A tourist visits an Indian reservation...

...where he finds an old chief who claims that he remembers everything that has ever happened in his life.

The tourist is curious and asks the chief "What did you have for breakfast on your 5th birthday?"

Without hesitation the chief replies "eggs".

Impressed, he continues his vacation and returns home.

Ten years later, he returns to the reservation and is surprised to see the same old chief again. He approaches the chief, puts his hand up flat and greets him with "how".

The old chief simply replies "scrambled".

A man experiencing severe headaches goes to the doctor

He says."Doc, you've gotta help me. I've been getting these same headaches everyday and I don't know what to do".

The doctor says "I experienced those same headaches too. Here's what I did: I went home and gave my wife oral sex. She would squeeze my head with her legs and this relieved the tension. Try it".

Two weeks go by, and the doctor calls him up, asking how he feels. He says "Doc, you're a genius! I haven't had a headache since I started this treatment. I feel like a new man! Oh, and by the way, you have a lovely home".

The Pope, the Packers & the Vikings

On a tour of Texas, the Pope took a couple of days off to visit the coast for some sightseeing. He was cruising along the beach in the pope-mobile when he heard a frantic commotion just off shore. A helpless man wearing a Green Bay Packer jersey was struggling frantically to free himself from the jaws of a 25-foot shark.

As the Pope watched, horrified, a speedboat came racing up with three men wearing Minnesota Viking jerseys. One quickly fired a harpoon into the shark's side. The other two reached out and pulled the bleeding, semi-conscious Packer Backer from the water, Then, using long clubs, the three beat the shark to death and hauled it into the boat.

Immediately the Pope shouted and summoned them to the beach. "I give you my blessing for your brave actions," he told them. "I heard that there was bitter hatred between Green Bay Packers & Vikings fans, but now I have seen with my own eyes that this is not true." As the Pope drove off, the harpooner asked his buddies "Who the heck was that??"

"It was the most knowledgeable Pope," one replied. "He can summon God anytime and has access to all of God's wisdom."

"Well," the harpooner said, "he may be knowledgeable & have access to God's wisdom, but he knows squat about shark fishing. Is the bait holding up okay, or do we need to get another one?"

It was just a day until Johnny turned 10

His mom said to him, "Now Johnny, tomorrow's your tenth birthday! So I will make you anything you want for breakfast in the morning!"

"Anything?" he asked in excitement.

"Anything."

Johnny sat there for several minutes contemplating what he wanted for his birthday breakfast. He finally sprung up and told her what he wanted for breakfast.

Once he told her, the mother's face grew very red with anger and she shouted, "HOW DARE YOU! GO TO YOUR ROOM NOW!"

So Johnny, confused and upset, ran up to his room and cried himself to sleep.

The next morning, Johnny got up and got ready for school. His parents were nowhere in sight, so he didn't have breakfast at home. He decided to stop at a mini mart on the way to school to get something to eat, because you know what they say, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" This caused him to be late for school.

When he walked into class, the teacher asked him why he was late for school. Johnny replied with, "Well last night my mom told me that I could have whatever I wanted for my birthday breakfast, and when I told her what I wanted, she got really mad and sent me to my room. When I got up this morning, my parents were gone, so I couldn't get breakfast. So I decided to stop somewhere and grab a bite to eat because you know what they say, 'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!' That caused me to run behind... and here I am."

The teacher looked very puzzled and asked, "Well what could you have possibly asked for that resulted in all this?" Johnny told her what he asked for. The entire class burst into laughter, and just like with his mother, his teacher grew red in the face and very angry and shouted, "GO TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE NOW! I WILL NOT TOLERATE THAT BEHAVIOR IN MY CLASSROOM!"

Johnny, very confused, made his way into the principal's office and plopped down in the seat in front of a big desk. The principal, very perplexed, asked, "Now Johnny, what are you doing here? You're one of the best students in the school!" Johnny said in response... "Well last night my mom told me that I could have whatever I wanted for my birthday breakfast, and when I told her what I wanted, she got really mad and sent me to my room. When I got up this morning, my parents were gone, so I couldn't get breakfast. So I decided to stop somewhere and grab a bite to eat because you know what they say, 'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!' That caused me to run behind and be late for class. When the teacher asked me why I was late, I told her the story and she got really mad... and here I am."

"Well what did you ask for that got you into this mess?"

"I don't think I should say. Every time I say it, I get in trouble."

"Nonsense!" The principal chuckled, "This is a safe space, you can tell me anything."

Johnny reluctantly said what he asked for, and the principal was fuming. "THIS KIND OF CHILDISHNESS IS UNACCEPTABLE! YOU'RE EXPELLED!"

Johnny went home, crying the whole way there. Once he got home, his dad was there. He said "What are you doing home from school so early? It's only 11!" Johnny said in response... When the teacher asked me why I was late, I told her the story and she got really mad and sent me to the principal's office. When the principal asked why I was in his office, I told him the story and he expelled me... and here I am."

