After Thursday night's crazy end to Clare Crawley's love story with Dale Moss on The Bachelorette, the couple is now having to defend their whirlwind engagement.
Their love story began before the pair even met, at least for Clare. She revealed in her last episode how during the coronavirus quarantine she would often look at Dale's social media and think to herself how this is a man she could see herself ending up with. When the two finally met and Dale stepped out of the limo, it was an instant connection for the both of them. Clare knew that Dale was the one she wanted to call her husband.
Clare and Dale took to Instagram Live last night to discuss their time on the show and how they are doing post-show. According to Us Weekly, Clare, 39, and Dale, 32, used their time on the platform to show fans just how in love they are and to defend themselves against the haters. Some even commented how they would not last more then three months, to which Clare replied,“I’d like to say pay up because we just had our three-month anniversary! … The amount of hate, you guys, is insane," she said of the rude comment. Even though they realized their engagement would get some hate, Clare and Dale wanted to let their fans know how they appreciated the love and support.
Despite only knowing each other for a short period of time, the couple are still learning new things about each other everyday. Clare found out a hilarious revelation about Dale; that he farts. They honeymoon phase is always the most interesting part of a relationship.
The newly engaged couple confirmed that they have been spending most of their time together and even started house hunting. Before they make any rash decisions, the couple wants to "to secure the place” before making a definite purchase. Buying a house together is a huge step when committing to a relationship. On Thursday's episode of the show, Clare declared she was in love with Dale and only him after meeting just two weeks earlier. Dale reciprocated the same feelings for Clare and got down on one knee to propose to her. “Put that ring on my finger, I’ve waited a lot of years for this,” Clare said to her new fiance, while also calling herself Clare Moss. Now that the couple is no longer in hiding, they are excited to enjoy this moment together. “We’ve been waiting a long time...Love wins, always,” Dale added.
While many may not approve of such a fast engagement, Clare and Dale are clearly very happy and they do not want anyone raining on their parade. Although no one knows what the future holds, fans should be celebrating their declarations of love. Congratulations to the happy couple!
The Bachelorette airs Tuesdays at 8 pm EST on ABC.
