Wyvern Riding is just one of the many ways the game introduces new mechanics to the series. Here is how players can mount monsters.
In order to mount monsters, players will first need to get said monster in a mountable state. There are a few ways for players to accomplish this.
- Puppet Spiders: This is an Endemic Life that will instantly put a monster into a mountable state. Players will be able to find them scattered around the map. Just add them to your inventory and you should be good to go.
- Silkbind and Wire Bug Aerial Attacks: Continue to use both Silkbind and Wirebug attacks to weaken the enemy and increase its chances of falling into a mountable state.
- Monster vs. Monster: Players can use the environments to pit monsters against one another. When they fight, one of the monsters will fall into a mountable state.
Now that it's ready to be mounted, just approach the creature and choose the prompt. Now, players will be able to explore the rest of the map for a short while on the back of the said creature. It may take a few tries to get comfortable with this game's new controls, especially for those who have been playing Monster Hunter: World. Get back out there and experience this new Monster Hunter adventure.