"Well what did you ask your mother for that got you in so much trouble?"

"I don't think I should say. Every time I say it, I get into more trouble."

The father sternly replied, "I am your father. When I ask you a question, you give me the answer. Understood?"

"Okay..." Johnny says. He proceeds to tell his father what he wanted, to which he became furious and said, "NO SON OF MINE WILL EVER TALK LIKE THAT. AS A MATTER OF FACT, YOU ARE NO LONGER MY SON! PACK YOUR BELONGINGS AND GET OUT!"

(section omitted because this joke is getting out of hand)

Many years later, we find Johnny lost on the streets. He sits next to an old homeless man who looked kind. The old man asked, "How did you get here? You look so young and full of potential."

Johnny sighs. "This all started years ago, my mom told me that I could have whatever I wanted for my birthday breakfast, and when I told her what I wanted, she got really mad and sent me to my room. When I got up this morning, my parents were gone, so I couldn't get breakfast. So I decided to stop somewhere and grab a bite to eat because you know what they say, 'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!' That caused me to run behind and be late for class. When the teacher asked me why I was late, I told her the story and she got really mad and sent me to the principal's office. When the principal asked why I was in his office, I told him the story and he expelled me. When I went home and told my dad what happened, he kicked me out of the house... and now here I am, with nothing left in my life."

"Well what on earth did you ask for that caused you to lose everything?

"Oh no no no, I'm not telling anyone that! Every time I answer that question, something bad happens."

"Why not tell me? What else do you have to lose?"

"You're right... what do I have to lose?

"Soooooo what was it?"

Johnny sighs again and says, "A cherry pie."

The old man just laughs. Johnny looks very confused. He looks up and says, "Well if you want a cherry pie so bad, go get one from that stand across the street! Here, have a little bit of my cash, if you promise you'll share with me."

"You're right, I should get that pie!"

So Johnny gets up, crosses the street, and gets hit by a bus.

What's the moral of this story, you ask?

...

Look both ways before you cross the street.

Best joke that I tell...got it from this sub over a year ago

A young American tourist just arrived in the Irish Countryside for vacation.

He steps into the nearest pub for a pint, and sits down near this old haggard man.

The old man looks over at the Tourist and says:

"Young man, do you see this Pub? I built this Pub. I raised these walls, I built these tables, I laid the stone floor...I built this Pub, and it's a beautiful Pub...but do they call me Blarney the Pub Builder? No...they don't."

The tourist looked around and agreed. It WAS a beautiful Pub.

Then the old man says:

"Look out in the yard out front...do you see that wall? I built that wall. I quarried the stones, I chiseled them to shape, I carefully placed each one. I built that wall, and it's a beautiful wall...but do they call me Blarney the Wall Builder? No...they don't."

The tourist was admiring the craftsmanship of the wall when Blarney interrupted his thought and said:

"Young man, look out the window to the lake. Do you see that pier? I built that pier. I chopped down every tree, I milled every plank, and I drove every nail. I built that pier, and it's a beautiful pier. But do they call me Blarney the Pier Builder? No...they don't...

...but you fuck ONE goat..."

What You Need to Know Before Playing Red Dead Online

Though it's been more than a month since Red Dead Redemption 2, its online portion titled Red Dead Online is only now starting to roll out for players in beta form. Like the single-player portion of the game however, Red Dead Online has a lot of unique features and tiny details that some players may not pick up on right away.

In a lot of ways, Red Dead Online takes a lot of what made Grand Theft Auto 5's online mode, which was simply called Grand Theft Auto Online, work and implemented it into the Old West world of Red Dead Redemption 2. Still, there's a lot of brand new features that developer Rockstar has taken great care in adding in Red Dead Online, including an expanded reliance on natural free roam events that occur on the map. Additionally, there's a posse system that heavily encourages teaming up with friends or other players and tackling the world of Red Dead Online with a group (though solo play is certainly possible).

Related: Everything We Know About Red Dead Redemption 2 Online

Screen Rant's Red Dead Online beginner's guide will provide players with all pertinent information available about Red Dead Online's features before they even have to step foot into the game's mode. This will hopefully provide a clear sense of what to expect from multiplayer and give players an advantage heading into the often unforgiving world of the Old West setting of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Features Available in Red Dead Online

Red Dead Online has a ton of features available for players, but one of the biggest ones available include a comprehensive free roam world, where players can team up to not only complete missions, but thwart the missions of other players. This is part of Rockstar's expanded focus on a shared world where events can happen naturally as opposed to GTA Online's more matchmaking-oriented world (matchmaking does still exist in Red Dead Online, however). These notifications will pop up when available and you can even transport your character to other portions of the map if needed.

