A cowboy walks into a saloon...

A cowboy walks into a saloon, goes to the bar, and orders a whiskey. Then he takes his colt from the holster and shoots all the bottles of whiskey at the bar with one bullet. He turns to the bartender and says: "They call me Colt-Bill".

The second cowboy comes, goes to the pool table, takes the cue in his hand, and hits all the balls with one blow. He turns to the other cowboys and says: "They call me Pool-Bill".

A third cowboy walks into a saloon, goes to the bar, and orders a beer. He holds a bottle of beer in his right hand. The confused bartender sees 6 fingers on it.

The cowboy takes a sip and says: "They call me Cherno-Bill".

Mark Hamill: 15 Characters You Didn't Know Were Voiced By Him

Mark Hamill will always be remembered for portraying Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films, but some fans may not know he is also a voice actor who has brought to life a variety of characters in other live-action movies, animated movies, TV shows, and even video games.

RELATED: 10 Actors You Didn’t Know Do Voice Work

Many fans are familiar with the fact that he voiced The Joker, going up against Batman in some of the most important episodes of Batman: The Animated Series. Mark Hamill's list of voice acting roles, though, goes on and on, extending past supervillains and the action genre. Surprisingly, many people don't know these characters' voices are credited to the one and only Mark Hamill.

Updated on June 30th, 2021 by Darby Harn: Mark Hamill's voice acting list continues to expand with new roles in upcoming animated series like the new Netflix He-Man series Masters Of The Universe: Revelations. As fans look forward to that, they can also check out many more animated and live-action roles Hamill has done in recent years. Though he's most famous for playing Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Hamill has actually voiced a number of roles in the recently completed Star Wars sequel trilogy.

15 Skeletor (Masters Of The Universe: Revelations)

Mark Hamill is voicing the role of Skeletor in the upcoming Masters Of The Universe: Revelations Netflix series by Kevin Smith. This adds another major iconic villain to his resume and should be a lot of fun for fans of both Hamill and the character. The first trailer for the animated series revealed that Hamill's voice acting clearly takes nods from Frank Welker's work on the original 80s Filmation animated cartoon, but he's adding his own unique take on the character.

14 Art Rosenbaum (Invincible)

Some fans may not be aware that Mark Hamill played Art Rosenbaum in the Invincible animated series on Amazon Prime. A relatively minor role, he's still fairly key to the story. Art Rosenbaum provides the costumes to the superheroes of the story, most notably Omni-Man, Nolan Grayson, the father of the main character Invincible. When Omni-Man takes in his costume for repairs after the shocking and fatal battle with the superhero team the Guardians of the Globe, Art's tailoring provides insights into their murder.

13 Boolio (The Rise Of Skywalker)

Luke Skywalker is not the only role Mark Hamill has played in live-action Star Wars. He actually voiced the character of Boolio, who has a brief appearance at the beginning of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. Boolio was an agent of the Resistance and provided Finn and Poe with information on the identity of a spy within the First Order, who ultimately turned out to be General Hux. While many fans debate the things that The Rise Of Skywalker got wrong or right, it's clear there can never be too much Mark Hamill in the franchise.

12 Dobbu Scay (The Last Jedi)

A minor character from Star Wars: The Last Jedi fans likely had no idea was Mark Hamill is Dobbu Scay. Dobbu Scay has a very small role in the casino on Canto Bight, but a memorable one. He drunkenly attempts to use BB-8 as a slot machine, which eventually leads to the droid firing coins at the bad guys as Rose and Finn escape.

RELATED: Kenner Colors Boba Fett (& 9 Other Star Wars Toys That Became Canon)

The tiny amphibian gambler is visible in other shots in the casino, including when the Fathiers, a creature the sequel trilogy introduced, stampeded through the streets of Canto Bight.

11 Arnim Zola (Ultimate Spider-Man)

One voice acting credit on the list of roles played by Mark Hamill that fans may not be aware of Arnim Zola. One of the most powerful Phase 1 MCU villains, Arnim Zola was also a major villain in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series. Zola's unique design, which has his face projected on a giant television screen in the middle of the chest of a massive android, is perfect for animation. Hamill was perfect for the role, playing him again in the Avengers Assemble animated series as well.

