Is 90 Day FiancĂ©: Happily Ever After? star Mike Youngquist messing with Natalie Mordovtseva out of spite? After seven months of an unsuccessful attempt at married life, Mike and Natalie signed on for Happily Ever After? season six. But nothing seems to have changed for the couple, who still seem to be dealing with the same old problems of miscommunication, infidelity, and problems with Mike's family and friends. However, after being left traumatized by Mike and Natalie’s plot for so long, a TLC viewer on Reddit seems to have figured out what really happened between the couple all this time.
The rumors of Natalie and Mike’s separation were well-publicized on the internet after 90 Day FiancĂ© fan-favorite Uncle Beau spilled the tea. Not only did Uncle Beau deny all the baby rumors, but he also revealed Natalie had been staying away in Seattle from Mike for several months. On seeing Natalie's Instagram of her frolicking in Florida, fans arrived at the conclusion that Natalie had been green card-hungry all along, and may have used her marriage to Mike to obtain one. Some linked her to a mystery man as well, but Natalie didn't confirm or deny the rumors and instead showed off her new plastic surgery-enhanced body online.
Seeing Natalie and Mike’s behavior lately, A 90 Day FiancĂ© viewer on Reddit called MaxwellLordIV reasoned that, at the start, Michael “genuinely liked” Natalie. But, the user said, he also saw the show as a chance to pay off his $30k debt acquired after buying the farm. While Mike truly wanted to bring Natalie to the US, she ended up breaking his heart by tossing his ring. By the time he was back in America, “he was done with Natalie and the show.” But amidst the almost breakup, Natalie’s visa was approved. Mike, who was no longer interested in their relationship, may have been offered “a pay rise if he marries” by TLC. Meanwhile, Natalie obviously wanted to be on TV.
The fan wondered if Mike’s friend, Matt, and his wife Svetlana, who was Natalie’s bestie from Ukraine, refused to be part of the fake relationship storyline. “He struggles along, but her constant insults piss him off more and more,” the 90 Day FiancĂ© fan wrote, also adding that Mike’s nonchalance through season eight may have hurt Natalie too. “By the end he decides the money isn't worth it, so he calls off the wedding,” the fan speculated, and also added this may have prompted TLC to give another pay raise to Mike. The fan reasons that TLC may have assured Mike that “divorce will be easy to take care of” by making Natalie stay elsewhere so he wouldn’t have to deal with her “outside recording hours.”
This may have convinced Mike to finally marry Natalie in the 90 Day FiancĂ© season eight finale, which explains why he’s been in a happy mood on HEA so far, even though the “disdain” towards her stays. The fan also mentions they think this is Mike and Natalie’s final season together since she’s supposed to move on to The Single Life. Meanwhile, fans in the comments questioned if Natalie being an actress in the past is helping her act through the scenes as well. However, a different comment notes that since Natalie flung his ring on season 7, Mike may have “had a plan of revenge to try and humiliate her back” all along.