Also included is the Series mode, which pits players against each other in various competitive challenges. Here's a list of the different Series, and what they entail:

  • Shootout/Team Shootout: Bascially a team deathmatch type mode. Whoever has the most kills when time runs out wins.
  • Make It Count: This is Red Dead Online's version of a battle royale, pitting players against each other using only bows and arrows or throwing knives.
  • Most Wanted: A mode where every kill moves players up the scoreboard list. Players who are closer to the top will be worth more points to others who may happen to kill them.
  • Hostile Territory: Basically a hardpoint-like mode where the objective is to capture different areas with teams and hold them. Whichever team has the most points at the end wins.
  • Name your Weapon: A free-for-all or team-based mode where the more unique weapon used to kill other players, the more points scored.

What To Do First in Red Dead Online

Obviously one of the first things you'll have to do in Red Dead Online is create your own unique character for use. This will be done before players are even thrown into the mix of things. After that, there will be a couple short introduction missions that will help explain the mechanics of the game mode. This will be especially useful for those who haven't put too much time into the single player mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, so be sure to pay close attention. After that, it's probably a good idea to familiarize yourself with your own unique camp and then find a group of players to ally with in Red Dead Online's posse mode.

How To Form Posses in Red Dead Online

If players are going at it alone, certain missions in Red Dead Online will pair them up with three other players for the duration of a mission. These are temporary and automatically disband after a mission or activity is completed. However, the most efficient team up available in the game is the persistent posse system, which allows players to permanently team up with up to seven other players.

These posses require an in-game payment to establish and will see players creating a name and emblem for their group. Whenever the leader of the group logs in, the posse will instantly form, making it an extremely efficient grouping system. Additionally, the posse can choose similar outfits and a camp site for their home base and the leader can even toggle friendly fire.

Red Dead Online's Progression System

Similar to GTA OnlineRed Dead Online has a rank-based leveling system. These ranks can be achieved by completing activities or missions within the world. Additionally, there are now ability cards that give players different advantages when Dead Eye is activated or even passive cards for when traversing the Old West.

These cards really give a sense of building your own type of character and play style and they can even be upgraded using both in-game cash and gold. Speaking of the gold system in Red Dead Online, it's quite a bit different from the single player version of the currency.

Currency System in Red Dead Online

Like the single player portion of Red Dead Redemption 2, players will need to build up in-game cash to buy items and new guns (they'll also need to achieve certain ranks to unlock these items). However, there's also gold nuggets that can be earned by completing activities and missions in Red Dead Online. Once players have built up 100 gold nuggets, they can exchange them in for one big gold bar. You'll need both gold nuggets and gold bars to unlock certain items in the game. There's also speculation that eventually players will be able to buy gold with real currency, confirming the addition of microtransactions.

--

While there are plenty of other things to do in Red Dead Online, these beginning tips and tidbits of information should offer players plenty of knowledge before making the plunge into Rockstar's latest online mode. Naturally, just like GTA Online, this Old West world will continue to receive updates and expansions as time goes on, especially once the mode moves beyond its current beta state.

Why The Avengers 4 Trailer "Delay" Is A Smart Move For Marvel

The wait for the Avengers 4 trailer may be frustrating fans, but it's a very smart move on the part of Disney and Marvel Studios. Their epic culmination of the MCU is due to release on May 3, 2019, little more than five months away, yet there's still no trailer.

That hasn't stopped rampant speculation of when the Avengers 4 trailer will drop. Pretty much from the moment Thanos' victorious smile closed out Avengers: Infinity War, fans have been anticipating a proper look at its part 2, but with all to go on being Kevin Feige's promise the trailer would be before the end of the year, speculation has been the order of the day. This week alone, there's been strong claims it will be any day. Of course, the short of it is that nobody actually knows and is at best making educated guesses based on what little incidental information Marvel has left out there; anybody speaking with any higher authority is twisting base facts.

But in all the talk about when the Avengers 4 trailer will release (and what it will reveal), it's worth taking a step back to consider the silent puppeteer in all of this. Marvel is as active in not releasing as they are, and in getting all excited and exasperated about the teaser drop, we're playing perfectly into their hands.

Why Is The Avengers 4 Trailer Delayed?

Simply put, there is no delay on the Avengers 4 trailer. At the time of publication, we're just under one year on from Avengers: Infinity War's first teaser, a film that at the time had the same release weekend as Avengers 4. At most, the Avengers 4 trailer is a day late. Importantly, we're also still in the timeframe of trailer releases for other MCU May releases of recent years: Captain America: Civil War's teaser released on November 24; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's teaser (as opposed to the not-a-trailer tease a month before) was December 3. That gives a two-week stretch for the trailer to be released and it be "on plan".

However, all of that treats Avengers 4 like just another Marvel movie. This is their biggest movie yet, bigger than The Avengers or even Infinity War, and that may warrant a different marketing approach. Indeed, Avengers: Age of Ultron's teaser trailer released on October 22, an earlier date indicative of it being viewed as a bigger sequel (even though a more middling quality led to lower box office). Avengers 4 could be going for a comparable yet opposite marketing approach, having the release later than expected.