10 The Hobgoblin (Spider-Man: The Animated Series)

Voicing The Joker led to similar roles as supervillains for Hamill. For instance, in Spider-Man: The Animated Series from the early 90s, he played the super villain The Hobgoblin. Hamill added a number of animated super villains to his voice acting list with numerous Marvel shows in the 1990s. In the animated The Incredible Hulk series, he played the Gargoyle. In the animated Fantastic Four series, he was Maximus. And in the animated series Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, he was Klaw.

9 Corey Anders (Jeannie)

Hanna-Barbera is known for classic cartoons, and in 1973, this company put out one season of a series called Jeannie, an animated spin-off of the live-action classic series I Dream of Jeannie. This series was aimed at a much younger audience. In this story, instead of being found by an astronaut, Jeannie was rescued by a teenager, Corey Anders, who was voiced by Mark Hamill. This is actually Hamill's first-ever voice-acting role, according to the actor himself. The series only lasted for one season on CBS in 1973.

8 Fire Lord Ozai (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Avatar: The Last Airbender was on the air on Cartoon Network between 2005 and 2008. Hamill voiced the Fire Lord Ozai, ruler of the Fire Nation, and the primary villain of the series. He was a very powerful firebender and father to Zuko and Azula.

RELATED: 10 Unpopular Opinions About The Live-Action Avatar: The Last Airbender Series, According To Reddit

Fire Lord Ozai would ultimately be defeated and sentenced to prison for his actions, but his efforts left many scars in the world, including some that would only eventually become apparent in the sequel series, The Legend Of Korra.

7 Skeleton King (Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!)

Another evil character Hamill voiced was the Skeleton King in Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! This anime-style show focuses on five cyborg monkeys and a boy who fight to save the world from bad guys like this one. The Skeleton King did start off as a good guy, an alchemist whose curiosity eventually got the better of him. Despite the fact that Hamill's most notable role was Luke Skywalker, one of the good guys, he does seem to have a gift for voicing villains in animation.

6 Skips & Other Characters (Regular Show)

Between 2009 and 2017, Mark Hamill voiced a number of characters on Regular Show, which aired on Cartoon Network. Among the characters that Hamill voiced were Skips the groundskeeper. Skips is one of the main characters in the show, a giant immortal yeti who serves as the groundskeeper for The Park. Hamill voices other characters in the animated series as well, including a blue jay, who was named Mordecai, and a raccoon, who was named Rigby, and their misadventures sometimes featured others, such as Skips the groundskeeper.

5 The Joker (Robot Chicken)

Mark Hamill's most notable role outside of Luke Skywalker is arguably the Joker. Fans may not know he played him in many other media besides Batman: The Animated Series. He also voiced him in Robot Chicken, the iconic Adult Swim series. Hamill played the character, one of Batman's greatest villains in any medium, in numerous skits on the series. Hamill also provided the voices of many other characters in Robot Chicken, including Chuck E. Cheese and others.

4 skekTek (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance)

Hamill added to his impressive list of voice acting credits in 2019, when he voiced skekTek, The Scientist. He played a key role in the development of the evil Skeksis plot in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, a prequel to The Dark Crystal, the classic Jim Henson movie from 1982 which used only animatronic puppets for its cast. skekTek lost an eye in the series, but he was far from done plotting and scheming. Sadly, his efforts will go unrealized for the moment since the series has been canceled on Netflix.

3 Chucky (Child's Play)

This talented voice actor has even ventured into the horror genre, and in 2019 he portrayed a very iconic villain, Chucky. Hamill voiced the murderous doll in the reboot of the original 1988 horror classic Child's Play. The movie also starred Aubrey Plaza and Tim Matheson.

RELATED: 15 Actors With Very Deep Voices

Chucky is just one of many such tiny doll-killers in horror movies, but he's among the most famous. This is also one of Hamill's darkest roles in any medium, with Chucky a relentless murderer who can't seem to be stopped.

2 Master Eraqus (Kingdom Hearts)

Hamill also counts video games among his list of voice-acting roles. One particular series that he was involved in is Kingdom Hearts. He played Master Eraqus in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts III. He is a Keyblade Master from the Land of Departure in the games, a collaboration between Square Enix and Disney. Like Luke Skywalker, Eraqus is a powerful man committed to peace as well as passing on his knowledge to the next generation.

1 Narrator (Call Of Duty 2: Big Red One)

Hamill was the narrator in the video game Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. This role was key in the game because its format was presented like a documentary, comprised of individual chapters woven together. Those sections put Hamill’s voice front and center.

