Until Howard Wolowitz met Bernadette Rostenkowski, lady luck never really smiled upon him. He kept trying to pursue women, cashing his bar mitzvah bonds in the process. He once dressed up for a goth night club to pick up women, brought escorts to formal parties and he crashed his Mars Rover. Howard has done some of the most bizarre things to get a girl. Not to mention the one-liners he used on Penny. Cheesecake scented goddess, hello?
It's only fair to acknowledge Howard and Bernadette are soul mates. But just for fun, there are other women in The Big Bang Theory he could have been with. Those relationships, however, would have turned out to be vastly different, than what he had with Bernadette.
10 Christy Vanderbel
As soon as Penny announced she was having a girl over from Nebraska, Howard rushed into her apartment. Christy and Howard were all over Penny's apartment. Howard used her loofah to exfoliate Christy's brains right out!
Christy was using Howard for money. But the boy didn't mind it. I mean, she'd taken off her blouse and he'd wept. Match made in heaven! Howard was happy with her, guess that's all that mattered, back then. She was the exact kind of girlfriend that Howard needed. No wonder, he took her shopping in Beverly Hills by cashing his bar mitzvah bonds.
9 Katee Sackhoff
Katee Sackhoff is a manifestation of Howard's fantasies. She plays Captain Kara Thrace on Battlestar Galatica. She appeared in Howard's dreams as a part of his fantasies.
Granted, this wasn't an actual relationship. But hey, whatever floats Howard's boat! We are talking of many moons ago, before Howard was happily married to the love of his life. Howard said he found Bernadette nice and everything, but he thought he'd always settle down with Meghan Fox from Transformers or Katee Sackhoff. If he hadn't met Bernadette, he'd keep meeting with Katee every night.
8 Leslie Winkle
Leslie Winkle seemed unimpressed by almost everyone. But she found Howard's jokes funny. She did give him an LOL once. Leslie and Howard were on friendly terms with each other. More like you scratch my back, I scratch yours. In "The Cushion Saturation," Leslie and Howard were left alone in a shed. Leslie suggested they make every moment count by proceeding to kiss Howard. Why on Earth would Sir Howard of Wolowitz reject her advances? Howard forgot to cover his friends and continued with the kiss, saying "War is hell."
Leslie got Howard the approval for the rapid prototyper. They just fit in together, they worked at the same place. Not to imagine what Leslie's inclusion would have done to the gangs' paradigm. She had a history with Leonard, and Sheldon hated her.
7 Ramona Nowitzki
"That's right honey have another Calzone, daddy can wait," said Howard to one from the new crop of female grad students. One of these, Ramona came up to their table to talk to Sheldon.
Howard got up the table, introduced himself as the co-designer of the International Space Station’s Liquid Waste Disposal System. He went on and on about how the Pishkin-Wolowitz Liquid Waste Disposal System was turning a few heads. Ramona didn't want Sheldon's company, she just wanted to share credit with him for the Cooper Theorem. Howard would have gladly agreed to something like that. Ramona had knocked on the wrong door.
6 Stephanie Barnett
If Howard can exhibit the ability to pick up women using an eye patch. Know the girl is a keeper. Howard picked by Stephanie Barnett at a club, by offering to take her to visit a secret government facility. He made her an offer she wouldn't reject. Unfortunately, Howard got the Rover stuck in a ditch, so the whole thing had to be called off. Stephanie left with Leonard.
Howard let a strange woman from honky-tonks come in and play with $200million government projects on distant planets! He wanted to introduce her to his mother. His cousins from Fort Lauderdale were coming too. A doctor and an aerospace engineer- match made in heaven!
5 Missy
Howard was obsessed with Missy the moment he laid eyes on her. He'd followed her from the parking lot to Sheldon's office. Missy Cooper came to visit Sheldon in "The Porkchop Indeterminacy." She was there to drop off some papers for Shelly to sign for their dad’s estate. Howard couldn't stop himself from hitting on her. He called her words such as delightfully droll, and Tres Drole. Howard would have done anything in his capacity to win over Missy.
Howard: "Is it ‘cause I’m Jewish, ‘cause I’d kill my Rabbi with a pork chop to be with your sister."
Howard fought his best friends over Missy. What if Missy had reciprocated? What if she'd been unconcerned with the fact Howard was a tiny, tiny man who still lived with his mother. Put in Mrs. Wolowitz and Mary Cooper in the equation, it would have made for fantastic episodes.
4 Little Lalita Gupta
We all saw how smooth Howard was when he spoke to Lalita Gupta. Lalita grew in the same neighborhood as Raj. The Koothrappali's wanted Raj to marry her. Neither Raj nor she was ready to make any such commitment. So when Raj couldn't call her due to his pathological shyness, Howard placed the call as Raj.
Howard: "Hello Lalita, Raj Koothrappali. Yes, it is good to talk to you too. So, what are you wearing? Oh, not important, so, anyhow, when would you like to meet. Friday works for me. And I call you with the time and place, but in the meantime, keep it real babe."
Howard learned how to pick up Indian chicks, thanks to Sheldon's tête-à -tête with Lalita. Imagine if Lalita would have left with Howard instead of Sheldon. The girl from New Delhi and the Jewish man from California. That equation would have rocked.
3 Emily Sweeney
Howard met Emily for the first time in "The Relationship Diremption." Emily came as Raj's date. Howard seemed familiar to Emily. Turns out, she indeed did. They were set up on a blind date, four years ago. He'd spent twenty minutes in her bathroom, finished a roll of toilet paper. He'd snuck out of the bathroom without an explanation and never seen her again. Howard earned himself the nickname, Clogzilla.
But what if Howard hadn't messed up his first date? There's a chance he could have been with Emily. Imagine what Emily's love for gore would have done to Howard.
2 Summer Glau
On Sheldon's insistence, the gang takes a train to San Francisco in "The Terminator Decoupling." Summer Glau is onboard the same train. She's the actual actress from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The gang is amused to find her riding the train. Howard thinks taking the train was a stroke of brilliance. He's actually got a shot with Summer.
Howard introduced himself as the small package good things come in. After he creeped her out, he goes for broke and asks her out. If it wasn't for Howard's creepy advances, he could have gotten himself a date with Summer Glau. An astronaut and an actress would have made a power couple.
1 Jeanie
Cousin Jeanie was mentioned by Howard by a couple of times in the past. We finally got to see her in "The Prom Equivalency." She was Stuart's date to the prom party on the roof. As Jeanie sat with everyone else in the Limo, she dragged Howard's past in front of everyone. A long time ago, Jeanie and Stuart slept with each other. Stuart comforted Howard by saying they were only second cousins and it was okay what had happened. Howard almost killed Stuart for humping way up to his family tree. If Howard was cool with his and Jeanie's Corolla business, who are we to judge? Howard dating his second cousin was all that we needed to spice things up in The Big Bang Theory.