Why The Avengers 4 "Delay" Is A Good Thing

What we can say about the Avengers 4 trailer release date with some certainty is that, whenever it is, it's being viewed as "late" on purpose. Having it release after Avengers: Infinity War's date would inevitably raise eyebrows and, as we're now experiencing, it's getting people more engaged in a film still half-a-year away. And that's what this wait is really all about. Marvel has - quite literally - done nothing and there's been a major spike in interest for the movie regardless.

Related: Avengers 4: All The Rumors, Leaks & Spoilers

This isn't a situation like Solo: A Star Wars Story. There, a majorly delayed start to the marketing - the first TV spot aired on the Super Bowl, just under four months ahead of release - failed to offset massive audience skepticism, with the trailers so tepid they actively helped create Star Wars' first bomb. Here, the lack of trailer isn't cause for concern or the hint that something is awry, but a careful trick from a studio that knows it has the attention of those who are getting irritated and so can play around more.

It's worth noting that the trailer is hardly the only thing Marvel's hold back. Avengers 4 still doesn't have a title, long after the argument that it's an Infinity War spoiler has expired, and officially all that's known of the plot is a vague synopsis; anything pertaining to returning heroes or time travel comes from accidental drops in interviews and set photos. All of this amplifies the feelings around the trailer to encompass the entire movie, building it up as an elusive event of pure excitement.

But it's not just about riling up the fans (who, after all, make up a small fraction of the audience). This also helps with protecting spoilers, something the MCU's become increasingly adept at in; even for movies that don't have any big surprises, Marvel crafts an air that every detail is illicit and shouldn't be known before the theater. One of the biggest problems there is that modern blanket marketing requires as much of the movie teased for maximum sell potential (even Avengers: Infinity War showed most of its non-shocking plot beats in trailers). Holding the start of Avengers 4's campaign back allows more of the good stuff to be an unguessed mystery.

-

When the Avengers 4 trailer does release - and, as exemplified by the uncertainty, nobody actually knows that - it will be exactly when Marvel have decided to drop it. Until then, any speculation is all part of the plan.

Margot Robbie Really Wants Poison Ivy to Join Harley Quinn in the DCEU

Margot Robbie wants to explore Harley Quinn's relationship with Poison Ivy in the DCEU, and is trying to make it happen. Robbie became one of Warner Bros.' biggest stars in the comic book movie world through Suicide Squad, and the studio has plenty of interest in continuing her story any way they can.

Following her breakout role, WB, DC, and Robbie began working on four separate projects that could see the return of Harley Quinn. Robbie became most interested in Birds of Prey, and helped push the project forward. The movie will see Harley team up with Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). But this means that other team up projects like Gotham City Sirens and Suicide Squad 2 have to wait if they want to use Harley. This is potentially delaying several other fan requested meetings, such as Harley and Poison Ivy. The latter was likely to be included in David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens film, but that project appears to have had some similarities to what Birds of Prey became.

Related: DC Kills Poison Ivy Ahead of Birds of Prey Movie

Harley and Poison Ivy's first cinematic encounter doesn't look to be coming in Birds of Prey, but Robbie wants it to happen soon. During an interview with Pride Source, Robbie was asked if she was aware of Harley's sexuality in DC comics, particularly the romantic relationship between Harley and Poison Ivy. Not only is she knowledgeable about their vast history together, but Robbie confirms she wants to explore this relationship in future films, and is working to make that happen.

Yeah. If you read the comics you know that Poison Ivy and Harley have an intimate relationship. In some comics they convey it as a friendship; in other comics you can see that they’re actually sexually involved as a couple. I’ve been trying to – I would love to have Poison Ivy thrown into the universe, because the Harley and Poison Ivy relationship is one of my favorite aspects of the comics, so I’m looking to explore that on screen.

As mentioned by Robbie, the level of Harley and Poison Ivy's relationship can vary depending on the particular comic story. They've been just friends, but also romantically involved. It's a dynamic that has not only become important to the individual characters, but also for plenty of readers and fans of them. In fact, the two were married earlier this year.

Although it doesn't appear that 2020's Birds of Prey will get to explore this relationship, there should be plenty of opportunities in the future for Robbie to fulfill this hope of hers and many others. The actual status of Gotham City Sirens remains unclear, but it could be brought back into development once Birds of Prey hits. Poison Ivy could also join the roster of Suicide Squad 2, which could be used as the avenue for the two women to meet. There's also the reported Joker and Harley Quinn movie, which pits Harley against her usual love interest. This film could potentially explore Harley breaking away from an abusive partner to find a better partner in Poison Ivy.

Robbie doesn't have anyone specifically in mind for the part right now according to this interview though. Deadpool's Morena Baccarin has previously expressed interest in the role, as has Mad Max: Fury Road and Hold the Dark star Riley Keough. However it does play out, Robbie is a producer on Birds of Prey, and could serve in the same role for future Harley Quinn films, so her power should be able to help get Poison Ivy in the DCEU sooner rather than later.