A unique but of trivia from this game is that Mark Hamill had starred in the 1980 movie The Big Red One written and directed by Samuel Fuller. Hamill played Private Griff, a young soldier who is shocked at the brutality of World War II.

What Zelda Game Should You Play First | Screen Rant

It's difficult to jump into any long-running franchise, and The Legend of Zelda is no exception. There are presently 17 mainline Zelda games, if Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages are counted as one game and if remasters and remakes are excluded. What's more, these 17 games span from 1989 (The Legend of Zelda) to 2017 (Breath of the Wild), so the franchise encompasses nearly the entire history of at-home console gaming. For the curious-yet-uninitiated, it can be intimidating to decide where to start. But, considering The Legend of Zelda is one of the most highly-regarded gaming franchises around, the series is absolutely worth exploring.

Which Zelda game someone should start with and which ones are practical to start with are, unfortunately, different. With a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, there will be six mainline Zelda games on the Switch as of July 2021. These do not include remasters of two of the series' most famous games (Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask) and a wonderful reimagining of a classic (A Link Between Worlds), which are all on the 3DS. Sadly, the 3DS was discontinued in 2020. Two other beloved games - Wind Waker and Twilight Princess - haven't been seen since the Wii U.

Related: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Link Fan Art Is Stunning

However, in the wide world of The Legend of Zelda, scarcity is an ally. There are few bad games in the series, so the ones which are readily available are easy to find for good reason. Nintendo dutifully remasters old Zelda games every few years, so there's wealth of excellent gaming to be had.

Breath of the Wild has earned a reputation among many players as one of the best games ever released, and for excellent reason. It's a gorgeous, enthralling game where the player can be enraptured by a seemingly endless thirst for adventure, as any nook or cranny of the game's huge map may contain a surprise. There is comedy, tragedy, sacrifice, and complex, memorable characters like Lady Urbosa and Mipha. Breath of the Wild guides the player beautifully without holding their hand too tightly, which many other Zelda entries are guilty of. But for a completely new player, who may be overwhelmed by the game's vast open world or simply does not want to sink 100 hours into their first Zelda game, there are other options.

For someone not just new to Zelda, but to gaming as a whole, Link's Awakening may be a better choice. The game takes an average of 20 or 30 hours to beat, so is much more approachable for the newcomer or casually curious. The 2019 Switch remaster of Link's Awakening is visually stunning and a pure joy to play. Link's Awakening has long-been considered one of the series' best games, and its narrative masterfully mixes playfulness with a mysterious, dark undertone. Plus, the gameplay offers a more "standard" Zelda experience than Breath of the Wild, for those wanting a snapshot of the series at large.

If someone still has their 3DS, the remastered version of Ocarina of Time is an optimal entry point for those primarily curious about Zelda lore and history. When it was released for the N64, Ocarina of Time was revolutionary for gaming as a whole, and it codified many series staples, such as Z-targeting. It's also responsible for splitting the Zelda timeline into three branches, arguably making it the most important game in the franchise from a lore perspective. However, Ocarina of Time isn't a good choice for anyone who wants the feel of a flashier, newer game.

Related: Every Zelda Game Available On Switch

Unfortunately, The Wind Waker has not been available since the Wii U. Wind Waker was the gateway for a generation of Zelda players, and its Great Sea is a small-scale predecessor to BOTW's open world. Wind Waker's cel-shaded style was controversial at first, but has grown to be beloved. A Wind Waker remaster for the Switch has been rumored, but Nintendo has said nothing.

For those with a Switch wanting to explore The Legend of Zelda for the first time, either Breath of the Wild or Link's Awakening would be an excellent choice, depending on the length of desired gameplay. Zelda has remained a deeply influential series, and as the release of Breath of the Wild 2 approaches, now is as good a time as any to jump on the paraglider.

The Flash: Every Main Villain, Ranked By Power | ScreenRant

Barry Allen has encountered a lot of powerful villains over the course of The Flash series on CW. Many of them are speedsters themselves, but some of the most powerful Flash villains don't have any connection to the Speed Force at all. Some of them challenge Barry Allen in different ways, including through strength and guile.

RELATED: 5 Similarities Between A-Train And The Flash (& 5 Differences)

Some of the most powerful versions of the Scarlet Speedster rank among his most powerful enemies. Others hail from different eras of DC Comics and even different franchises. But all of them have one thing in common. These Flash villains have all pushed Barry Allen and his friends to the breaking point time and again.

