This horror-thriller is a sequel to V/H/Sand this one tells the story of a two investigators searching for a missing student. In his house, they find a collection of VHS tapes - except each tape has dark and horrific content.

This sequel scored a 6.0/10 on IMDb, and is probably one of the lesser known horror movies out there. However, it still remains one of the highest-rated of the decade, and is a series that real fans of the genre should definitely binge.

9 Happy Death Day 2U (2019) - 6.2

This 2019 sequel came out two years after the original. This mystery horror offers a comedic spin on the genre, and follows a man who is dying over and over again. With each death, it becomes more dangerous and more horrifying.

8 My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 2 (2010) - 6.2

Premiering on the cusp of the decade, this is another horror franchise that isn't as popular as some of the others on this list. This drama horror also offers a comedic take, and follows murders that take place at a Rollerdome.

In the first flick, Skye Rotter is faced with a serial killer who kills her father. In this movie, she moves in with the mother who abandoned her - until their life is shaken up by the same killer. This movie is comedic and terrifying, and is one of the best sequels of the 2010s.

7 The Purge: Anarchy (2014) - 6.4

This horror series has a brilliant concept: for 24 hours a year, all crime is legal. This sequel follows the same premise, but follows three different groups of people who find their lives intertwined on Purge Night.

This flick did surprisingly well considering the first one seemed to disappoint fans of the genre. With a 6.4, this movie held up this brilliant idea, and there have been two more installments since.

6 Creep 2 (2017) - 6.4

This thriller-horror flick follows a video artist in search of work. She drives to a remote house in the forest to meet a man who claims to be a serial killer and spends the day with him. However, this soon becomes a horrific mistake.

It seems like that's a pretty obvious mistake, but this sequel did pretty well for a movie of this genre with a 6.4/10 on IMDb. For true fans of the genre, this niche series is totally worth binging.

5 Annabelle: Creation (2017) - 6.5

This franchise is a spin-off of the well-known series, The ConjuringThis is the sequel to the first Annabelle film and scored a pretty impressive 6.5/10 on IMDb.

This movie takes place 12 years after the death of a couple's young daughter. They take in a nun and several orphan girls into their home, where they all become the target of the husband's possessed creation. Fans of this genre are obsessed with this creepy doll, and there are definitely more flicks to come.

4 Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013) - 6.6

This horror movie is one of the most popular flicks of the genre, and actually has as pretty recognizable cast for a thriller flick. With Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne, this sequel heads back to the Lamberts' house, where they discover they haven't defeated all of the spirits.

3 IT: Chapter Two (2019) - 6.6

This classic and iconic Stephen King novel was finally brought back to the big screen in 2019. Taking place 27 years after the original, the Losers Club is all grown up, but they are all brought back to meet Pennywise once again.

With Jessica Chastain, Jame McAvoy, Bill Hader, and Bill Skarsgard, this flick was the modern version of this terrifying story, that definitely had fans of this original flick and novel in total awe.

2 The Conjuring 2 (2019) - 7.3

The Conjuring and Annabelle have dominated the horror genre. This sequel to the original franchise scored an impressive 7.3/10 on IMDb. Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) travel to London, where a single mother is raising four children in a home with an evil spirit.

This movie is equally as horrifying as the first, and is a sequel that certainly deserves the silver medal for being the best of the decade. No horror movie fan hasn't seen this series, and it should certainly be binged before any other sequel is seen.

1 Doctor Sleep (2019) - 7.4

This sequel is another Stephen King novel that finally came back to the big screen years after the first part. Every horror movie fan has seen The Shiningand this sequel is an extension of this infamous tale of horror.

Starring Ewan McGregor as Dan Torrance, who is now an adult, this flick follows him as he tries to protect a young girl from a cult who prey on children with powers. This is a classic horror movie and Stephen King novel and deserves the top spot as the best horror movie sequel of the decade.
