Gia Giudice, daughter of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, has earned a new fan of her viral song: Will Smith. The actor used Gia's "Sad Song" on TikTok to poke fun at a goofy video of his own.
RHONJ fans first heard Gia's "Sad Song" on season 3 when then 10-year-old Gia performed the ballad at her sister Milania's birthday party. Gia wrote the tune to express her sadness and frustration at the fractured relationship between her parents Teresa and Joe Giudice and her beloved uncle and aunt Joe and Melissa Gorga. Even though Gia penned "Sad Song" in 2011, it was known only to Real Housewives of New Jersey fans until this year when it achieved viral fame on TikTok. Creators use the audio to underscore cringe-worthy moments of their own past that also cause them to be "Waking up in the morning thinking about so many things..."
Now, actor Will Smith is using Gia's song to put his own spin on the TikTok trend. The Men in Black and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star used the viral audio as a precursor to a hilarious video from his own past. He shared a clip from a 2018 video he posted in celebration of St. Patrick's Day which featured the actor wearing an all-green ensemble, complete with a kilt. Smith danced and sang in a hotel room to his own unreleased original song entitled "Freak Accident." Smith captioned the TikTok: "I'm a triple threat: I'm an actor, rapper, and whatever this is."
Even though her song has inspired thousands of TikTok creators including Will Smith, Gia is still a bit embarrassed that her decade-old song has resurfaced. CommentsByBravo captured Gia's comment that "this is gonna haunt me my whole life." Fellow RHONJ daughter Ashlee Malleo, daughter of Jacqueline Laurita, replied that it's "Better that than a hair pull Gia," referring to the infamous moment when Ashlee pulled Danielle Staub's hair. However, after Cardi B herself mentioned how much she enjoyed hearing Gia's song on TikTok, Gia replied "this is unreal" before asking the rapper to meet up in the Bahamas..
Despite her viral fame and A-list fans, Gia is still doing her best to enjoy the typical life of a 20-year-old. The Rutgers University student has been spending time with her mother and sisters, hanging out with her boyfriend, and visiting her father whenever possible. Gia's dad Joe Giudice is living in his native Italy following his jail sentence and deportation. And despite recent drama with New Jersey Housewife Jackie Goldschneider, who used an inappropriate analogy that falsely insinuated that Gia engaged in drug use, Gia is keeping her head high. In her "Sad Song," Gia lamented "I just wish things would get better." Since Will Smith as a new fan of hers, things certainly have.