10 Things Most Fans Don't Know About Queenie Goldstein

Of all the characters in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Queenie Goldstein is the one who underwent the most dramatic transformation (and that’s including women turning into snakes!). First introduced in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, Queenie always came across as a sweet, loving, adorable kind of witch. Unlike her sister Tina, Queenie isn’t ambitious and loves to cook and care for people. A powerful Legilimens, she is able to understand the thoughts of others, but rather than using this power to control, she uses it kindly, with great compassion.

Related: Fantastic Beasts 2 Star Explains Queenie's Shocking Decision

Sweet, cute, and pink-clad, this little blonde ray of sunshine shocked fans when she sided with Grindelwald at the end of Fantastic Beasts 2 - even if she was tempted over to the Dark Side of wizardry because of her love for a Muggle man. Her decision to join Gellert isn’t the only thing that may surprise you about this witch, though…

10. She’s A Capricorn

Although we’ve yet to see Queenie celebrate a birthday on screen, we’re sure she’d make a pretty phenomenal cake for herself… and it might be decorated with a wintery theme, because Queenie was born on Jan 6th, 1903. This birthdate is revealed in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them when we see her MACUSA ID card, which also includes her job, photo, and fingerprints. This birthdate also means that she is two years younger than her sister Tina - and they definitely have the relationship dynamic to fit that age gap, with the more serious Tina taking care of Queenie.

9. She’s An Orphan

Harry Potter isn’t the only major character in J K Rowling’s wizarding world who has lost their parents. Tina and Queenie lost both their mother and father to Dragon Pox when they were relatively young. The exact age that this happened hasn’t been revealed, but as they were described as having been left to ‘raise each other’, presumably they were either not adopted by a particular family, or were old enough that they were left to their own devices. What this means now is that Tina and Queenie only have each other - and an incredibly close bond.

8. She Was Sorted Into Pukwudgie

Like Hogwarts, the American school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Ilvermorny, has a house system. Students are sorted into four houses according to their talents and dispositions, and Queenie’s house was Pukwudgie. Fans might not know the traits of these houses as well as they do those of Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin - but Pukwidgie students are known for being kind healers… but can also be independent, just like the magical creature this house is named for. That sounds like Queenie - especially now that she’s shown that independence in leaving her loved ones to follow Grindelwald.

7. She Is (Probably) Jewish

This one might seem obvious, given the surname ‘Goldstein’, which is a very common Jewish name - but Queenie and Tina aren’t 100% confirmed to be Jewish themselves. However, J K Rowling has taken to Twitter to confirm two other pieces of information that connect to the sisters’ heritage; first, that they are distantly related to Anthony Goldstein, and second, that Anthony Goldstein was a Jewish student at Hogwarts (and a Ravenclaw). This makes it highly likely that they themselves are also Jewish, especially as Jewish descent passes through the maternal line, and Goldstein would be a descendant of theirs (or of a distant cousin, perhaps).

6. She’s A Half-Blood

Another little tidbit that we can glean from the MACUSA ID card that was revealed in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is that she and her sister are Half-Blood, not Pure-Blood, witches. This is only mentioned on Tina’s ID card, but as they are full sisters, they have the same blood status. Interestingly, though, both the Goldstien parents were confirmed to be magical, which means that it’s one of their grandparents who was a Muggle. (Half-blood can refer to parents or grandparents being muggles.)

5. She Works With Wands

Wands are one of the most vital tools in the wizarding world - and only a handful of extremely powerful witches and wizards can work magic without using one. Queenie works in the Wand Permit Office of MACUSA - a far from glamorous job, keeping track of the wand permits that every witch and wizard in New York City was required to carry at the time. Of course, she probably won’t be working there anymore, now that she’s decided to join Grindelwald’s forces! He’s definitely not the kind of wizard who would approve of this legislation…

4. She Joined Grindelwald Because Of ‘Rappaport’s Law’…

Any fan of the films knows that Queenie was seduced by Grindelwald’s words because she wanted to marry her boyfriend, Jacob Kowalski, who is a muggle (or, for those who prefer the American term, a no-maj). The film makes it clear that this isn’t a marriage that most wizards would approve of, but did you know that at the time it was actually against wizarding law? This law is called ‘Rappaport’s Law’, and was enacted in 1790. It is designed to separate muggle (or no-maj) and wizarding communities and protect the International Statute Of Secrecy.

3. … But Grindelwald Won’t Repeal It

Although Queenie is hopeful that Grindelwald will be the one to repeal Rappaport’s Law so that she and Jacob can legally marry (and not just in the UK), he won’t be the one to make that happen. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald takes place in 1927, but according to Pottermore, Rappaport’s Law was not repealed until 1965, and Dumbledore defeats Grindelwald in 1945. Which means that Queenie’s defection is all the more tragic, as she never gets what she is hoping for; the right to openly be with the person she loves.

