Now that NeNe Leakes made her exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she is embarking on new business ventures. The former Bravo star has been teasing her new lounge, and fans are sharing their thoughts on the look of the place.
In September, NeNe took to her YouTube channel to announce her departure from RHOA. She is an OG cast member who has starred on the show since season one. But after failing to come to an agreement during contract negotiations with producers, NeNe opted to exit stage left after 13 years on the franchise. NeNe shared how emotional the journey has been for her, and even ended her friendship with Wendy Williams over her comments on the matter. Since leaving the show, NeNe has kept herself busy with new endeavors. Specifically, she teased the set of one unknown production she's working on, in addition to her new lounge.
NeNe's new bar in Atlanta, The Linnethia Lounge, is getting closer to its grand opening, and the Swagg Boutique owner has been teasing the new project on her IG Story. Fans of the star are aware of how long she has dreamed of opening up her own nightclub or event space, and it appears she is finally bringing it to life. The Shaderoom shared footage NeNe posted that showed off the interior of her upcoming lounge. The space includes round table sections along the walls, in addition to a stage where we're sure legendary performances will take place. After posting the clips, fans were quick to comment on the reality star's newest business. Take a look at the lounge below:
"Nene always been about her bag," wrote singer and fellow reality star Tamar Braxton. "Y’all was making fun of her for filming in some lounge when in fact it was HER own brand new lounge. Now that’s the gag." Another user added, "I know that’s right nene, multiple incomes." One fan applauded NeNe for taking lemons and making lemonade. "Regardless of what you think of her, she has taken her opportunities and made the most of them," they said. While many comments were supportive, there were some who wondered how successful the lounge would be amid the pandemic. "Probably not the best time… there’s still a pandemic going on," one commenter wrote.
All-in-all, Housewives fans were happy to see NeNe staying productive after her exit from the network. "I’m actually so proud of nene," one user added. "She left that show and started doing even bigger things than before. congrats to her." There's been no word on whether NeNe will return to television anytime soon.
