Laurel Goldman took a trip to Utah and finally reunited with her Love Island USA season 2 boyfriend Carrington Rodriguez. It's been over a month since the second season of the American Love Island came to an end. At the finale, couple Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew were voted by the public to take home the $100,000 grand prize and split the money. Cely Vazquez and Johnny Middlebrooks came in second place, and Moira Tumas and Calvin Cobb placed third. This means that Carrington and Laurel came in last place, but it's still a big deal that they got to the finale together.
Since Love Island USA ended, the season 2 islanders have been doing their best to get together and manage their long-distance relationships. Of note, Mackenzie Dipman and Connor Trott have been one of the most solid couples after the show despite being dumped at different points in the season. Following his elimination, Connor traveled straight to see Mackenzie and they've been inseparable ever since. In Justine and Caleb's case, they've gotten to see each other as much as possible, but their jobs are keeping them in different coasts. This is also true for Johnny and Cely, who have gotten together a few times but are still living separately.
This week, Laurel Goldman and Carrington Rodriguez finally reunited after their journey on Love Island USA came to an end. The fans had been wondering for some time if they were still together and if they had any plans to meet up, and that finally happened. Laurel took a trip to Utah, where Carrington lives, to see him. On Instagram, Laurel has shared a few Instagram Stories (seen below) featuring her beau. In a particular IG Story, it seems like Carrington gifted Laurel a pursue. As of this writing, Laurel and Carrington have yet to post any picture or video together to their Instagram grids.
It's always hard for a couple formed on a dating show like Love Island to figure out how they will make things work in the real world. After all, they have careers, families, friends, and other responsibilities back home, and odds are that the person that they met lives elsewhere. Aside from all the normal obstacles that come with moving to a new city and/or managing a long-distance relationship, these season 2 islanders have to deal with all of it while facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
The fans should be patient with the Love Island USA cast as they try to figure things out at their own pace. As always, the fandom should also wish whatever is best for these people - whether that is moving forward as a couple or as individuals.