2. Her Wand Includes Mother Of Pearl

Most wizards and witches have wands made simply with wood and some kind of magical core, but Queenie’s is something special. Although the core material hasn’t yet been revealed, the wand is made out of dark rosewood, and includes a mother-of-pearl shell at the base. The mother-of-pearl addition suggests that this could be a Jonkers wand, and because this wandmaker used Wampus Cat hair almost exclusively, it’s likely that this is what’s at the core of Queenie’s. It’s inspired by Art Deco style, and suits Queenie down to the ground.

1. She Might Do Some Singing In A Future Movie

Fantastic Beasts isn’t a musical franchise, although we have heard Queenie do a little singing in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, when she and Tina sang the Ilvermorny school song. However, the actress who plays Queenie, Alison Sudol, is primarily a musician and the majority of her IMDB credits are in soundtrack work rather than acting. This is one of the first times that she is in front of the camera, and bringing in a lesser-known actress for such a huge franchise makes us think that there may be some intention to use her vocal talents in the future.

12 Last-Minute Changes That Hurt Twilight Movies (And 8 That Saved Them)

When it comes to the Twilight franchise, most people either love or hate the films as well as the books they are based on. No matter which camp you hail from, you have to admit that there have been some stellar movie-making moments in the series, from director Catherine Hardwicke paving the way for the continuous loop of varied YA adaptations we continue to enjoy to this day to the cool action sequences, CGI footage, and that kind of intense emotional scenes that can only exist in teen stories. The first film exceeded box office expectations by millions of dollars and left naysayers dumbfounded, despite Hardwicke's shoestring production budget.

The series also has plenty of not-so-great elements, from the common complaint about unhealthy teen relationships to its banal heroine. While Hardwicke was able to talk author Stephenie Meyer into including a few more diverse faces in the film, from Edi Gathegi as the least important villain, Laurent, to Christian Serratos and Justin Chon as very minor characters Angela and Eric, it also strongly lacks diversity in its major characters.

As with any other film adaption of a beloved book series, it also faced many fan complaints for not being 100% true to its source material. Then, of course, there are the last-minute changes to the script that both helped and hurt the movie, some of which saved it from tanking and others that still make us wince.

Here are 12 Last-Minute Changes That Hurt Twilight Movies (And 8 That Saved Them).

20 Saved: Recasting Bryce Dallas Howard As Victoria

While the original Victoria, played by Rachelle Lefevre, was as wild and unruly as her book counterpart, her casting didn't have enough star power to help bankroll the sequel that would require her much more heavy involvement. Enter Bryce Dallas Howard, who was an up-and-coming star at the time, with her vivid red hair and well-recognized name.

Although long before her The Help, Pete's Dragon, and Jurassic World fame, the popular actress was just becoming a household name after becoming known from spots in The Village, Lady in the Water, Spider-Man 3, and Terminator: Salvation. Howard is pretty much a staple actress within the fantasy and sci-fi worlds now and in hindsight we can see that, while Lefevre was talented, Howard was able to attract audiences with both talent and name recognition.

19 Hurt: Emily Browning Turning Down The Role of Bella Swan

While Kristen Stewart is well-known as the main protagonist of the Twilight films, she was very nearly not Bella Swan at all. Emily Browning, whom author Stephenie Meyer wanted for the role, actually turned down an audition before Stewart opted to wear Bella's shoes. Browning has slammed the series, calling it emotionally abusive, and she also says that had she taken the role and gained the attention that Kristen Stewart had in the series, it likely would have driven her from acting.

Many believe that Browning could have brought more nuance to the role of Bella Swan, particularly since the author herself felt that way, but we'll never know for sure.

18 Saved: Cutting CGI Renesmee

Everyone who has ever glimpsed the animatronic creature that once was Renesmee Cullen thanks their lucky stars that she was ultimately cut from the films. This thing was so weird that it was even dubbed Chuckesmee by those who encountered it, and the scenes with it were so awkward and disturbing that it was deemed unfit for the movie.

It's obviously difficult to portray a baby who grows into a young child in a matter of weeks, but making her look like a cross between Rita Hayworth and Sailor Moon is not the way to do it. Those who complained about the obviously CGI Renesmee don't know how good they have it.

17 Hurt: Edward Doesn't Read Charlie's Mind

Remember that Edward can read everyone's mind but Bella's? It's a pretty crucial detail, but it's especially interesting when you consider that he can "listen" to what his girlfriend's father is thinking about him. Luckily Edward is older than Charlie and a vampire, or else the thoughts might make him nervous and uncomfortable. There's a deleted scene from the first film where Edward reads Charlie's mind and Bella chastises him.

The scene helps us remember the tension between Edward and Charlie, giving us an idea of what it's like to be able to read your future father-in-law's mind, but it also delivers a funny line: Edward laughs that Charlie thinks that Bella attends an all-girls school and she tells her boyfriend that it's not fair to listen in on her father's thoughts.