Updated on June 30th, 2021 2021 by Darby Harn: With The Flash DCEU movie ramping up production, rumors indicate the Reverse-Flash may be the villain of the movie. The iconic supervillain would be a great choice for The Flash's first solo movie, as he's one of the most powerful Flash villains out there. There are many other villains who could play a role, however, and some are more powerful than others. The villains from the CW The Flash series provide a roadmap not just for the movies but for fans wondering who has what it takes to take on the fastest man alive.

13 King Shark

King Shark is one of the most physically strong characters in The Flash television series though lacking in the special abilities that some of the series' more powerful villains have. Half-man and half-Great White Shark, Shay Lamden has superhuman strength, speed, and durability, all of which he used against The Flash. He also has a healing factor which makes him very difficult to injure.

King Shark is typically a villain but has had some wholesome moments in the comics. That's led to his somewhat humorous portrayal in the Harley Quinn HBO Max series and the upcoming The Suicide Squad movie.

12 Captain Cold

Comic book fans know The Flash has many classic villains. Captain Cold is one of them, and one of the most powerful in the Arrowverse. Leonard Snart uses advanced technology in his cold gun, which allows him to freeze things and people at will. But other more classically superpowered foes rank higher in terms of overall power.

He is also extremely intelligent, an expert martial artist, and has a super high tolerance to pain, especially to cold temperatures. Captain Cold started off as a Flash villain in season one before eventually becoming part of the Legends Of Tomorrow crew.

11 Heat Wave

Heat Wave was originally one of the strongest characters among the Legends Of Tomorrow but has since lost the majority of his abilities. Mick Rory had the power of pyrokinesis, which allowed him to shoot fire blasts at people. He was also essentially immortal, with his powers coming from the ancient Fire Totem.

He started off as a Flash villain before evolving into one of the heroes and main characters of the Legends Of Tomorrow series, thanks to the magic of the multiverse concept in the series.

10 Cicada I

Orlin Dwyer became a metahuman during the event known as the "Enlightenment" when he was hit with a shard of the STAR Labs satellite that contained dark matter. The experience gave him enhanced strength, the ability to fly, and a connection to another lightning-shaped dagger also from the satellite that negates the powers of any nearby metahumans with powers that came from Dark Matter.

RELATED: 10 Things Only Comic Fans Know About Sara Lance

Dwyer can control the dagger telekinetically, calling it back to him like a boomerang and making it so that he's the only one that can use it. Using it he was able to take away the powers of The Flash, Vibe, and Elongated Man. Due to Frost's powers not coming from Dark Matter, she was the only member that posed a real threat to him, even with the dagger.

9 Cicada II

Grace Gibbons was the niece of Orlin Dwyer who was raised by her uncle and was with him during the night of the "Enlightenment," getting a shard of dark matter metal stuck in her head. In a future timeline, a grown-up Grace takes on the mantle and carries on Orlin's legacy as the second Cicada.

Grace had the same abilities as the original but was much more deadly and could use the dagger to set specific individuals as targets and hit them from any distance. She was only stopped when Team Flash convinced her younger self to take the metahuman cure, preventing her existence.

8 Bloodwork

After watching his mother die from HLH, Ramsey Rosso created and injected himself with an experimental cure for the disease which bonded with Dark Matter which resulted in him becoming a metahuman with the ability to control and manipulate blood.

He can bring people back from the dead as zombies to do his bidding and is capable of mind control. He was temporarily able to successfully infect Barry, granting Ramsey full control over his abilities. He can also transform himself into a gigantic creature made of blood making him even more of a physical threat.

7 Mirror Master

Eva McCollough was a widely recognized CEO before she was thrown into the mirrorverse and was presumed dead. After being trapped inside of the dimension for six years and attempting to escape thousands of times, she finally freed herself after bringing Iris into the dimension. As a result of being trapped there, Eva developed the ability to control mirrors.

She can also create mirror clones of characters that are stuck in the mirrorverse, as she does with Kamill, Iris, and Captain Singh, which serve her and can carry out missions on her behalf. She also has a suit that has arms that can turn into blasters and can use mirrors as teleportation portals. Thanks to her many powers and Barry's depleted speed, she was able to defeat him, Team Flash, and succeed in killing her husband.

