Joseph Kosinski further proving his worth and Teller continuing to knock it out of the park.
Rabbit Hole
A role that actually came before Teller’s more recognizable performances in Footloose and Project X, Rabbit Hole is a mind-bender from 2010 starring Nicole Kidman and directed by John Cameron Mitchell. He might be more well-known for the other two roles, but Rabbit Hole proves that Teller has always had that talent in him from the start.
The Spectacular Now
A romantic drama that stands out against others from the 2010s, The Spectacular Now is a sweet and understated film that stars Teller and Shailene Woodley as a young couple of high school sweethearts on the verge of entering the real world. The supporting cast, filled with the likes of Brie Larson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Kyle Chandler, is obviously great, but the movie is totally all Teller and Woodley.
Thank You for Your Service
The second of two films from 2017 featuring Miles Teller, Thank You for Your Service dives deep into Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in a way not many other films have dared to. It’s a very real thing for troops returning to America from war overseas, and while Teller is far from being a troop, he at least does a good job portraying one. It remains a strong point in his filmography.