16 Saved: Cutting Edward Breaking Jacob's Arm To "Protect" Him

During the fourth Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 1, a war between the Cullens and the werewolves looms over Forks as speculation about Bella's transformation whispers through the Quileute wolf tribe collective mindhive. Edward grudgingly wants Jacob to survive this battle, perhaps for his bride Bella's sake or more likely because the werewolf's just been "imprinted" onto the vampire's daughter, Renesmee. Either way, he does what Edward does best when it comes to conflict: he makes a hasty and poor decision and breaks Jacob's arm.

The scene, which shows a quick fight and the breaking of Jacob's arm, would have just done more damage between the two and it's good that it was cut from the film. Still, fans who think it was fun to watch can still see the deleted scene.

15 Hurt: Bella Doesn't Lock Edward Out

To lock or not to lock? That was the question, at least for Bella Swan in the third Twilight film, Eclipse. When Edward explains that he understands if an angry Bella doesn't want him to visit her bedroom, we think that she's going to stay strong against her shimmery boyfriend and lock him out. That's exactly what she does in a deleted scene from the movie-- before going back to unlock the window.

This would have helped give Bella a bit more strength than she's normally shown to have. Her first instinct is to maintain her boundaries and remain angry with Edward, but she unlocks the window at the last minute, caving in to her feelings for him. Ultimately, while it's not the best representation of a healthy teen relationship, it is a fairly accurate one for many.

14 Saved: Keeping Taylor Lautner As Jacob Black

Taylor Lautner was nearly replaced in New Moon because he was considered too small for the part. It wouldn't have hurt to cast someone with a less "distant" indigenous ancestry in the role, either. However, the start buckled down and bulked up in the gym to save his part as Jacob.

Leaving Lautner behind would have been a big mistake simply due to the fan base he whipped up. Jacob's identify was solidified with Lautner's charm, which would have to be traded with teen angst during his werewolf development. It was fortuitous that he decided to bulk up for the role.

13 Hurt: Cutting The Volturi Wedding Invitation Scene

The Volturi are the worst. They're meant to be the major antagonists in the Twilight series, and many fans take umbrage with the fact that, while they ultimately didn't declare war on the Cullen family, they were still able to eat humans as they pleased and generally be a plague of monsters on the planet. In the fourth film, Breaking Dawn: Part 1, there is a deleted scene in which the Volturi are invited to Bella and Edward's wedding in order to help secure peace between the vampire law enforcers and their hippie "vegetarian" counterparts.

Not only does this scene help set up the rising tension within the two final films of the series, but it also reminds us what the Volturi are capable of doing to humans.

12 Hurt: Chopping $4 Million From The Budget

Cutting money from any film's budget is bound to do it harm, and Twilight faced an enormous cut when $4 million was chopped from the budget at the very last minute. It's almost as if they were determined to make Catherine Hardwicke's project fail. Summit Entertainment gave her just four days to find a way to cut that much money from the film's budget just before production began.

Everything from special effects to action sequences were cut, and we'll never know the full realization of Hardwicke's vision as a result. While we can't say for sure that the cuts impacted the movie all that much without having seen what might have been, we can speculate that something much more special may have been possible had the film retained its original budget.

11 Hurt: Cutting James And Victoria's Romance

James and Victoria, the hunter vampire and his mate, are the main antagonists in the first Twilight film, threatening both the people of Forks as well as Bella Swan's life. Unlike the "vegetarian" Cullen family, the pair enjoy drinking human blood.  A deleted scene in the film displayed the pair making out while the Forks police force sought them out, and their joy over being so evasive to the cops while enjoying one another added a lot to the film in just a few seconds.

The scene shows the cops in action, which gives us a glimpse at just how ineffective humans are against vampires. It also shows how infatuated and ruthless James and Victoria are. It's clear they'd definitely want revenge if one of them was taken out by the Cullens.

10 Saved: Changing The Glitter Effects Just Before New Moon

Oh, those glitter effects in Twilight. In the defense of the filmmakers, with the tightened budget given it was probably difficult to give the sparkle-vamps a better portrayal. Meyers' description of the shining creatures, whose skin shimmers due to its hard strength, is already difficult to describe, let alone depict on film.

Luckily, just before the release of New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, director Chris Weitz, who had the goal of keeping all of the vampires and werewolves looking as realistic as possible, was still working on the CGI effects to improve them over the previous film. Weitz says these changes were still being made just weeks before the first cut of the movie.

9 Hurt: Bella Doesn't Try To Make Peace with Edward and Jacob

A big component of the Twilight series is Bella attempting to remain friends with Jacob Black while pursuing Edward Cullen as a romantic interest. Black and Cullen hate each other because of their species alone, which is pretty much fantasy racism, and both are in love with her, which only adds more intense vitriol in the triangle.

During the third installment of the series, Eclipse, there's a scene where Bella attempts to make peace between the two, but it was left on the cutting room floor. While there are other scenes where Bella struggles to keep her suitors at peace, it would have been a moment that demonstrated her strength and commitment to her friend as well as her love interest, giving her a stronger appearance.