6 Killer Frost

Killer Frost is one of the most powerful Flash villains in the comics and in the Arrowverse. She has numerous powers in common with Mr. Freeze, including a somewhat tragic backstory. Killer Frost can absorb latent energy from objects and people and use it to dramatically lower the temperature of her surroundings.

RELATED: The 5 Most (& 5 Least) Realistic Storylines On The Flash

She can create objects out of ice, project cold mist and air, and also emit an ice-cold breath. As if that weren't enough, she can also fly by generating thrust thanks to generating a blast of cold air, though other villains with more mind or speed-based abilities rank higher in terms of ppwer.

5 The Thinker

Clifford DeVoe was wearing the "Thinking Cap," a helmet-like device that was designed to make the wearer more intelligent, during the particle accelerator explosion which caused his intelligence to be highly increased. He was able to answer some of history's greatest questions but was also still confined to a wheelchair due to his ALS.

He also gave himself several power increases by absorbing the powers of the twelve metahumans that were exposed to Dark Matter while on the bus, including Ralph Dibney. Among many other things, he was granted elasticity, technopathy, portal creation, and size alteration. He outsmarted Team Flash at almost every turn and was only ultimately defeated by both Barry and Ralph from inside of his mind.

4 Savitar

Savitar was revealed to be a time remnant of Barry Allen that split off and lived a life of its own before eventually becoming corrupted. In addition to traditional speedster abilities, Savitar also has a metallic suit of armor that gave him several advantages over the original Flash.

The armor is extremely durable and was able to deflect bullets and resist hits from Barry, Wally, and Killer Frost. It also contains two hidden blades in the wrists of the suit which were shown to be the only thing that could damage it. However, without the suit, he was no stronger than the others which allowed Iris to shoot and kill him.

3 Grodd

Grodd is a silverback gorilla experimented on by the scientists at S.T.A.R Labs and transformed into one of the most powerful Flash villains in the series. Imbued with telepathic powers beyond imagination, Grodd is able to take control of people's minds as well as defend himself from the telepathic attacks of others.

RELATED: The 5 Tallest (& 5 Shortest) Actors In The Flash Cast

Grodd is also incredibly strong and durable, among the most physically strong characters in the Arrowverse. He was also able to briefly take advantage of Barry Allen's Speed Force powers by accessing his mind, making him incredibly powerful.

2 Zoom

Hunter Zolomon was a serial killer on Earth-2 that gained access to the speed force while going through electroshock therapy, granting him superspeed. After making a name for himself on Earth-2, he then moved to Earth-1 to continue his reign of terror while pretending to be an ally to the team.

Despite having the same powers, Hunter was seemingly more experienced than Barry, even teaching him how to throw lightning while posing as Jay Garrick. After being defeated by Barry and the team, Zoom was transformed by the time wraiths into the creature known as the Black Flash. As a result, he got a power increase, allowing him to drain people of their life force and turning them into corpses with just a touch, something that was even able to even terrify Eobard Thawne.

1 Reverse-Flash

The Reverse-Flash is one of The Flash's best villains in the Arrowverse and in the comics. He got his powers of superspeed by recreating the accident that gave Barry his but unlike most speedsters who are connected to the speed force, Thawne has a connection to the Negative Speed Force which he created.

He has the same abilities as Barry but was significantly more experience with them since he was the one that trained Barry while pretending to be Harrison Wells. However, after years of being the Flash, Barry is on the same level as him and most of their battles end in draws.

Ma daughters a wee gifted shite like Matilda.

Was listening in on her last night and she was saying prayers, goodnight mommy, goodnight daddy, goodnight Grandpa, goodbye Grandma.

I had to ask her why she said goodbye to Grandma, she said it felt right. Thinking of nothing of it, the next day I get a phone call. Grandma was killed when Mary from the home stabbed her with a crotchet needle.

Little spooked, was my daughter gifted? Nah probably a coincidence, decided to listen in again. She mentioned no one dying for a solid week, then one night during prayers she says, goodnight mum, goodnight dad, goodbye grandpa!

Rather than asking her, I assumed the worst and sure thing Grandpa died of an overdose of viagra the next day, poor bastard died hard, anyways now I knew my demon spawn was gifted I started to panic, sure enough another week goes away, no goodbyes for another solid week, the next one threw me for a fright.

Goodnight mommy, goodbye daddy. FUCK ! okay now I was panicked, dit sleep or eat or anything. Decided to go into the office and work all day, nothing happens al day, it gets late so I decided to go home, when I got home my wife was in distress, I tell her to calm down I’ve had a bad day, she tells me it’s hit up her day is worse, today the mailman dropped dead unexpectedly......

One of the most popular and beloved shonen anime of all time, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden paved the way for a new generation of viewers to enjoy the stories of Konoha as its Jinchuriki ended up on a quest to save the entire shinobi world from annihilation... and his best friend from himself.

So, it's a given that one of the best parts of the best episodes of the long-running series would be the likable characters, and Naruto definitely doesn't falter in that aspect. From the eponymous protagonist himself to his long line of friends and enemies — Naruto is full to the brim with some of the greatest characters of any fictional medium, with their stories propelled forward through both individual narrative arcs and the overarching story. That being said, some characters in Naruto do enjoy better character development and stories as compared to others, so how are the main characters ranked just by their arcs?

Updated on June 30th, 2021 by Amanda Bruce: Part of the reason the Naruto main characters go through some intense character development is because of the time range in the franchise. Through Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, the audience is able to see the teen years of the titular character and his friends as they go to war for their world. Large numbers of flashbacks and filler episodes in the anime mean that the adult characters are also more fully fleshed out than they might have been in the original manga series. Of course, it's still true that some of the Naruto main characters get more screen time devoted to them than others, which leads to more stories and more character development.

15 Sakura Haruno

Most fans could easily predict that Sakura would be near the very bottom of Naruto characters ranked according to their arc, which is a shame since this character definitely had a ton of potential. From hints at her propensity for genjutsu and her desire to be a better shinobi, there were a lot of moments that made the audience believe she would get quite a bit of character development.

However, with the increased focus on other characters — especially Naruto and Sasuke — Sakura and her character arc ended up fading into obscurity in order to make way for other people and their stories.

14 Ino Yaminaka

Ino is very much a supporting character. Unlike Sakura and Sasuke, she's not often part of Naruto's main storyline. That means the audience isn't always privy to her potential character development.

When the series begins, however, she's very much seen as someone who is shallow and more concerned with her appearance than her skills. While she does continue to put a lot of stock in her appearance, she also cares deeply for the people around her, and she commits to not only learning her family's mind control jutsu, but also mastering medical ninja skills. Ino slowly becomes someone that everyone can count on, even if she does remain very insecure.

13 Neji Hyuga

Neji takes his role as a shinobi in training very seriously. He doesn't initially think it's fair that his cousin Hinata gets so much attention for her part in the main Hyuga family when she appears to be significantly less skilled than him.

Neji's biggest moment of character development occurs following the Chunin Exams. Though he nearly kills his cousin during their one-on-one match, he comes to understand just how wrong his actions were. Neji becomes one of Hinata's biggest supporters and a much better team player as the result of his talk with Hinata's father. By the events in the episodes of Naruto Shippuden, he's willing to sacrifice himself to save her.

12 Hashirama Senju

While Hashirama is not one of the Naruto main characters, a lot of his impact is seen throughout the anime. The first Hokage is easily one of the more likable people on the entire show, with his will for justice and fairness ending up being a salient feature of his character that governed pretty much all of his actions as an individual.

While the manner of his passing is something that has been a fairly massive plot hole in Naruto, the rest of his character is written rather seamlessly and ends up forming the perfect half of a story with his eternal rival.

11 Obito Uchiha

For the longest time, Obito was easily a fascinating antagonist, and fans couldn't wait until they finally uncovered the backstory of Kakashi's friend... only to realize just how horrible it really was.

There's absolutely no solid reason as to why Obito betrayed the Leaf Village and ended up formulating such a diabolical plan, in the first place. The motivation that he loved Rin and didn't want to live in a world without her still doesn't explain the anger he held towards his friend... especially since he'd already realized that it wasn't Kakashi's fault that she'd passed away.

10 Madara Uchiha

Even in death, Madara didn't stop thinking about his plans, which is a testament to just how diabolical and stubborn this member of the Uchiha really is.

Madara is a fascinating character who shows just how trivial ambition and hatred really can be. He could've easily been the final antagonist of Naruto — and a rather compelling one indeed — but Kishimoto simply had to shoehorn Kaguya in order to drive the stakes even higher. It's a move that ultimately backfired since Madara could've easily been the most imposing challenge faced by Naruto and Sasuke instead.