8 Saved: Sticking To The Book's Original Ending

Had the original Twilight film deviated from its book ending, fans would have rioted. The series has such an intense following that something as big as an ending swap wouldn't go unpunished, which is why it's good that Catherine Hardwicke protested the script ending of the film, which involved people chasing vampires on jet skis.

The original script also called for Bella Swan to be a track star, and while a movie about an athletic young woman is a great idea, that change would have also left fans livid. Bella's supposed to be awkward and clumsy. While on the stereotypical side,  this resonates for many teens with changing bodies experiencing the turbulence of adolescence.

7 Hurt: Cutting Rosalie's Desire To Have A Baby

In Eclipse, Rosalie's backstory is more deeply revealed, giving newcomers to the series more insight into the character. Like most of the Cullen family, Rosalie suffered intense heartache and harm before being changed into a vampire. Her fiance left her beaten, prompting Carlisle to save her by turning her. One of Rosalie's dearest desires was to become a parent, and although Carlisle was able to preserve her own life, he couldn't give her the means to become a mother.

In a deleted scene from Eclipse, we see Rosalie interact with another mother and her infant, foreshadowing her desire to raise Bella's child as her own. The scene both provides context and helps us connect with Rosalie better, so it's a shame it was cut.

6 Saved: Not Including Bella's awkward banter

In the first Twilight film, there's a very weird scene where Bella is exploring Edward's home and the subject of rain sticks comes up. Bella awkwardly reveals that not only did she have a homemade rain stick in her previous home, but that she and her mother created the craft project with the use of her pet chinchilla's excrement. It is beyond weird, not only because you can easily use lentils instead in this situation, but because it indicates that Bella and her mom used to enjoy playing with their pet's droppings.

We are so glad that this deleted scene didn't make it to the film.

5 Hurt: Reducing Bella's cooking skills

In the Twilight books, there's a great deal of focus on how much Bella eats or cooks for her father. It's mentioned at an almost annoying rate, but it's used to emphasize her humanity next to her vampire boyfriend and to show that there are some things that Bella is good at. When Bella mentions to her father that she can cook for him in the first film, it's a missed opportunity not only to show them bonding but to demonstrate her culinary skills, which could have been an interesting hobby for the teen.

It's not a huge scene in terms of plot or development, but it's a nice moment between Charlie and Bella that gives both characters a bit more connection and we're sad to have seen it deleted.

4 Saved: One Less "We Should Wait" Discussion

How many times does Edward insist that he and Bella not share a bed together based on his weird, outdated principles, notion that he either doesn't have a soul or is condemned to rot in Hell, or just the fact that he's a vampire who "can't control himself" and might harm her? It's an ongoing part of the series that makes a few fans roll their eyes. It's especially irritating once the two are married.

In Breaking Dawn: Part 1, there's a scene where Edward still insists that they should wait despite the fact that they are married. It's weird even by his puritanical standards. Bella's fulfilled his stipulations for their relationship and his new demands make no sense. It's a good thing that this scene fell to the editing room floor.

3 Hurt: Carlisle And Esme Kissing Scene Cut

Carlisle and Esme might have a weird backstory, given that he first met her when she was a teen and later saved her life to make her his wife, but the two really are one of the most stable couples in the series otherwise. They are the guiding forces behind the Cullen family, keeping the younger members out of trouble and ensuring that everyone is as happy as possible. They are the reason Bella was welcomed so warmly into their home.

There's a brief but sweet scene during the first film that depicts the pair kissing. They don't have many romantic moments like that in the series and a tiny shot of them sharing a kiss helps depict their love and how close they are.

2 Hurt: Charlie's parenting is erased

Charlie Swan is easily one of the most likable characters in the Twilight franchise. Although he has missed much of Bella's life due to the literal miles between them, he obviously desires to be a good father and puts her well-being first much better than her competing would-be boyfriends do because that's Dadding 101. But Charlie also has so many wonderful tender moments with his daughter that were deleted from many of the films, from trying to help her acclimate to Forks in Twilight to tenderly carrying her to bed in blanket when Edward leaves her in the woods.

While Charlie Swan has definitely still has many charming moments in the movies, many of his cut scenes would have enhanced his character and added more warmth to the film.

1 Hurt: Firing Catherine Hardwicke

If a director ever deserved a shot at making a sequel, it's Catherine Hardwicke. Not only was she given an extremely tight budget, but she also stood against critics who claimed the movie was a waste of time. After doing the books justice in the eyes of many fans due to her YA passion, Hardwicke blew every critic's mind at the box office.

Twilight made more than $60 million opening weekend alone, grossing over $192 million total. It's too bad that once it was revealed to be a cash cow, Hardwicke was let go. It was a slap in the face after she'd broken records and pushed for the success of a film others had deemed a failure, especially given how other directors in similar spots are rewarded for their efforts.