9 Gaara

Casually cruel and believing himself better than any other students at the Chunin Exams, Gaara has an attitude that's initially shared by his siblings when they compete. It doesn't take more than a fight with Naruto for Gaara to begin to shift and grow.

Like Naruto, Gaara grew up with everyone around him being afraid of him. Unlike Naruto, Gaara also grew up being treated as a weapon by his people. His experiences made him angry and unable to control the tailed beast inside of him. Fighting Naruto, or more accurately, Naruto extending his hand in friendship instead of outright fighting him, helped Gaara to accept himself and begin developing real friendships.

8 Jiraiya

Pervy Sage might not have made the greatest impression during the early goings in Naruto, but it's his enduring appeal and charming personality that ultimately turned him into one of the highlights of the Naruto main characters.

The bond he makes with the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is a beautiful one indeed... making it all the more heartbreaking to see Naruto's reaction when he's informed of Jiraiya's passing at the hands of Pain.

7 Minato Namizake

Like Hashirama, Minato has a huge presence throughout the show despite not being around much. Naruto's father was an enigma for the longest time... making the reveal of the Fourth Hokage as his father all the more satisfying, as a result.

The fact that this reveal happened in the middle of the Pain fight when Naruto had lost all control made this moment all the more heartwarming, with the subsequent fleshing out of Minato's character further proving as to why he's probably the best out of all four Hokages... at the time, at least.

6 Konohamaru Sarutobi

Konohamaru is one of the few recurring characters introduced to the audience as a child. He's immature, obsessed with getting his grandfather's attention, and a little selfish. Initially seeing Naruto as a rival, Konohamaru makes it his mission to "attack" him every chance he gets.

Konohamaru's growth begins when his grandfather's life is on the line to defend the village. Still a young boy, Konohamaru steps up to help other villagers evacuate. He also begins to train in earnest when his grandfather is killed by Orochimaru. Konohamaru grows up to be a committed shinobi trusted with training Naruto's own son.

5 Shikamaru Nara

Everybody's favorite slacker, Shikamaru has no interest in responsibility or hard work when the series begins. It's a shame because he also happens to be the smartest person in the franchise.

As informs a change in most of the characters in the series, Shikamaru experiences real tragedy when he first loses his sensei, and later, his father. The heavy losses and the reality of going to war make Shikamaru change his outlook on life. He throws himself into his work and becomes an advisor to the Hokage. During the events of the war, he's still a teenager, but he's Lady Tsunade's right hand when it comes to strategy.

4 Kakashi Hatake

If this examined the Naruto characters ranked according to their cool factor, Kakashi would be at the top. He's one of Naruto's best teachers, and becomes a big influence on the title character. Kakashi is an extremely important character whose motivations and story remain hidden for a long time... making their reveals all the more captivating as a result.

From the extremely sad story of his father to the tragic tale of his squad — Kakashi had it rough from an early age, making his redemption arc all the more satisfying to witness in Naruto.

3 Sasuke Uchiha

Of course, it would be impossible to rank the character arcs of the main players of Naruto and not mention the teenager who succumbs to an everlasting need for attaining power and almost loses himself in the process... only to regain his senses as the series progresses.

Sasuke is one of the best characters on the show, showing a rather human side to his darker nature that made quite a lot of people sympathize with him.

2 Naruto Uzumaki

Amongst the Naruto main characters, the titular character is also one of the most compelling. For viewers, it's almost like Naruto grew up as they did... quite literally! Initially coming off as a complete buffoon who couldn't apply his mind for even the simplest of things, Naruto's growth into a mature, sensible, and extremely powerful ninja is the perfect arc for people who've stuck with the Shinobi since his less-than-flattering roots.

Watching him rise to the occasion every single time and becoming the Hokage is easily the most satisfying part of the entire series.

1 Itachi Uchiha

There's really one particular character that deserves being named the character with the best arc. For the longest time, there was no denying that Itachi was the absolute lowest of the low when it came to ranking antagonists in the world of Naruto. Sasuke's thirst for vengeance came after Itachi's horrible act when he killed the entire clan and left Sasuke as the sole survivor. Sasuke's need to gain power was the result of wanting to best Itachi and kill him.

However, after his death, the truth about Itachi is revealed — he was actually a double agent for Konoha who had to eliminate the clan since they were planning to riot and kill hundreds of innocents. The selflessness and moral code needed to complete such a task was immense, but Itachi rose up to the occasion... while simultaneously becoming one of the greatest characters in Naruto.
